1 N u, mâna Domnului nu este prea scurtă să mântuiască, nici urechea Lui prea surdă ca să audă,

Lo, the hand of Jehovah Hath not been shortened from saving, Nor heavy his ear from hearing.

2 c i nedreptăţile voastre v-au separat de Dumnezeul vostru şi păcatele voastre I-au ascuns faţa de voi, astfel că nu vă aude.

But your iniquities have been separating Between you and your God, And your sins have hidden The Presence from you -- from hearing.

3 C ăci mâinile vă sunt mânjite cu sânge şi degetele cu nedreptate; buzele voastre spun minciuni iar limba voastră murmură nelegiuiri.

For your hands have been polluted with blood, And your fingers with iniquity, Your lips have spoken falsehood, Your tongue perverseness doth mutter.

4 N imeni nu cheamă la dreptate, nici unul nu-şi susţine cauza cu sinceritate, ci se bazează pe vorbe goale şi spun minciuni, zămislesc necaz şi dau naştere la rău.

There is none calling in righteousness, And there is none pleading in faithfulness, Trusting on emptiness, and speaking falsehood, Conceiving perverseness, and bearing iniquity.

5 C locesc ouă de vipere şi ţes pânză de păianjen. Oricine le mănâncă ouăle moare, iar dacă vreunul este spart, iese o viperă.

Eggs of a viper they have hatched, And webs of a spider they weave, Whoso is eating their eggs doth die, And the crushed hatcheth a viper.

6 P ânzele lor nu pot sluji ca îmbrăcăminte şi ei nu se pot acoperi cu ceea ce au făcut. Faptele lor sunt nişte fapte nedrepte şi numai acte de violenţă se află în mâinile lor.

Their webs become not a garment, Nor do they cover themselves with their works, Their works works of iniquity, And a deed of violence in their hands.

7 P icioarele lor aleargă spre rău şi se grăbesc să verse sânge nevinovat; gândurile lor sunt gânduri de răutate, iar pe căile lor se află prăpădul şi nenorocirea.

Their feet to evil do run, And they haste to shed innocent blood, Their thoughts thoughts of iniquity, Spoiling and destruction in their highways.

8 E i nu cunosc calea păcii şi dreptatea nu se află pe potecile lor. Au strâmbat cărările pe care păşesc, astfel că nimeni care umblă pe ele nu cunoaşte pacea.

A way of peace they have not known, And there is no judgment in their paths, Their paths they have made perverse for themselves, No treader in it hath known peace.

9 D e aceea judecata dreaptă se află departe de noi şi dreptatea nu ajunge până la noi. Căutăm lumina, dar nu este decât întuneric; căutăm strălucirea, dar umblăm în beznă.

Therefore hath judgment been far from us, And righteousness reacheth us not, We wait for light, and lo, darkness, For brightness -- in thick darkness we go,

10 B âjbâim ca nişte orbi de-a lungul unui zid, bâjbâim ca nişte oameni fără vedere; ne împiedicăm la amiază ca pe-nserate şi între cei puternici suntem ca nişte morţi.

We feel like the blind the wall, Yea, as without eyes we feel, We have stumbled at noon as at twilight, In desolate places as the dead.

11 M ormăim cu toţii ca nişte urşi şi ne jelim trişti ca nişte porumbei. Căutăm dreptatea, dar aceasta nu există, căutăm mântuirea, dar aceasta este departe de noi.

We make a noise as bears -- all of us, And as doves we coo sorely; We wait for judgment, and there is none, For salvation -- it hath been far from us.

12 C ăci răzvrătirile noastre sunt multe înaintea Ta şi păcatele noastre mărturisesc împotriva noastră. Ne purtăm răzvrătirile cu noi şi ne cunoaştem nelegiuirile:

For our transgressions have been multiplied before Thee, And our sins have testified against us, For our transgressions with us, And our iniquities -- we have known them.

13 r ăzvrătire şi înşelăciune împotriva Domnului, spatele întors către Dumnezeul nostru, instigare la asuprire şi revoltă, plănuire de cuvinte mincinoase şi rostirea lor din inimă.

Transgressing, and lying against Jehovah, And removing from after our God, Speaking oppression and apostacy, Conceiving and uttering from the heart Words of falsehood.

14 A stfel, justiţia este îndepărtată şi dreptatea stă la distanţă, căci adevărul se împiedică în piaţă şi onestitatea nu poate intra.

And removed backward is judgment, And righteousness afar off standeth, For truth hath been feeble in the street, And straightforwardness is not able to enter,

15 A devărul nu este de găsit şi oricine se abţine de la rău devine o victimă. Domnul a văzut şi nu I-a plăcut că nu mai era dreptate.

And the truth is lacking, And whoso is turning aside from evil, Is making himself a spoil. And Jehovah seeth, and it is evil in His eyes, That there is no judgment.

16 E l a văzut că nu era nimeni, a fost uimit că nu era nimeni care să intervină, aşa că braţul Său I-a adus mântuire şi dreptatea Sa L-a sprijinit.

And He seeth that there is no man, And is astonished that there is no intercessor, And His own arm giveth salvation to Him, And His righteousness -- it sustained Him.

17 S -a îmbrăcat cu dreptatea precum cu o platoşă şi Şi-a pus pe cap coiful mântuirii; s-a îmbrăcat cu hainele răzbunării şi s-a înfăşurat cu râvna precum cu o mantie.

And He putteth on righteousness as a breastplate, And an helmet of salvation on His head, And He putteth on garments of vengeance clothing, And is covered, as an upper-robe, zeal.

18 V a răsplăti fiecăruia după faptele lui: duşmanilor Săi le va da mânie şi vrăjmaşilor Săi – răsplata cuvenită. Le va da ţinuturilor de lângă mare răsplata cuvenită.

According to deeds -- so He repayeth. Fury to His adversaries, deed to His enemies, To the isles deed He repayeth.

19 A şa că, cei din apus se vor teme de Numele Domnului şi cei de la răsăritul soarelui vor avea teamă de slava Lui, căci El va veni ca un râu vijelios, condus de Duhul Domnului.

And they fear from the west the name of Jehovah, And from the rising of the sun -- His honour, When come in as a flood doth an adversary, The Spirit of Jehovah hath raised an ensign against him.

20 « Răscumpărătorul va veni în Sion, la cei din Iacov, care se întorc de la nelegiuire, zice Domnul.

And come to Zion hath a redeemer, Even to captives of transgression in Jacob, An affirmation of Jehovah.

21 C ât despre Mine, acesta este legământul Meu cu ei, zice Domnul: Duhul Meu, Care este peste tine şi cuvintele Mele, pe care le-am pus în gura ta, nu se vor mai îndepărta din gura ta, din gura copiilor tăi sau din gura urmaşilor copiilor tăi, zice Domnul, de acum şi pentru totdeauna.»

And I -- this My covenant with them, said Jehovah, My Spirit that on thee, And My words that I have put in thy mouth, Depart not from thy mouth, And from the mouth of thy seed, And from the mouth of thy seed's seed, said Jehovah, From henceforth unto the age!
