1 D omnul i-a zis lui Moise:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 „ Spune-i lui Aaron: «Când vei aşeza candelele, cele şapte candele vor trebui să lumineze în partea din faţă a sfeşnicului.»“

`Speak unto Aaron, and thou hast said unto him, In thy causing the lights to go up, over-against the face of the candlestick do the seven lights give light.'

3 A aron a făcut întocmai; a aşezat candelele în partea din faţă a sfeşnicului, aşa cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise.

And Aaron doth so; over-against the face of the candlestick he hath caused its lights to go up, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

4 S feşnicul era din aur bătut; de la picior până la petale era din aur bătut; Moise îl făcuse după modelul pe care i-l arătase Domnul. Sfinţirea şi slujirea leviţilor

And this the work of the candlestick: beaten work of gold; unto its thigh, unto its flower it beaten work; as the appearance which Jehovah shewed Moses, so he hath made the candlestick.

5 D omnul i-a zis lui Moise:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

6 „ Ia-i pe leviţi din mijlocul israeliţilor şi curăţeşte-i.

`Take the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and thou hast cleansed them.

7 I ată ce trebuie să faci ca să fie curaţi: tu să-i stropeşti cu apa ispăşirii, iar ei să-şi radă tot trupul cu briciul şi să-şi spele hainele; aşa se vor curăţi.

`And thus thou dost to them to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them waters of atonement, and they have caused a razor to pass over all their flesh, and have washed their garments, and cleansed themselves,

8 A poi să ia un taur şi darul de mâncare făcut din făină aleasă amestecată cu ulei, iar tu să iei un alt taur ca jertfă pentru păcat.

and have taken a bullock, a son of the herd, and its present, flour mixed with oil, -- and a second bullock a son of the herd thou dost take for a sin-offering,

9 S ă-i aduci pe leviţi înaintea Cortului Întâlnirii şi să convoci toată adunarea israeliţilor.

and thou hast brought near the Levites before the tent of meeting, and thou hast assembled the whole company of the sons of Israel,

10 C ând îi vei aduce pe leviţi înaintea Domnului, israeliţii vor trebui să-şi pună mâinile peste ei;

and thou hast brought near the Levites before Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have laid their hands on the Levites,

11 a poi Aaron îi va înfăţişa pe leviţi înaintea Domnului ca o jertfă legănată din partea israeliţilor, şi astfel ei vor putea să slujească Domnului.

and Aaron hath waved the Levites -- a wave-offering before Jehovah, from the sons of Israel, and they have been -- for doing the service of Jehovah.

12 L eviţii să-şi pună mâinile pe capetele taurilor, după care el să-i jertfească în cinstea Domnului, pe unul ca jertfă pentru păcat, iar pe celălalt ca ardere de tot şi să facă astfel ispăşire pentru leviţi.

`And the Levites lay their hands on the head of the bullocks, and make thou the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering to Jehovah, to atone for the Levites,

13 A poi să-i pui pe leviţi să stea înaintea lui Aaron şi a fiilor săi şi să-i aduci ca jertfă legănată înaintea Domnului.

and thou hast caused the Levites to stand before Aaron, and before his sons, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering to Jehovah;

14 A şa să-i separi pe leviţi de ceilalţi israeliţi şi leviţii vor fi ai Mei.

and thou hast separated the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and the Levites have become Mine;

15 D upă ce i-ai curăţit şi i-ai adus ca jertfă legănată, leviţii vor putea intra în Cortul Întâlnirii ca să slujească.

and afterwards do the Levites come in to serve the tent of meeting, and thou hast cleansed them, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering.

16 C ăci ei Îmi sunt daţi pe deplin din mijlocul israeliţilor; i-am luat pentru Mine în locul tuturor celor ce sunt primul rod al pântecelui, în locul întâilor născuţi ai israeliţilor.

`For they are certainly given to Me out of the midst of the sons of Israel, instead of him who openeth any womb -- the first-born of all -- from the sons of Israel I have taken them to Myself;

17 T oţi întâii născuţi ai israeliţilor sunt ai Mei, atât dintre oameni, cât şi dintre animale. Mie Mi i-am închinat în ziua în care i-am lovit pe toţi întâii născuţi din ţara Egiptului.

for Mine every first-born among the sons of Israel, among man and among beast; in the day of my smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself;

18 D e aceea i-am luat pe leviţi în locul tuturor întâilor născuţi ai israeliţilor.

and I take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel:

19 E u i-am dat în dar pe leviţi lui Aaron şi fiilor săi, ca să le slujească israeliţilor în Cortul Întâlnirii şi să facă ispăşire pentru israeliţi; astfel, israeliţii nu vor fi loviţi de nici o urgie când se vor apropia de Lăcaş.“

`And I give the Levites gifts to Aaron and to his sons, from the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the sons of Israel, and there is no plague among the sons of Israel in the sons of Israel's drawing nigh unto the sanctuary.'

20 M oise, Aaron şi întreaga adunare a israeliţilor au făcut întocmai cu leviţii; israeliţii au făcut aşa cum Domnul i-a poruncit lui Moise cu privire la ei.

And Moses doth -- Aaron also, and all the company of the sons of Israel -- to the Levites according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so have the sons of Israel done to them.

21 L eviţii s-au curăţit şi şi-au spălat hainele; apoi Aaron i-a adus ca jertfă legănată înaintea Domnului şi a făcut ispăşire pentru ei ca să-i curăţească.

And the Levites cleanse themselves, and wash their garments, and Aaron waveth them a wave-offering before Jehovah, and Aaron maketh atonement for them to cleanse them,

22 D upă aceea, leviţii au intrat să slujească în Cortul Întâlnirii înaintea lui Aaron şi a fiilor săi. Aşa cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise cu privire la leviţi, aşa au făcut cu ei.

and afterwards have the Levites gone in to do their service in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons; as Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they have done to them.

23 D omnul i-a zis lui Moise:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

24 „ Aceasta este o hotărâre în ceea ce-i priveşte pe leviţi: de la vârsta de douăzeci şi cinci de ani în sus, leviţii vor putea să înceapă să slujească la Cortul Întâlnirii;

`This that which the Levites': from a son of five and twenty years and upward he doth go in to serve the host in the service of the tent of meeting,

25 d ar la vârsta de cincizeci de ani ei trebuie să se retragă de la datoria slujirii şi să nu mai lucreze.

and from a son of fifty years he doth return from the host of the service, and doth not serve any more,

26 V or putea însă să-i ajute pe fraţii lor la Cortul Întâlnirii în împlinirea datoriilor lor, dar nu vor putea sluji. Aşa să faci cu leviţii în ce priveşte datoriile lor.“

and he hath ministered with his brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and doth not do service; thus thou dost to the Levites concerning their charge.'
