1 D omnul le-a zis lui Moise şi lui Aaron:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,

2 „ Dacă un om are pe pielea trupului său o umflătură, o erupţie sau o pată albă, care se aseamănă cu rana de lepră pe pielea trupului său, el trebuie să fie adus la preotul Aaron sau la unul din fiii săi, preoţii.

`When a man hath in the skin of his flesh a rising, or scab, or bright spot, and it hath become in the skin of his flesh a leprous plague, then he hath been brought in unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests;

3 P reotul să-i cerceteze rana de pe pielea trupului, iar dacă părul din rană s-a albit şi rana este mai adâncă decât pielea trupului său, atunci este lepră; după ce preotul l-a cercetat, să-l declare necurat.

and the priest hath seen the plague in the skin of the flesh, and the hair in the plague hath turned white, and the appearance of the plague deeper than the skin of his flesh -- it a plague of leprosy, and the priest hath seen him, and hath pronounced him unclean.

4 D ar dacă pata este albă pe pielea trupului său şi nu este mai adâncă decât pielea, iar părul nu s-a albit, atunci preotul să-l închidă pe cel cu rana şapte zile.

`And if the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and its hair hath not turned white, then hath the priest shut up the plague seven days.

5 Î n a şaptea zi preotul va trebui să-l cerceteze; dacă i se va părea că rana a rămas aşa cum a fost şi nu s-a împrăştiat pe piele, atunci preotul să-l închidă încă şapte zile.

`And the priest hath seen him on the seventh day, and lo, the plague hath stood in his eyes, the plague hath not spread in the skin, and the priest hath shut him up a second seven days.

6 Î n ziua a şaptea preotul să-l cerceteze din nou, iar dacă rana a mai scăzut şi nu s-a întins pe piele, atunci preotul să-l declare curat, căci este doar o erupţie; el să-şi spele hainele şi va fi curat.

`And the priest hath seen him on the second seventh day, and lo, the plague is become weak, and the plague hath not spread in the skin -- and the priest hath pronounced him clean, it a scab, and he hath washed his garments, and hath been clean.

7 D acă erupţia se întinde pe piele după ce omul s-a arătat preotului pentru a fi declarat curat, el va trebui să vină din nou înaintea preotului.

`And if the scab spread greatly in the skin, after his being seen by the priest for his cleansing, then he hath been seen a second time by the priest;

8 P reotul să-l cerceteze şi dacă erupţia s-a întins pe piele, preotul să-l declare necurat, căci are lepră.

and the priest hath seen, and lo, the scab hath spread in the skin, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it leprosy.

9 D acă cineva are o rană de lepră, să fie adus la preot.

`When a plague of leprosy is in a man, then he hath been brought in unto the priest,

10 P reotul să-l cerceteze şi dacă pe piele este o umflătură albă care a făcut ca şi părul să se albească, iar în umflătură este şi o urmă de carne vie,

and the priest hath seen, and lo, a white rising in the skin, and it hath turned the hair white, and a quickening of raw flesh in the rising, --

11 a tunci pe pielea trupului acelui om se află o lepră veche. Preotul să-l declare necurat; să nu-l închidă, pentru că este necurat.

an old leprosy it in the skin of his flesh, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; he doth not shut him up, for he unclean.

12 D ar dacă lepra erupe pe piele şi acoperă toată pielea, din creştet până în tălpi, pretutindeni pe unde se uită preotul,

`And if the leprosy break out greatly in the skin, and the leprosy hath covered all the skin of the plague, from his head even unto his feet, to all that appeareth to the eyes of the priest,

13 p reotul să-l cerceteze şi dacă lepra i-a acoperit tot trupul, atunci va trebui să-l declare curat pe cel cu rana; el este curat deoarece toată rana s-a albit.

then hath the priest seen, and lo, the leprosy hath covered all his flesh, and he hath pronounced the plague clean; it hath all turned white; he clean.

14 D acă însă mai apare vreo urmă de carne vie pe el, va fi necurat.

`And in the day of raw flesh being seen in him he is unclean;

15 P reotul să cerceteze carnea vie şi să-l declare necurat. Carnea vie este necurată, pentru că este lepră.

and the priest hath seen the raw flesh, and hath pronounced him unclean; the raw flesh is unclean, it leprosy.

16 D ar dacă carnea vie se face albă, el trebuie să vină la preot.

Or when the raw flesh turneth back, and hath been turned to white, then he hath come in unto the priest,

17 P reotul să-l cerceteze, iar dacă rana s-a albit, atunci preotul să-l declare curat pe cel cu rana. El este curat.

and the priest hath seen him, and lo, the plague hath been turned to white, and the priest hath pronounced clean the plague; he clean.

18 D acă cineva are pe pielea trupului său o bubă care s-a vindecat,

`And when flesh hath in it, in its skin, an ulcer, and it hath been healed,

19 i ar pe locul unde era buba apare o umflătură albă sau o pată de un alb-roşiatic, omul acela să se înfăţişeze înaintea preotului.

and there hath been in the place of the ulcer a white rising, or a bright white spot, very red, then it hath been seen by the priest,

20 P reotul să-l cerceteze, iar dacă pata este mai adâncă decât pielea şi dacă părul s-a albit, preotul să-l declare necurat; este o rană de lepră care a erupt în bubă.

and the priest hath seen, and lo, its appearance lower than the skin, and its hair hath turned white, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it a plague of leprosy -- in an ulcer it hath broken out.

21 Î nsă dacă preotul o cercetează şi părul nu este alb, iar pata nu este mai adâncă decât pielea, ci a scăzut, preotul să-l închidă şapte zile.

`And if the priest see it, and lo, there is no white hair in it, and it is not lower than the skin, and is become weak, then hath the priest shut him up seven days;

22 D acă, în cele din urmă, se împrăştie pe piele, preotul să-l declare necurat; este o rană de lepră.

and if it spread greatly in the skin, then hath the priest pronounced him unclean, it a plague;

23 D ar dacă pata rămâne într-un loc şi nu se împrăştie, atunci este vorba de cicatricea bubei; preotul să-l declare curat.

and if in its place the bright spot stay -- it hath not spread -- it an inflammation of the ulcer; and the priest hath pronounced him clean.

24 D acă un om are o arsură pe piele şi carnea vie a arsurii devine o pată alb-roşiatică sau albă,

`Or when flesh hath in its skin a fiery burning, and the quickening of the burning, the bright white spot, hath been very red or white,

25 p reotul s-o cerceteze, iar dacă părul de pe pată s-a albit şi pata este mai adâncă decât pielea, atunci este o rană de lepră care a erupt în arsură; preotul să-l declare necurat pe omul acela, căci are o rană de lepră.

and the priest hath seen it, and lo, the hair hath turned white in the bright spot, and its appearance deeper than the skin; leprosy it, in the burning it hath broken out, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it a plague of leprosy.

26 D ar dacă preotul cercetează pata şi vede că părul de pe ea nu s-a albit, şi ea nu este mai adâncă decât pielea, ci a scăzut, atunci preotul să-l închidă şapte zile.

`And if the priest see it, and lo, there is no white hair on the bright spot, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is become weak, then the priest hath shut him up seven days;

27 Î n a şaptea zi preotul va trebui să-l cerceteze şi dacă pata s-a împrăştiat pe piele, atunci preotul să-l declare necurat. Este o rană de lepră.

and the priest hath seen him on the seventh day, if it spread greatly in the skin, then the priest hath pronounced him unclean; a plague of leprosy it.

28 D ar dacă pata a rămas într-un loc şi nu s-a întins pe piele, ci a scăzut, înseamnă că este o umflătură de la arsură; preotul să-l declare curat, căci este vorba de cicatricea arsurii.

`And if the bright spot stay in its place, it hath not spread in the skin, and is become weak; a rising of the burning it, and the priest hath pronounced him clean; for it inflammation of the burning.

29 D acă un bărbat sau o femeie au o rană pe cap sau la barbă,

`And when a man (or a woman) hath in him a plague in the head or in the beard,

30 p reotul să cerceteze rana. Dacă este mai adâncă decât pielea, iar părul de pe ea este gălbui şi subţire, preotul să-l declare necurat; rana este o râie de cap sau de barbă.

then hath the priest seen the plague, and lo, its appearance is deeper than the skin, and in it a thin shining hair, and the priest hath pronounced him unclean; it a scall -- it a leprosy of the head or of the beard.

31 D acă preotul vede că rana râiei nu este mai adâncă decât pielea şi nu este păr negru pe ea, atunci preotul să-l închidă pe cel cu rana timp de şapte zile.

`And when the priest seeth the plague of the scall, and lo, its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then hath the priest shut up the plague of the scall seven days.

32 Î n cea de-a şaptea zi preotul să cerceteze râia; dacă râia nu s-a întins, nu are păr gălbui pe ea şi nu este mai adâncă decât pielea,

`And the priest hath seen the plague on the seventh day, and lo, the scall hath not spread, and a shining hair hath not been in it, and the appearance of the scall is not deeper than the skin,

33 a tunci omul acela trebuie să se radă, dar nu şi acolo unde este râia. Preotul să-l închidă pe cel cu râia încă şapte zile.

then he hath shaved himself, but the scall he doth not shave; and the priest hath shut up the scall a second seven days.

34 Î n cea de-a şaptea zi preotul să cerceteze din nou râia; dacă râia nu s-a întins pe piele şi nu este mai adâncă decât pielea, atunci preotul poate să-l declare curat. El să-şi spele hainele şi va fi curat.

And the priest hath seen the scall on the seventh day, and lo, the scall hath not spread in the skin, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and the priest hath pronounced him clean, and he hath washed his garments, and hath been clean.

35 D ar dacă se pare că râia s-a întins pe piele după ce a fost declarat curat,

`And if the scall spread greatly in the skin after his cleansing,

36 p reotul să-l cerceteze din nou. Dacă într-adevăr râia s-a întins pe piele, preotul nu va mai trebui să se uite după păr gălbui; omul acela este necurat.

and the priest hath seen him, and lo, the scall hath spread in the skin, the priest seeketh not for the shining hair, he is unclean;

37 D acă vede că râia a stat totuşi pe loc şi a crescut păr negru pe ea, înseamnă că râia s-a vindecat; omul acela este curat şi preotul să-l declare curat.

and if in his eyes the scall hath stayed, and black hair hath sprung up in it, the scall hath been healed -- he clean -- and the priest hath pronounced him clean.

38 D acă un bărbat sau o femeie au pete pe pielea trupului, pete albe,

`And when a man or woman hath in the skin of their flesh bright spots, white bright spots,

39 p reotul să le cerceteze. Dacă petele de pe pielea trupului sunt de un alb gălbui, acestea nu sunt decât nişte pete care au erupt pe piele; el este curat.

and the priest hath seen, and lo, in the skin of their flesh white weak bright spots, it a freckled spot broken out in the skin; he clean.

40 D acă unui om îi cade părul de pe cap, el devine pleşuv, dar este curat.

`And when a man's head polished, he bald, he clean;

41 D acă părul îi cade de pe frunte, el devine pleşuv pe frunte, dar este curat.

and if from the corner of his face his head is polished, he bald of the forehead; he clean.

42 Î nsă dacă pe capul sau pe fruntea pleşuvă va avea o pată de culoare alb-roşiatică, atunci aceasta este lepră; ea a erupt pe partea pleşuvă sau pe fruntea pleşuvă.

`And when there is in the bald back of the head, or in the bald forehead, a very red white plague, it a leprosy breaking out in the bald back of the head, or in the bald forehead;

43 V a trebui ca preotul să-l cerceteze; dacă pe partea pleşuvă sau pe fruntea pleşuvă umflătura rănii este de un alb-roşiatic care seamănă cu lepra de pe pielea trupului,

and the priest hath seen him, and lo, the rising of the very red white plague in the bald back of the head, or in the bald forehead, as the appearance of leprosy, in the skin of the flesh,

44 a tunci el este lepros, este necurat. Preotul să-l declare necurat, căci are o rană pe cap.

he a leprous man, he unclean; the priest doth pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague in his head.

45 L eprosul care are acea rană trebuie să poarte haine sfâşiate, să umble cu capul gol, să-şi acopere barba şi să strige: «Necurat! Necurat!»

`As to the leper in whom the plague, his garments are rent, and his head is uncovered, and he covereth over the upper lip, and `Unclean! unclean!' he calleth;

46 E l va fi necurat atâta timp cât are rana; este necurat. Să trăiască singur şi locuinţa sa să fie în afara taberei. Reglementarea curăţiei în cazul mucegaiului

all the days that the plague in him he is unclean; he unclean, alone he doth dwell, at the outside of the camp his dwelling.

47 D acă va apărea o pată ca de lepră pe îmbrăcăminte, pe o haină de lână sau de in,

`And when there is in any garment a plague of leprosy, -- in a garment of wool, or in a garment of linen,

48 p e o ţesătură sau pe o bătătură de in ori de lână, pe o piele sau pe un lucru din piele,

or in the warp, or in the woof, of linen or of wool, or in a skin, or in any work of skin,

49 d acă pata de pe haină, de pe piele sau de pe vreun lucru din piele, de pe ţesătură sau de pe bătătură, va fi de culoare verzuie sau roşiatică, atunci aceasta este o pată de lepră şi trebuie arătată preotului.

and the plague hath been very green or very red in the garment, or in the skin, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any vessel of skin, it a plague of leprosy, and it hath been shewn the priest.

50 P reotul să cerceteze pata şi să închidă şapte zile materialul pe care este pata.

`And the priest hath seen the plague, and hath shut up the plague, seven days;

51 Î n ziua a şaptea să cerceteze din nou pata şi dacă aceasta s-a întins pe haină sau în ţesătură sau în bătătură, pe piele sau pe ceva din piele, atunci este o pată de lepră care se întinde; lucrul acela este necurat.

and he hath seen the plague on the seventh day, and the plague hath spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in the skin, of all that is made of skin for work; the plague a fretting leprosy, it unclean.

52 E l trebuie să ardă haina, ţesătura sau bătătura de lână ori de in sau orice altceva din piele, pentru că este o lepră care se întinde; materialul să fie ars în foc.

`And he hath burnt the garment, or the warp, or the woof, in wool or in linen, or any vessel of skin in which the plague is; for it a fretting leprosy; with fire it is burnt.

53 D ar dacă preotul o cercetează şi pata nu s-a întins pe haină sau în ţesătură sau în bătătură sau pe vreun lucru din piele,

`And if the priest see, and lo, the plague hath not spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any vessel of skin,

54 a tunci preotul să poruncească să se spele materialul pe care este pata şi să-l închidă încă şapte zile.

then hath the priest commanded, and they have washed that in which the plague, and he hath shut it up a second seven days.

55 P reotul să cerceteze materialul cu pata după ce a fost spălat. Dacă pata nu şi-a schimbat culoarea, chiar dacă nu s-a întins, materialul este necurat; să-l ardeţi în foc, căci pata continuă să roadă, fie înăuntru, fie în afară.

And the priest hath seen the plague after it hath been washed, and lo, the plague hath not changed its aspect, and the plague hath not spread, -- it unclean; with fire thou dost burn it; it a fretting in its back-part or in its front-part.

56 Î nsă dacă preotul o cercetează şi vede că pata s-a micşorat după ce a fost spălată, atunci va trebui să o rupă din haină, din ţesătură, din bătătură sau din piele.

`And if the priest hath seen, and lo, the plague become weak after it hath been washed, then he hath rent it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof;

57 D acă apare din nou pe haină sau pe ţesătură sau pe bătătură sau pe vreun lucru din piele, înseamnă că se întinde; să ardeţi în foc lucrul pe care este pata.

and if it still be seen in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any vessel of skin, it a fretting; with fire thou dost burn it -- that in which the plague.

58 D ar haina, ţesătura, bătătura sau orice altceva din piele, de pe care rana dispare atunci când o spălaţi, va trebui să fie spălată încă o dată şi apoi va fi curată.

`And the garment, or the warp, or the woof, or any vessel of skin which thou dost wash when the plague hath turned aside from them, then it hath been washed a second time, and hath been clean.

59 A ceasta este legea pentru pata de lepră de pe o haină de lână sau in, de pe ţesătură, de pe bătătură sau de pe vreun lucru din piele, pentru a hotărî dacă sunt curate sau necurate.“

`This the law of a plague of leprosy a garment of wool or of linen, or of the warp or of the woof, or of any vessel of skin, to pronounce it clean or to pronounce it unclean.'
