1 D avid a zis atunci: „Aici să fie Casa Domnului Dumnezeu şi aici să fie altarul pentru arderile de tot ale lui Israel.“ Pregătiri pentru construirea Casei Domnului

And David saith, `This is the house of Jehovah God, and this the altar for burnt-offering for Israel.'

2 A poi David a poruncit să fie strânşi străinii din ţara lui Israel şi a numit dintre ei cioplitori care să pregătească pietre cioplite pentru zidirea Casei lui Dumnezeu.

And David saith to gather the sojourners who in the land of Israel, and appointeth hewers to hew hewn-stones to build a house of God.

3 D avid a mai pregătit fier din belşug pentru cuiele necesare uşilor de la intrări şi pentru scoabe, precum şi bronz care era atât de mult, încât nu se putea cântări.

And iron in abundance for nails for leaves of the gates, and for couplings, hath David prepared, and brass in abundance -- there is no weighing.

4 D e asemenea, a pregătit şi lemne de cedru, foarte multe la număr, căci sidonienii şi tirienii îi aduseseră lui David lemn de cedru din belşug.

And cedar-trees even without number, for the Zidonians and the Tyrians brought in cedar-trees in abundance to David.

5 D avid zisese: „Solomon, fiul meu, este tânăr şi plăpând, iar Casa care va fi zidită Domnului trebuie să fie măreaţă, renumită şi de o mare splendoare în ochii tuturor neamurilor. Voi face pregătiri pentru zidirea ei.“ Astfel, David a făcut multe pregătiri înainte de moartea sa. Delegarea lui Solomon pentru construirea Casei Domnului

And David saith, `Solomon my son a youth and tender, and the house to be built to Jehovah to be made exceedingly great, for name and for beauty to all the lands; let me prepare, I pray Thee, for it;' and David prepareth in abundance before his death.

6 A poi l-a chemat pe fiul său Solomon şi i-a poruncit să zidească o Casă Domnului, Dumnezeul lui Israel.

And he calleth for Solomon his son, and chargeth him to build a house to Jehovah, God of Israel,

7 D avid i-a zis lui Solomon: „Fiul meu, aveam de gând să zidesc o Casă pentru Numele Domnului, Dumnezeul meu.

and David saith to Solomon his son, `As for me, it hath been with my heart to build a house to the name of Jehovah my God,

8 D ar Cuvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis: «Tu ai vărsat mult sânge şi ai purtat mari războaie. Nu tu vei zidi o Casă pentru Numele Meu căci ai vărsat mult sânge pe pământ, înaintea Mea.

and the word of Jehovah against me, saying, Blood in abundance thou hast shed, and great wars thou hast made: thou dost not build a house to My name, for much blood thou hast shed to the earth before Me.

9 I ată însă că ţi se va naşte un fiu care va fi un om al odihnei, iar Eu îi voi da odihnă din partea tuturor duşmanilor săi de jur împrejur. Numele lui va fi Solomon şi în timpul zilelor lui îi voi da lui Israel pace şi linişte.

`Lo, a son is born to thee; he is a man of rest, and I have given rest to him from all his enemies round about, for Solomon is his name, and peace and quietness I give unto Israel in his days;

10 E l va zidi o Casă Numelui Meu; el Îmi va fi fiu, iar Eu îi voi fi Tată. Voi întări pe vecie tronul domniei lui peste Israel.»

he doth build a house to My name, and he is to Me for a son, and I to him for a father, and I have established the throne of his kingdom over Israel unto the age.

11 Ş i acum, fiul meu, Domnul să fie cu tine, ca să reuşeşti să zideşti o Casă Domnului, Dumnezeul tău, aşa cum a vorbit El cu privire la tine.

`Now, my son, Jehovah is with thee, and thou hast prospered, and hast built the house of Jehovah thy God, as He spake concerning thee.

12 D omnul să-ţi dea chibzuinţă şi discernământ, ca astfel, atunci când El te va pune să domneşti peste Israel, să păzeşti Legea Domnului, Dumnezeul tău.

Only, Jehovah give to thee wisdom and understanding, and charge thee concerning Israel, even to keep the law of Jehovah thy God;

13 V ei reuşi dacă vei împlini poruncile şi hotărârile pe care Domnul le-a dat lui Moise pentru tot Israelul. Fii tare şi curajos! Să nu te temi şi să nu te înspăimânţi!

then thou dost prosper, if thou dost observe to do the statutes and the judgments that Jehovah charged Moses with concerning Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.

14 I ată că, prin truda mea, am pregătit pentru Casa Domnului o sută de mii de talanţi de aur, un milion de talanţi de argint, precum şi bronz şi fier care nu se poate cântări căci este foarte mult; am pregătit, de asemenea, lemne şi pietre. La acestea tu trebuie să mai adaugi.

`And lo, in mine affliction, I have prepared for the house of Jehovah of gold talents a hundred thousand, and of silver a thousand thousand talents; and of brass and of iron there is no weighing, for in abundance it hath been, and wood and stones I have prepared, and to them thou dost add.

15 A i cu tine mulţi lucrători: tăietori şi cioplitori în piatră şi în lemn şi tot felul de meseriaşi iscusiţi.

`And with thee in abundance workmen, hewers and artificers of stone and of wood, and every skilful man for every work.

16 A ur, argint, bronz şi fier este din belşug, deci începe să lucrezi! Domnul să fie cu tine.“ Delegarea căpeteniilor pentru construirea Casei Domnului

To the gold, to the silver, and to the brass, and to the iron, there is no number; arise and do, and Jehovah is with thee.'

17 D avid a poruncit tuturor căpeteniilor lui Israel să-l ajute pe fiul său Solomon.

And David giveth charge to all heads of Israel to give help to Solomon his son,

18 „ Nu este oare Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, cu voi? Nu v-a dat odihnă de jur împrejur, din moment ce a dat în mâna mea pe locuitorii ţării? Nu este ţara supusă înaintea Domnului şi înaintea poporului Său?

`Is not Jehovah your God with you? yea, He hath given rest to you round about, for He hath given into my hand the inhabitants of the land, and subdued hath been the land before His people.

19 A cum, lăsaţi-vă inima şi sufletul să-L caute pe Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru. Începeţi să zidiţi Lăcaşul Domnului Dumnezeu, ca să poată fi adus Chivotul Legământului cu Domnul şi uneltele cele sfinte ale lui Dumnezeu în Casa zidită pentru Numele Domnului.“

`Now, give your heart and your soul to seek to Jehovah your God, and rise and build the sanctuary of Jehovah God, to bring in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the holy vessels of God, to the house that is built to the name of Jehovah.'
