1 D e dragul Sionului nu voi tăcea, de dragul Ierusalimului nu voi rămâne tăcut, până când dreptatea lui nu va răsări ca zorile şi mântuirea lui nu va arde ca o torţă.

For Zion's sake I am not silent, And for Jerusalem's sake I do not rest, Till her righteousness go out as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that burneth.

2 N eamurile vor vedea dreptatea ta şi toţi împăraţii vor privi slava ta; ţi se va da un nume nou, unul pe care-l va hotărî gura Domnului.

And nations have seen thy righteousness, And all kings thine honour, And He is giving to thee a new name, That the mouth of Jehovah doth define.

3 V ei fi o coroană minunată în mâna Domnului şi o cunună regală în palma Dumnezeului tău.

And thou hast been a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, And a diadem of royalty in the hand of thy God,

4 N u te vor mai chema «Cea părăsită», iar ţara ta n-o vor mai numi «Pustie», ci te vor chema «Plăcerea Mea este în ea», iar ţara ta o vor numi «Măritată», pentru că Domnul Îşi va găsi plăcerea în tine, iar ţara ta va fi măritată.

It is not said of thee any more, `Forsaken!' And of thy land it is not said any more, `Desolate,' For to thee is cried, `My delight in her,' And to thy land, `Married,' For Jehovah hath delighted in thee, And thy land is married.

5 A şa cum un tânăr se căsătoreşte cu o fecioară, tot aşa fiii tăi se vor căsători cu tine; aşa cum un mire se bucură de mireasa lui, tot aşa se va bucura Dumnezeul tău de tine.

For a young man doth marry a virgin, Thy Builders do marry thee, With the joy of a bridegroom over a bride, Rejoice over thee doth thy God.

6 P e zidurile tale, Ierusalime, am pus străjeri. Ei nu vor tăcea niciodată, nici zi, nici noapte! Voi, care-I aduceţi aminte Domnului, nu vă odihniţi

`On thy walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen, All the day, and all the night, Continually, they are not silent.' O ye remembrancers of Jehovah, Keep not silence for yourselves,

7 ş i nu-I daţi pace până nu restaurează Ierusalimul şi până nu-l face o laudă pe pământ!

And give not silence to Him, Till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem A praise in the earth.

8 D omnul a jurat cu mâna Sa dreaptă, cu braţul Său puternic: «Nu voi mai da grânele tale drept hrană duşmanilor tăi, iar străinii nu vor mai bea vinul nou pentru care tu ai trudit,

Sworn hath Jehovah by His right hand, Even by the arm of His strength: `I give not thy corn any more food for thine enemies, Nor do sons of a stranger drink thy new wine, For which thou hast laboured.

9 c i cei ce adună grânele le vor şi mânca şi-L vor lăuda pe Domnul, iar cei ce adună strugurii vor bea vinul în curţile Sfântului Meu Lăcaş.»“

For, those gathering it do eat it, and have praised Jehovah, And those collecting it do drink it in My holy courts.'

10 „ Intraţi! Intraţi pe porţi! Pregătiţi calea pentru popor! Construiţi! Construiţi drumul larg! Îndepărtaţi pietrele! Ridicaţi un steag pentru popoare!

Pass ye on, pass on through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, Raise up, raise up the highway, clear it from stones, Lift up an ensign over the peoples.

11 I ată că Domnul a vestit până la capătul pământului: «Spuneţi fiicei Sionului: ‘Iată, Mântuitorul tău vine la tine! Iată, plata Lui este cu El şi răsplata Lui merge înaintea Lui!’»

Lo, Jehovah hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth: `Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo, thy salvation hath come,' Lo, his hire with him, and his wage before him.

12 E i vor fi numiţi: «Poporul sfânt», «Răscumpăraţi ai domnului », iar tu vei fi numită: «Cea căutată» «Cetatea care nu va mai fi părăsită».“

And they have cried to them, `People of the Holy One, Redeemed of Jehovah,' Yea, to thee is called, `Sought out one, a city not forsaken!'
