1 D omnul i-a vorbit lui Moise în pustia Sinai, în prima zi a celui de-al doilea an după ce au ieşit din ţara Egiptului:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in the wilderness of Sinai, in the second year of their going out of the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying,

2 „ Israeliţii să ţină Paştele la vremea hotărâtă.

`Also, the sons of Israel prepare the passover in its appointed season;

3 S ă-l ţină la vremea hotărâtă, în a paisprezecea zi a acestei luni, între cele două seri; să-l ţineţi potrivit cu toate hotărârile şi toate legile luate cu privire la el.“

in the fourteenth day of this month between the evenings ye prepare it in its appointed season; according to all its statutes, and according to all its ordinances ye prepare it.'

4 M oise le-a spus israeliţilor că trebuie să ţină Paştele.

And Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel to prepare the passover,

5 E i au ţinut Paştele în luna întâi, în a paisprezecea zi, între cele două seri, în pustia Sinai. Israeliţii au făcut aşa cum i-a poruncit Domnul lui Moise.

and they prepare the passover in the first, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses, so have the sons of Israel done.

6 A u existat însă nişte oameni care, fiind necuraţi din cauză că se atinseseră de un mort, n-au putut ţine Paştele în ziua aceea. Ei s-au înfăţişat înaintea lui Moise şi a lui Aaron în aceeaşi zi

And there are men who have been defiled by the body of a man, and they have not been able to prepare the passover on that day, and they come near before Moses, and before Aaron, on that day,

7 ş i i-au zis lui Moise: – Ştim că suntem necuraţi din cauză că ne-am atins de un mort, dar de ce trebuie să fim împiedicaţi să aducem jertfă Domnului la vremea hotărâtă împreună cu ceilalţi israeliţi?

and those men say unto him, `We are defiled by the body of a man; why are we withheld so as not to bring near the offering of Jehovah in its appointed season, in the midst of the sons of Israel?'

8 M oise le-a spus: – Aşteptaţi până voi afla ce va porunci Domnul cu privire la voi.

And Moses saith unto them, `Stand ye, and I hear what Jehovah hath commanded concerning you.'

9 D omnul i-a zis lui Moise:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

10 „ Spune-le israeliţilor: «Chiar dacă cineva dintre voi sau dintre urmaşii voştri va fi necurat din cauză că a atins un mort sau va fi departe în călătorie, va putea totuşi să ţină Paştele Domnului.

`Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, Though any man is unclean by a body or in a distant journey (of you or of your generations), yet he hath prepared a passover to Jehovah;

11 S ă-l ţină în luna a doua, în a paisprezecea zi, între cele două seri; să mănânce mielul de Paşte cu azime şi cu ierburi amare.

in the second month, on the fourteenth day, between the evenings they prepare it; with unleavened and bitter things they eat it;

12 S ă nu lase nimic din el până dimineaţa şi să nu-i zdrobească nici un os. Să ţină Paştele conform tuturor hotărârilor luate cu privire la el.

they do not leave of till morning; and a bone they do not break in it: according to all the statute of the passover they prepare it.

13 D ar dacă cineva este şi curat, şi nici nu este plecat în călătorie, dar se abţine să ţină Paştele, să fie nimicit din popor pentru că n-a adus jertfă Domnului la vremea hotărâtă; un astfel de om îşi va purta păcatul.

`And the man who is clean, and hath not been on a journey, and hath ceased to prepare the passover, even that person hath been cut off from his people; because the offering of Jehovah he hath not brought near, in its appointed season, that man doth bear his sin.

14 O rice străin care locuieşte între voi şi doreşte să sărbătorească Paştele Domnului, să facă acest lucru potrivit legii Paştelui, ţinând cont de hotărârile luate cu privire la el; să aveţi o singură lege atât pentru străin, cât şi pentru băştinaş.»“ Norul de deasupra Tabernaculului

`And when a sojourner sojourneth with you, then he hath prepared a passover to Jehovah, according to the statute of the passover, and according to its ordinance, so he doth; one statute is to you, even to a sojourner, and to a native of the land.'

15 Î n ziua când a fost înălţat Tabernaculul, norul a acoperit Tabernaculul, adică Cortul Mărturiei; de seara până dimineaţa norul era deasupra Tabernaculului, arătând ca un foc.

And in the day of the raising up of the tabernacle hath the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony; and in the evening there is on the tabernacle as an appearance of fire till morning;

16 A şa era tot timpul: ziua, norul acoperea Tabernaculul, iar noaptea arăta ca un foc.

so it is continually; the cloud covereth it, also the appearance of fire by night.

17 C ând norul se ridica de deasupra Cortului, israeliţii porneau din nou la drum şi, acolo unde se oprea norul, acolo îşi aşezau tabăra şi israeliţii.

And according to the going up of the cloud from off the tent and afterwards do the sons of Israel journey; and in the place where the cloud doth tabernacle, there do the sons of Israel encamp;

18 L a porunca Domnului israeliţii porneau şi la porunca Domnului israeliţii îşi aşezau tabăra. Ei rămâneau în tabără atâta timp cât norul stătea deasupra Tabernaculului.

by the command of Jehovah the sons of Israel journey, and by the command of Jehovah they encamp; all the days that the cloud doth tabernacle over the tabernacle they encamp.

19 C ând norul rămânea mai multe zile deasupra Tabernaculului, israeliţii păzeau porunca Domnului şi nu porneau.

And in the cloud prolonging itself over the tabernacle many days, then have the sons of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journey not,

20 U neori norul rămânea doar câteva zile deasupra Tabernaculului, astfel că ei rămâneau în tabără la porunca Domnului şi apoi, tot la porunca Domnului porneau.

and so when the cloud is a number of days over the tabernacle; by the command of Jehovah they encamp, and by the command of Jehovah they journey.

21 U neori norul rămânea de seara până dimineaţa, astfel că ei porneau dimineaţa, când norul se ridica. Dacă norul rămânea o zi şi o noapte, ei porneau atunci când se ridica.

And so when the cloud is from evening till morning, when the cloud hath gone up in the morning, then they have journeyed; whether by day or by night, when the cloud hath gone up, then they have journeyed.

22 D acă norul rămânea deasupra Tabernaculului două zile sau o lună sau mai multe zile, israeliţii rămâneau în tabără şi nu porneau; ei porneau doar atunci când acesta se ridica.

Whether two days, or a month, or days, in the cloud prolonging itself over the tabernacle, to tabernacle over it, the sons of Israel encamp, and journey not; and in its being lifted up they journey;

23 L a porunca Domnului îşi aşezau tabăra şi la porunca Domnului porneau. Ei păzeau porunca Domnului, porunca Domnului dată prin Moise.

by the command of Jehovah they encamp, and by the command of Jehovah they journey; the charge of Jehovah they have kept, by the command of Jehovah in the hand of Moses.
