1 D upă aceea, am văzut patru îngeri care stăteau la cele patru colţuri ale pământului, ţinând cele patru vânturi ale pământului, pentru ca nici un vânt să nu mai sufle pe pământ, pe mare sau peste vreun copac.

And after these things I saw four messengers, standing upon the four corners of the land, holding the four winds of the land, that the wind may not blow upon the land, nor upon the sea, nor upon any tree;

2 A m văzut un alt înger care urca de la răsăritul soarelui şi care avea sigiliul Dumnezeului celui Viu. El a strigat cu glas puternic spre cei patru îngeri cărora le fusese dat să facă rău pământului şi mării,

and I saw another messenger going up from the rising of the sun, having a seal of the living God, and he did cry with a great voice to the four messengers, to whom it was given to injure the land and the sea, saying,

3 z icând: „Nu faceţi rău nici pământului, nici mării, nici copacilor până nu vom pune sigiliul pe fruntea robilor Dumnezeului nostru!“

`Do not injure the land, nor the sea, nor the trees, till we may seal the servants of our God upon their foreheads.'

4 Ş i am auzit numărul celor ce fuseseră pecetluiţi: fuseseră pecetluiţi o sută patruzeci şi patru de mii din toate seminţiile fiilor lui Israel:

And I heard the number of those sealed, (144 thousands were sealed out of all the tribes of the sons of Israel):

5 d in seminţia lui Iuda au fost pecetluiţi douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Ruben – douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Gad – douăsprezece mii;

of the tribe of Judah 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad 12 thousand were sealed;

6 d in seminţia lui Aşer – douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Neftali – douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Manase – douăsprezece mii;

of the tribe of Asher 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Naphtali 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manasseh 12 thousand were sealed;

7 d in seminţia lui Simeon – douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Levi – douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Isahar – douăsprezece mii;

of the tribe of Simeon 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar 12 thousand were sealed;

8 d in seminţia lui Zabulon – douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Iosif – douăsprezece mii; din seminţia lui Beniamin – douăsprezece mii au fost pecetluiţi. Marea mulţime în robe albe

of the tribe of Zebulun 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph 12 thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Benjamin 12 thousand were sealed.

9 D upă toate acestea, m-am uitat şi iată că era o mare mulţime, pe care nimeni n-o putea număra, din toate neamurile, seminţiile, popoarele şi limbile. Stăteau înaintea tronului şi înaintea Mielului, erau îmbrăcaţi în robe albe şi aveau ramuri de palmier în mâini.

After these things I saw, and lo, a great multitude, which to number no one was able, out of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands,

10 E i strigau cu glas tare: „Mântuirea este a Dumnezeului nostru, Care şade pe tron, şi a Mielului!“

and crying with a great voice, saying, `The salvation to Him who is sitting upon the throne -- to our God, and to the Lamb!'

11 T oţi îngerii stăteau de jur împrejurul tronului, al bătrânilor şi al celor patru fiinţe vii. Ei au căzut cu feţele la pământ înaintea tronului şi I s-au închinat lui Dumnezeu,

And all the messengers stood around the throne, and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell upon their face, and bowed before God,

12 s punând: „Amin! Lauda şi slava, înţelepciunea şi mulţumirea, onoarea, puterea şi tăria să fie ale Dumnezeului nostru în vecii vecilor! Amin.“

saying, `Amen! the blessing, and the glory, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the honour, and the power, and the strength, to our God -- to the ages of the ages! Amen!'

13 U nul dintre bătrâni m-a întrebat: – Cine sunt aceştia îmbrăcaţi în robe albe şi de unde au venit?

And answer did one of the elders, saying to me, `These, who have been arrayed with the white robes -- who are they, and whence came they?'

14 I -am răspuns: – Domnule, tu ştii! El mi-a zis: – Aceştia sunt cei care vin din necazul cel mare; ei şi-au spălat hainele şi le-au albit în sângele Mielului.

and I have said to him, `Sir, thou hast known;' and he said to me, `These are those who are coming out of the great tribulation, and they did wash their robes, and they made their robes white in the blood of the Lamb;

15 D e aceea sunt ei înaintea tronului lui Dumnezeu şi I se închină zi şi noapte, în Templul Lui; iar Cel Ce şade pe tron Îşi va întinde cortul peste ei.

because of this are they before the throne of God, and they do service to Him day and night in His sanctuary, and He who is sitting upon the throne shall tabernacle over them;

16 N u le va mai fi nici foame, nici sete şi nu va mai cădea peste ei arşiţa soarelui, nici vreo altă căldură arzătoare,

they shall not hunger any more, nor may the sun fall upon them, nor any heat,

17 p entru că Mielul din mijlocul tronului îi va păstori şi îi va conduce la izvoarele apelor vieţii, iar Dumnezeu va şterge orice lacrimă din ochii lor.

because the Lamb that in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters, and wipe away shall God every tear from their eyes.'
