1 N eprihăniţilor, bucuraţi-vă în Domnul! Oamenilor fără prihană le şade bine cîntarea de laudă.

Sing, ye righteous, in Jehovah, For upright ones praise comely.

2 L ăudaţi pe Domnul cu arfa, lăudaţi -L cu alăuta cu zece coarde.

Give ye thanks to Jehovah with a harp, With psaltery of ten strings sing praise to Him,

3 C întaţi -I o cîntare nouă! Faceţi să răsune coardele şi glasurile voastre!

Sing ye to Him a new song, Play skilfully with shouting.

4 C ăci Cuvîntul Domnului este adevărat, şi toate lucrările Lui se împlinesc cu credincioşie.

For upright the word of Jehovah, And all His work in faithfulness.

5 E l iubeşte dreptatea şi neprihănirea; bunătatea Domnului umple pămîntul.

Loving righteousness and judgment, Of the kindness of Jehovah is the earth full.

6 C erurile au fost făcute prin Cuvîntul Domnului, şi toată oştirea lor prin suflarea gurii lui.

By the word of Jehovah The heavens have been made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.

7 E l îngrămădeşte apele mării într'un morman, şi pune adîncurile în cămări.

Gathering as a heap the waters of the sea, Putting in treasuries the depths.

8 T ot pămîntul să se teamă de Domnul! Toţi locuitorii lumii să tremure înaintea Lui!

Afraid of Jehovah are all the earth, Of Him are all the inhabitants of the world afraid.

9 C ăci el zice, şi se face; porunceşte şi ce porunceşte ia fiinţă.

For He hath said, and it is, He hath commanded, and it standeth.

10 D omnul răstoarnă sfaturile Neamurilor, zădărniceşte planurile popoarelor.

Jehovah made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.

11 D ar sfaturile Domnului dăinuiesc pe vecie, şi planurile inimii Lui, din neam în neam.

The counsel of Jehovah to the age standeth, The thoughts of His heart to all generations.

12 F erice de poporul, al cărui Dumnezeu este Domnul! Ferice de poporul, pe care Şi -l alege El de moştenire!

O the happiness of the nation whose God Jehovah, Of the people He did choose, For an inheritance to Him.

13 D omnul priveşte din înălţimea cerurilor, şi vede pe toţi fiii oamenilor.

From the heavens hath Jehovah looked, He hath seen all the sons of men.

14 D in locaşul locuinţei Lui, El priveşte pe toţi locuitorii pămîntului.

From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked unto all inhabitants of the earth;

15 E l le întocmeşte inima la toţi, şi ia aminte la toate faptele lor.

Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.

16 N u mărimea oştirii scapă pe împărat, nu mărimea puterii izbăveşte pe viteaz;

The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.

17 c alul nu poate da chezăşia biruinţei, şi toată vlaga lui nu dă izbăvirea.

A false thing the horse for safety, And by the abundance of his strength He doth not deliver.

18 I ată, ochiul Domnului priveşte peste ceice se tem de El, peste ceice nădăjduiesc în bunătatea Lui,

Lo, the eye of Jehovah to those fearing Him, To those waiting for His kindness,

19 c a să le scape sufletul dela moarte, şi să -i ţină cu viaţă în mijlocul foametei.

To deliver from death their soul, And to keep them alive in famine.

20 S ufletul nostru nădăjduieşte în Domnul; El este Ajutorul şi Scutul nostru.

Our soul hath waited for Jehovah, Our help and our shield He,

21 D a, inima noastră îşi găseşte bucuria în El, căci avem încredere în Numele Lui cel Sfînt.

For in Him doth our heart rejoice, For in His holy name we have trusted.

22 D oamne, fie îndurarea Ta peste noi, după cum o nădăjduim noi dela Tine!

Let Thy kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, As we have waited for Thee!
