And the heads of the people dwell in Jerusalem, and the rest of the people have caused to fall lots to bring in one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the cities,

2 P oporul i-a binecuvântat pe toţi bărbaţii care au ales de bunăvoie să locuiască la Ierusalim.

and the people give a blessing to all the men who are offering themselves willingly to dwell in Jerusalem.

3 I ată care au fost căpeteniile de provincie care s-au stabilit la Ierusalim (în cetăţile lui Iuda, fiecare om s-a stabilit în cetatea unde îşi avea moştenirea, atât israeliţi, cât şi preoţi, leviţi, slujitorii de la Templu şi urmaşi ai slujitorilor lui Solomon,

And these heads of the province who have dwelt in Jerusalem, and in cities of Judah, they have dwelt each in his possession in their cities; Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the sons of the servants of Solomon.

And these sons of Benjamin: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jesaiah;

and after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.

20 C eilalţi israeliţi, preoţi şi leviţi, s-au aşezat în toate cetăţile lui Iuda, fiecare în moştenirea lui.

And the rest of Israel, of the priests, of the Levites, in all cities of Judah, each in his inheritance;

21 S lujitorii de la Templu locuiau în Ofel. Ţiha şi Ghişpa erau liderii slujitorilor de la Templu.

and the Nethinim are dwelling in Ophel, and Ziha and Gishpa over the Nethinim.

22 S upraveghetorul leviţilor în Ierusalim era Uzi, fiul lui Bani, fiul lui Haşabia, fiul lui Matania, fiul lui Mica. Aceştia făceau parte dintre urmaşii lui Asaf, cântăreţii. Ei erau responsabili cu lucrarea de la Templu,

And the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Micha: of the sons of Asaph, the singers over-against the work of the house of God,

And at the villages with their fields, of the sons of Judah there have dwelt, in Kirjath-Arba and its small towns, and in Dibon and its small towns, and in Jekabzeel and its villages,

and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth-Phelet,

32 î n Anatot, în Nob, în Anania,

Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

33 î n Haţor, în Rama, în Ghitaim,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

34 î n Hadid, în Ţeboim, în Nebalat,

Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

35 î n Lod, în Ono şi în valea Haraşim.
