1 D omnul a vorbit lui Moise şi lui Aaron, şi a zis:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,

2 C înd un om va avea pe pielea trupului o umflătură, o pecingine, sau o pată albă, care va semăna cu o rană de lepră pe pielea trupului lui, trebuie adus la preotul Aaron, sau la unul din fiii lui, cari sînt preoţi.

`When a man hath in the skin of his flesh a rising, or scab, or bright spot, and it hath become in the skin of his flesh a leprous plague, then he hath been brought in unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests;

3 P reotul să cerceteze rana de pe pielea trupului. Dacă părul din rană s'a făcut alb, şi dacă rana se arată mai adîncă decît pielea trupului, este o rană de lepră: preotul care va face cercetarea, să declare pe omul acela necurat.

and the priest hath seen the plague in the skin of the flesh, and the hair in the plague hath turned white, and the appearance of the plague deeper than the skin of his flesh -- it a plague of leprosy, and the priest hath seen him, and hath pronounced him unclean.

4 D acă pe pielea trupului va fi o pată albă, care nu se arată mai adîncă decît pielea, şi dacă părul nu s'a făcut alb, preotul să închidă şapte zile pe cel cu rana.

`And if the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and its hair hath not turned white, then hath the priest shut up the plague seven days.

5 A şaptea zi preotul să -l cerceteze iarăş. Dacă i se pare că rana a stat pe loc şi nu s'a întins pe piele, preotul să -l închidă a doua oară încă şapte zile.

`And the priest hath seen him on the seventh day, and lo, the plague hath stood in his eyes, the plague hath not spread in the skin, and the priest hath shut him up a second seven days.

6 P reotul să -l cerceteze a doua oară în ziua a şaptea. Dacă rana a mai scăzut şi nu s'a întins pe piele, preotul va spune că omul acesta este curat: este o pecingine; el să-şi spele hainele, şi va fi curat.

`And the priest hath seen him on the second seventh day, and lo, the plague is become weak, and the plague hath not spread in the skin -- and the priest hath pronounced him clean, it a scab, and he hath washed his garments, and hath been clean.

7 D ar dacă pecinginea s'a întins pe piele, dupăce s'a arătat el preotului şi după ce acesta l -a declarat curat, să se mai supună încă odată cercetării preotului.

`And if the scab spread greatly in the skin, after his being seen by the priest for his cleansing, then he hath been seen a second time by the priest;

8 P reotul îl va cerceta. Dacă pecinginea s'a întins pe piele, preotul îl va declara necurat: este lepră.

and the priest hath seen, and lo, the scab hath spread in the skin, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it leprosy.

9 C înd se va arăta o rană de lepră pe un om, să -l aducă la preot.

`When a plague of leprosy is in a man, then he hath been brought in unto the priest,

10 P reotul să -l cerceteze. Şi dacă are pe piele o umflătură albă, dacă umflătura aceasta a făcut ca părul să albească, şi în umflătură este şi o urmă de carne vie,

and the priest hath seen, and lo, a white rising in the skin, and it hath turned the hair white, and a quickening of raw flesh in the rising, --

11 a tunci pe pielea trupului omului acestuia este o lepră învechită: preotul să -l declare necurat; să nu -l închidă, căci este necurat.

an old leprosy it in the skin of his flesh, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; he doth not shut him up, for he unclean.

12 D acă lepra va face o spuzeală pe piele, şi va acoperi toată pielea celui cu rana, din cap pînă în picioare, pretutindeni pe unde-şi va arunca preotul privirile,

`And if the leprosy break out greatly in the skin, and the leprosy hath covered all the skin of the plague, from his head even unto his feet, to all that appeareth to the eyes of the priest,

13 p reotul să -l cerceteze; şi dacă va vedea că lepra a acoperit tot trupul, să declare curat pe cel cu rana: fiindcă s'a făcut toată albă, el este curat.

then hath the priest seen, and lo, the leprosy hath covered all his flesh, and he hath pronounced the plague clean; it hath all turned white; he clean.

14 D ar în ziua cînd se va vedea în el carne vie, va fi necurat;

`And in the day of raw flesh being seen in him he is unclean;

15 c înd preotul va vedea carnea vie, să -l declare necurat: carnea vie este necurată, este lepră.

and the priest hath seen the raw flesh, and hath pronounced him unclean; the raw flesh is unclean, it leprosy.

16 D acă se schimbă carnea vie şi se face albă, să se ducă la preot;

Or when the raw flesh turneth back, and hath been turned to white, then he hath come in unto the priest,

17 p reotul să -l cerceteze, şi dacă rana s'a făcut albă, preotul să declare curat pe cel cu rana: el este curat.

and the priest hath seen him, and lo, the plague hath been turned to white, and the priest hath pronounced clean the plague; he clean.

18 C înd un om va avea pe pielea trupului său o bubă care a fost tămăduită,

`And when flesh hath in it, in its skin, an ulcer, and it hath been healed,

19 ş i pe locul unde era buba se va arăta o umflătură albă sau o pată de un alb roşietic, omul acela să se arate preotului.

and there hath been in the place of the ulcer a white rising, or a bright white spot, very red, then it hath been seen by the priest,

20 P reotul să -l cerceteze. Dacă pata pare mai adîncă decît pielea, şi dacă părul s'a făcut alb, preotul să -l declare necurat: este o rană de lepră, care a dat în bubă.

and the priest hath seen, and lo, its appearance lower than the skin, and its hair hath turned white, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it a plague of leprosy -- in an ulcer it hath broken out.

21 D acă preotul vede că nu este păr alb în pată, că ea nu este mai adîncă decît pielea, şi că a mai scăzut, să închidă pe omul acela şapte zile.

`And if the priest see it, and lo, there is no white hair in it, and it is not lower than the skin, and is become weak, then hath the priest shut him up seven days;

22 D acă s'a întins pata pe piele, preotul să -l declare necurat: este o rană de lepră.

and if it spread greatly in the skin, then hath the priest pronounced him unclean, it a plague;

23 D ar dacă pata a rămas pe loc şi nu s'a întins, este semnul rănii uscate unde a fost buba; preotul să -l declare curat.

and if in its place the bright spot stay -- it hath not spread -- it an inflammation of the ulcer; and the priest hath pronounced him clean.

24 C înd un om va avea pe pielea trupului o arsură pricinuită de foc, şi se va arăta pe urma arsurii o pată albă sau de un alb roşietic,

`Or when flesh hath in its skin a fiery burning, and the quickening of the burning, the bright white spot, hath been very red or white,

25 p reotul să -l cerceteze. Dacă părul din pată s'a făcut alb, şi ea pare mai adîncă decît pielea, este lepră, care a dat în arsură; preotul să declare pe omul acela necurat: este o rană de lepră.

and the priest hath seen it, and lo, the hair hath turned white in the bright spot, and its appearance deeper than the skin; leprosy it, in the burning it hath broken out, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it a plague of leprosy.

26 D acă preotul vede că nu este păr alb în pată, că ea nu este mai adîncă decît pielea, şi că a mai scăzut, să închidă pe omul acela şapte zile.

`And if the priest see it, and lo, there is no white hair on the bright spot, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is become weak, then the priest hath shut him up seven days;

27 P reotul să -l cerceteze a şaptea zi. Şi dacă pata s'a întins pe piele, preotul să -l declare necurat: este o rană de lepră.

and the priest hath seen him on the seventh day, if it spread greatly in the skin, then the priest hath pronounced him unclean; a plague of leprosy it.

28 D ar dacă pata a rămas pe loc, nu s'a întins pe piele, şi a mai scăzut, este o rană pricinuită de umflătura arsurii; preotul să -l declare curat, căci este semnul rănii vindecate a arsurii.

`And if the bright spot stay in its place, it hath not spread in the skin, and is become weak; a rising of the burning it, and the priest hath pronounced him clean; for it inflammation of the burning.

29 C înd un bărbat sau o femeie va avea o rană pe cap sau la barbă,

`And when a man (or a woman) hath in him a plague in the head or in the beard,

30 p reotul să cerceteze rana. Dacă pare mai adîncă decît pielea şi are păr gălbui şi subţire, preotul să declare pe omul acela necurat: este rîie de cap, este lepră de cap sau de barbă.

then hath the priest seen the plague, and lo, its appearance is deeper than the skin, and in it a thin shining hair, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it a scall -- it a leprosy of the head or of the beard.

31 D acă preotul vede că rana rîiei nu pare mai adîncă decît pielea, şi n'are păr negru, să închidă şapte zile pe cel cu rana de rîie la cap.

`And when the priest seeth the plague of the scall, and lo, its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then hath the priest shut up the plague of the scall seven days.

32 P reotul să cerceteze rana a şaptea zi. Dacă rîia nu s'a întins, dacă n'are păr gălbui, şi dacă nu pare mai adîncă decît pielea,

`And the priest hath seen the plague on the seventh day, and lo, the scall hath not spread, and a shining hair hath not been in it, and the appearance of the scall is not deeper than the skin,

33 c el cu rîia la cap să se radă, dar să nu radă locul unde este rîia; şi preotul să -l închidă a doua oară şapte zile.

then he hath shaved himself, but the scall he doth not shave; and the priest hath shut up the scall a second seven days.

34 P reotul să cerceteze rîia a şaptea zi. Dacă rîia nu s'a întins pe piele, şi nu pare mai adîncă decît pielea, preotul să -l declare curat; el să-şi spele hainele, şi va fi curat.

And the priest hath seen the scall on the seventh day, and lo, the scall hath not spread in the skin, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and the priest hath pronounced him clean, and he hath washed his garments, and hath been clean.

35 D ar dacă rîia s'a întins pe piele, dupăce a fost declarat curat,

`And if the scall spread greatly in the skin after his cleansing,

36 p reotul să -l cerceteze. Şi dacă rîia s'a întins pe piele, preotul n'are să mai caute să vadă dacă are păr galbui: este necurat.

and the priest hath seen him, and lo, the scall hath spread in the skin, the priest seeketh not for the shining hair, he is unclean;

37 D acă i se pare că rîia a stătut pe loc, şi că din ea a crescut păr negru, rîia este vindecată: este curat, şi preotul să -l declare curat.

and if in his eyes the scall hath stayed, and black hair hath sprung up in it, the scall hath been healed -- he clean -- and the priest hath pronounced him clean.

38 C înd un bărbat sau o femeie va avea pete pe pielea trupului, şi anume pete albe,

`And when a man or woman hath in the skin of their flesh bright spots, white bright spots,

39 p reotul să -l cerceteze. Dacă pe pielea trupului lui sînt pete de un alb gălbui, acestea nu sînt decît nişte pete cari au făcut spuzeală pe piele: este curat.

and the priest hath seen, and lo, in the skin of their flesh white weak bright spots, it a freckled spot broken out in the skin; he clean.

40 C înd unui om îi va cădea părul de pe cap, este pleşuv: este curat.

`And when a man's head polished, he bald, he clean;

41 D acă i -a căzut părul de pe cap numai în partea dinainte, este pleşuv în partea dinainte: este curat.

and if from the corner of his face his head is polished, he bald of the forehead; he clean.

42 D ar dacă în partea pleşuvă dinainte sau dinapoi este o rană de un alb roşietic, este lepră, care a făcut spuzeală în partea pleşuvă dinainte sau dinapoi.

`And when there is in the bald back of the head, or in the bald forehead, a very red white plague, it a leprosy breaking out in the bald back of the head, or in the bald forehead;

43 P reotul să -l cerceteze. Dacă în partea pleşuvă dinapoi sau dinainte este o umflătură de rană de un alb roşietic, asemănătoare cu lepra de pe pielea trupului,

and the priest hath seen him, and lo, the rising of the very red white plague in the bald back of the head, or in the bald forehead, as the appearance of leprosy, in the skin of the flesh,

44 e ste lepros, este necurat: preotul să -l declare necurat; rana lui este pe cap.

he a leprous man, he unclean; the priest doth pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague in his head.

45 L eprosul, atins de această rană, să-şi poarte hainele sfîşiate, şi să umble cu capul gol; să-şi acopere barba, şi să strige:, Necurat! Necurat!`

`As to the leper in whom the plague, his garments are rent, and his head is uncovered, and he covereth over the upper lip, and `Unclean! unclean!' he calleth;

46 C îtă vreme va avea rana, va fi necurat: este necurat. Să locuiască singur; locuinţa lui să fie afară din tabără.

all the days that the plague in him he is unclean; he unclean, alone he doth dwell, at the outside of the camp his dwelling.

47 C înd se va arăta o rană de lepră pe o haină, fie haină de lînă, fie haină de in,

`And when there is in any garment a plague of leprosy, -- in a garment of wool, or in a garment of linen,

48 î n urzeală sau în bătătură de in sau de lînă, pe o piele sau pe vreun lucru de piele,

or in the warp, or in the woof, of linen or of wool, or in a skin, or in any work of skin,

49 ş i rana va fi verzuie sau roşietică pe haină sau pe piele, în urzeală sau în bătătură, sau pe vreun lucru de piele, este o rană de lepră, şi trebuie arătată preotului.

and the plague hath been very green or very red in the garment, or in the skin, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any vessel of skin, it a plague of leprosy, and it hath been shewn the priest.

50 P reotul să cerceteze rana, şi să închidă şapte zile lucrul cu rana.

`And the priest hath seen the plague, and hath shut up the plague, seven days;

51 S ă cerceteze a şaptea zi rana. Dacă rana s'a întins pe haină, în urzeală sau în bătătură, pe piele sau pe lucrul acela de piele, este o rană de lepră învechită: lucrul acela este necurat.

and he hath seen the plague on the seventh day, and the plague hath spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in the skin, of all that is made of skin for work; the plague a fretting leprosy, it unclean.

52 S ă ardă haina, urzeala sau bătătura de lînă sau de in, sau lucrul de piele pe care se găseşte rana, căci este o lepră învechită: să fie ars în foc.

`And he hath burnt the garment, or the warp, or the woof, in wool or in linen, or any vessel of skin in which the plague is; for it a fretting leprosy; with fire it is burnt.

53 D ar dacă preotul vede că rana nu s'a întins pe haină, pe urzeală sau pe bătătură, sau pe lucrul acela de piele,

`And if the priest see, and lo, the plague hath not spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any vessel of skin,

54 s ă poruncească să se spele partea atinsă de rană, şi să -l închidă a doua oară şapte zile.

then hath the priest commanded, and they have washed that in which the plague, and he hath shut it up a second seven days.

55 P reotul să cerceteze rana, după ce se va spăla. Şi dacă rana nu şi -a schimbat înfăţişarea şi nu s'a întins, lucrul acela este necurat: să fie ars în foc, căci o parte din faţă sau din dos a fost roasă.

And the priest hath seen the plague after it hath been washed, and lo, the plague hath not changed its aspect, and the plague hath not spread, -- it unclean; with fire thou dost burn it; it a fretting in its back-part or in its front-part.

56 D acă preotul vede că rana a mai scăzut, după ce a fost spălată, s'o rupă din haină sau din piele, din urzeală sau din bătătură.

`And if the priest hath seen, and lo, the plague become weak after it hath been washed, then he hath rent it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof;

57 Ş i dacă se mai iveşte pe haină, în urzeală sau în bătătură, sau pe lucrul de piele, înseamnă că este o spuzeală de lepră: lucrul atins de rană să fie ars în foc.

and if it still be seen in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any vessel of skin, it a fretting; with fire thou dost burn it -- that in which the plague.

58 H aina, urzeala sau bătătura, sau vreun lucru de piele, care a fost spălat, şi unde a pierit rana, să se mai spele a doua oară, şi va fi curat.

`And the garment, or the warp, or the woof, or any vessel of skin which thou dost wash when the plague hath turned aside from them, then it hath been washed a second time, and hath been clean.

59 A ceasta este legea privitoare la rana leprei, cînd loveşte hainele de lînă sau de in, urzeala sau bătătura, sau un lucru oarecare de piele, şi după care vor fi declarate curate sau necurate.``

`This the law of a plague of leprosy a garment of wool or of linen, or of the warp or of the woof, or of any vessel of skin, to pronounce it clean or to pronounce it unclean.'
