1 D omnul le-a zis lui Moise şi lui Aaron:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying unto them,

2 „ Spuneţi-le israeliţilor: «Dintre toate animalele ţării, acestea sunt cele pe care puteţi să le mâncaţi:

`Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, This the beast which ye do eat out of all the beasts which on the earth:

3 s ă mâncaţi din orice animal care rumegă şi are copita sau unghia despicată, adică despărţită în două.

any dividing a hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoofs, bringing up the cud, among the beasts, it ye do eat.

4 D ar dintre cele care doar rumegă sau au doar copita despicată să nu mâncaţi următoarele: cămila (deşi rumegă, nu are copita despicată; s-o consideraţi necurată),

`Only, this ye do not eat -- of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the hoof -- the camel, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof not dividing -- it unclean to you;

5 v iezurele (deşi rumegă, nu are unghia despicată; să-l consideraţi necurat),

and the rabbit, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof it divideth not -- unclean it to you;

6 i epurele sălbatic (deşi rumegă, nu are unghia despicată; să-l consideraţi necurat)

and the hare, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof hath not divided -- unclean it to you;

7 ş i porcul (deşi are copita despicată, nu rumegă; să-l consideraţi necurat).

and the sow, though it is dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoof, yet the cud it bringeth not up -- unclean it to you.

8 S ă nu mâncaţi din carnea lor şi să nu vă atingeţi de hoiturile lor, ci să le consideraţi necurate.

`Of their flesh ye do not eat, and against their carcase ye do not come -- unclean they to you.

9 D intre cele care sunt în apă veţi putea mânca din următoarele: să mâncaţi din tot ce trăieşte în apă – fie în mări, fie în râuri – cu condiţia să aibă aripioare şi solzi.

`This ye do eat of all which in the waters; any one that hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the brooks, them ye do eat;

10 T ot ce trăieşte în mări sau în râuri, tot ce se mişcă în apă sau orice făptură care este în apă, dar nu are aripioare şi solzi, să fie considerate necurate.

and any one that hath not fins and scales in the seas, and in the brooks, of any teeming creature of the waters, and of any creature which liveth, which in the waters -- an abomination they to you;

11 S ă le consideraţi necurate; să nu le mâncaţi carnea şi să le consideraţi hoiturile ca fiind necurate.

yea, an abomination they are to you; of their flesh ye do not eat, and their carcase ye abominate.

12 S ă consideraţi o urâciune orice trăieşte în apă şi nu are aripioare şi solzi.

`Any one that hath not fins and scales in the waters -- an abomination it to you.

13 D intre păsări să le consideraţi necurate, adică să nu le consumaţi ca hrană pentru că sunt o urâciune, pe următoarele: vulturul, vulturul pleşuv, acvila,

`And these ye do abominate of the fowl; they are not eaten, an abomination they: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

14 g aia roşie, şorecarul şi toate speciile lui,

and the vulture, and the kite after its kind,

15 c orbul şi toate speciile lui,

every raven after its kind,

16 s truţul, striga, pescăruşul, şoimul şi toate speciile lui,

and the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after its kind,

17 c ucuveaua, cormoranul, bufniţa,

and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

18 c iuful de pădure, ciuşul, uliganul pescar,

and the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,

19 b arza, bâtlanul şi toate speciile lui, pupăza şi liliacul.

and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

20 D e asemenea, să consideraţi o urâciune orice insectă care zboară şi umblă pe patru picioare.

`Every teeming creature which is flying, which is going on four -- an abomination it to you.

21 D intre creaturile care zboară şi umblă pe patru picioare, le veţi putea mânca pe acelea care au fluierul picioarelor din spate mai mare, ca să poată sări pe pământ.

`Only -- this ye do eat of any teeming thing which is flying, which is going on four, which hath legs above its feet, to move with them on the earth;

22 A stfel, veţi putea mânca: lăcusta Arbe, lăcusta Solam, lăcusta Hargol şi lăcusta Hagab, după speciile lor.

these of them ye do eat: the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the beetle after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind;

23 Î nsă toate celelalte insecte înaripate care au patru picioare, să le consideraţi o urâciune.

and every teeming thing which is flying, which hath four feet -- an abomination it to you.

24 E le vă vor face necuraţi; oricine se va atinge de hoiturile lor va fi necurat până seara

`And by these ye are made unclean, any one who is coming against their carcase is unclean till the evening;

25 ş i oricine va căra părţi ale hoiturilor lor, va trebui să-şi spele hainele şi va fi necurat până seara.

and anyone who is lifting up of their carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening: --

26 O rice animal care are unghia despicată, dar nu are copita despărţită sau nu rumegă, să-l consideraţi necurat; oricine îl va atinge va fi necurat.

even every beast which is dividing the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, and the cud is not bringing up -- unclean they to you; any one who is coming against them is unclean.

27 S ă consideraţi necurate animalele cu patru picioare care umblă pe labele lor; oricine se va atinge de hoiturile lor va fi necurat până seara,

`And any one going on its paws, among all the beasts which are going on four -- unclean they to you; any one who is coming against their carcase is unclean until the evening;

28 i ar cine le va căra hoiturile va trebui să-şi spele hainele şi va fi necurat până seara. Să le consideraţi necurate.

and he who is lifting up their carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean until the evening -- unclean they to you.

29 D intre creaturile care mişună pe pământ, iată care sunt acelea pe care să le consideraţi necurate: nevăstuica, şoarecele, şopârla mare după speciile ei,

`And this to you the unclean among the teeming things which are teeming on the earth: the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after its kind,

30 ş opârla cenuşie, şopârla ocelată, şopârla de ziduri, şopârla de nisip şi cameleonul.

and the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole;

31 D intre toate creaturile care mişună, pe acestea să le consideraţi necurate; oricine le va atinge când sunt moarte va fi necurat până seara.

these the unclean to you among all which are teeming; any one who is coming against them in their death is unclean till the evening.

32 O rice lucru peste care va cădea vreuna din ele, când sunt moarte, va fi considerat necurat, fie vreun lucru din lemn, fie o haină sau piele sau sac, orice lucru întrebuinţat la ceva; acesta să fie pus în apă, căci va fi considerat necurat până seara; apoi va fi curat.

`And anything on which any one of them falleth, in their death, is unclean, of any vessel of wood or garment or skin or sack, any vessel in which work is done is brought into water, and hath been unclean till the evening, then it hath been clean;

33 D acă vreuna din ele va cădea într-un vas de pământ, tot ce este în el să fie considerat necurat, iar vasul să fie spart.

and any earthen vessel, into the midst of which one of them falleth, all that in its midst is unclean, and it ye do break.

34 O rice lucru bun de mâncat peste care a căzut apă dintr-un astfel de vas să fie considerat necurat şi orice băutură care se află într-un astfel de vas să fie considerată necurată.

`Of all the food which is eaten, that on which cometh water, is unclean, and all drink which is drunk in any vessel is unclean;

35 O rice lucru peste care va cădea ceva din hoitul vreunei astfel de creaturi, să fie considerat necurat. Dacă este vorba despre un cuptor sau o vatră, acestea să fie dărâmate; ele vor fi necurate şi va trebui să le consideraţi necurate.

and anything on which of their carcase falleth is unclean (oven or double pots), it is broken down, unclean they, yea, unclean they are to you.

36 N umai izvoarele sau fântânile în care este apă din belşug, vor rămâne curate; însă cine se va atinge de hoiturile lor să fie considerat necurat.

`Only -- a fountain or pit, a collection of water, is clean, but that which is coming against their carcase is unclean;

37 D acă va cădea ceva din hoiturile lor pe sămânţa folosită la semănat, aceasta va rămâne curată,

and when of their carcase falleth on any sown seed which is sown -- it clean;

38 î nsă dacă se pusese apă pe sămânţă, va trebui considerată necurată.

and when water is put on the seed, and of its carcase hath fallen on it -- unclean it to you.

39 D acă moare vreunul din animalele pe care le puteţi mânca şi cineva se atinge de hoitul acestuia, el va fi necurat până seara.

`And when any of the beasts which are to you for food dieth, he who is coming against its carcase is unclean till the evening;

40 C ine va mânca din hoitul lui să-şi spele hainele şi va fi necurat până seara; cei care îi vor căra hoitul vor trebui să-şi spele hainele şi vor fi necuraţi până seara.

and he who is eating of its carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening; and he who is lifting up its carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening.

41 T oate creaturile care mişună pe pământ sunt o urâciune; să nu fie mâncate.

`And every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth is an abomination, it is not eaten;

42 D in orice creatură care se târăşte pe pântece sau umblă pe patru picioare sau are mai multe picioare, din toate aceste creaturi care mişună pe pământ, să nu mâncaţi, ci să le consideraţi o urâciune.

any thing going on the belly, and any going on four, unto every multiplier of feet, to every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth -- ye do not eat them, for they an abomination;

43 S ă nu deveniţi voi înşivă o urâciune, mâncând vreuna din aceste creaturi care mişună; să nu vă pângăriţi şi să nu vă spurcaţi cu ele.

ye do not make yourselves abominable with any teeming thing which is teeming, nor do ye make yourselves unclean with them, so that ye have been unclean thereby.

44 E u sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru! Sfinţiţi-vă şi fiţi sfinţi, căci Eu sunt sfânt. Să nu vă pângăriţi cu vreo creatură care mişună pe pământ,

`For I Jehovah your God, and ye have sanctified yourselves, and ye have been holy, for I holy; and ye do not defile your persons with any teeming thing which is creeping on the earth;

45 c ăci Eu sunt Domnul Care v-am scos din ţara Egiptului ca să fiu Dumnezeul vostru. Deci fiţi sfinţi, după cum Eu sunt sfânt!»

for I Jehovah who am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt to become your God; and ye have been holy, for I holy.

46 A ceasta este legea cu privire la animalele, păsările, făpturile care trăiesc în ape şi la creaturile care mişună pe pământ,

`This a law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature which is moving in the waters, and of every creature which is teeming on the earth,

47 c a să puteţi face deosebire între ce este curat şi ce este necurat, între animalele care pot fi mâncate şi animalele care nu pot fi mâncate.“

to make separation between the unclean and the pure, and between the beast that is eaten, and the beast that is not eaten.'
