2 T oată ziua mă hărţuiesc protivnicii mei; sînt mulţi, şi se războiesc cu mine ca nişte trufaşi.

Mine enemies have swallowed up all the day, For many fighting against me, O most High,

3 O ridecîteori mă tem, eu mă încred în Tine.

The day I am afraid I am confident toward Thee.

4 E u mă voi lăuda cu Dumnezeu, cu Cuvîntul Lui. Mă încred în Dumnezeu, şi nu mă tem de nimic: ce pot să-mi facă nişte oameni?

In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, I fear not what flesh doth to me.

5 Î ntr'una ei îmi ating drepturile, şi n'au decît gînduri rele faţă de mine.

All the day they wrest my words, Concerning me all their thoughts for evil,

6 U neltesc, pîndesc şi îmi urmăresc paşii, pentru că vor să-mi ia viaţa.

They assemble, they hide, they watch my heels, When they have expected my soul.

7 E i trag nădejde să scape prin nelegiuirea lor: doboară popoarele, Dumnezeule, în mînia Ta!

By iniquity they escape, In anger the peoples put down, O God.

8 T u numeri paşii vieţii mele de pribeag; pune-mi lacrămile în burduful Tău: nu sînt ele scrise în cartea Ta?

My wandering Thou hast counted, Thou -- place Thou my tear in Thy bottle, Are they not in Thy book?

9 V răjmaşii mei dau înapoi, în ziua cînd Te strig: ştiu că Dumnezeu este de partea mea.

Then turn back do mine enemies in the day I call. This I have known, that God for me.

10 E u mă voi lăuda cu Dumnezeu, cu Cuvîntul Lui, da, mă voi lăuda cu Domnul, cu Cuvîntul Lui.

In God I praise the word, In Jehovah I praise the word.

11 M ă încred în Dumnezeu, şi nu mă tem de nimic: Ce pot să-mi facă nişte oameni?

In God I trusted, I fear not what man doth to me,

12 D umnezeule, trebuie să împlinesc juruinţele pe cari Ţi le-am făcut; Îţi voi aduce jertfe de mulţămire.

On me, O God, Thy vows, I repay thank-offerings to Thee.

13 C ăci mi-ai izbăvit sufletul dela moarte, mi-ai ferit picioarele de cădere, ca să umblu înaintea lui Dumnezeu, în lumina celor vii.

For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, Dost Thou not my feet from falling? To walk habitually before God in the light of the living!
