4 L ui Elazar i s-a născut Fineas, iar lui Fineas – Abişua.

Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua,

5 L ui Abişua i s-a născut Buchi, iar lui Buchi – Uzi.

and Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,

6 L ui Uzi i s-a născut Zerahia, iar lui Zerahia – Meraiot.

and Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,

7 L ui Meraiot i s-a născut Amaria, iar lui Amaria – Ahitub.

Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

8 L ui Ahitub i s-a născut Ţadok, iar lui Ţadok – Ahimaaţ.

and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,

9 L ui Ahimaaţ i s-a născut Azaria, iar lui Azaria – Iohanan.

and Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,

10 L ui Iohanan i s-a născut Azaria, cel care a slujit ca preot în Casa zidită de Solomon la Ierusalim.

and Johanan begat Azariah, him who acted as priest in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem.

11 L ui Azaria i s-a născut Amaria, iar lui Amaria – Ahitub.

And Azariah begetteth Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

12 L ui Ahitub i s-a născut Ţadok, iar lui Ţadok – Şalum.

and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,

13 L ui Şalum i s-a născut Hilchia, iar lui Hilchia – Azaria.

and Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,

14 L ui Azaria i s-a născut Seraia, iar lui Seraia – Iehoţadak.

and Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak;

15 I ehoţadak a fost dus în captivitate, atunci când Domnul a dus în captivitate Iuda şi Ierusalimul prin Nebucadneţar. Urmaşii lui Levi

and Jehozadak hath gone in Jehovah's removing Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 D eci fiii lui Levi au fost: Gherşon, Chehat şi Merari.

Sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 N umele fiilor lui Gherşon au fost Libni şi Şimei.

And these names of sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.

18 F iii lui Chehat au fost: Amram, Iţhar, Hebron şi Uziel.

And sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 F iii lui Merari au fost Mahli şi Muşi. Acestea au fost clanurile lui Levi, potrivit strămoşilor lor. Fiii lui Gherşon

Sons of Merari; Mahli and Mushi. And these families of the Levite according to their fathers;

57 a u dat deci urmaşilor lui Aaron cetatea de refugiu a Hebronului, precum şi Libna cu păşunile din jur, Iatir, Eştemoa cu păşunile din jur,

And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge: Hebron, and Libnah and its suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,

58 H ilen cu păşunile din jur, Debir cu păşunile din jur,

and Hilen and its suburbs, Debir and its suburbs,

59 A şan cu păşunile din jur şi Bet-Şemeş cu păşunile din jur;

and Ashan and its suburbs, and Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs.

60 p e teritoriul seminţiei lui Beniamin li s-au dat Gheva cu păşunile din jur, Alemet cu păşunile din jur şi Anatot cu păşunile din jur. Toate cetăţile lor erau în număr de treisprezece şi au fost împărţite între clanurile lor. Proprietăţile leviţilor

And from the tribe of Benjamin, Geba and its suburbs, and Allemeth and its suburbs, and Anathoth and its suburbs. All their cities thirteen cities, for their families.

61 C hehatiţilor care au mai rămas li s-au dat, prin tragere la sorţi, zece cetăţi dintre cele ale clanurilor seminţiei, adică ale jumătăţii seminţiei lui Manase.

And to the sons of Kohath, those left of the family of the tribe, from the half of the tribe, the half of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.

62 C lanurilor gherşoniţilor li s-au dat treisprezece cetăţi pe teritoriul seminţiei lui Isahar, a lui Aşer, a lui Neftali şi a lui Manase, în Başan.

And to the sons of Gershom, for their families, from the tribe of Issachar, and from the tribe of Asher, and from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

63 C lanurilor merariţilor li s-au dat douăsprezece cetăţi pe teritoriul seminţiei lui Ruben, a lui Gad, a lui Dan şi a lui Zabulon.

To the sons of Merari, for their families, from the tribe of Reuben, and from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun, by lot, twelve cities.

64 Ş i astfel, israeliţii au dat leviţilor aceste cetăţi cu păşunile din jur.

And the sons of Israel give to the Levites the cities and their suburbs.

65 A ceste cetăţi, menţionate pe nume, le-au dat, prin sorţi, pe teritoriul seminţiei lui Iuda, al seminţiei lui Beniamin şi al seminţiei lui Simeon.

And they give by lot from the tribe of the sons of Judah, and from the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and from the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which they call by name;

66 D ar unele din clanurile chehatiţilor au mai primit cetăţi şi pe teritoriul seminţiei lui Efraim.

and some of the families of the sons of Kohath have cities of their border from the tribe of Ephraim;

67 L e-au dat, ca cetăţi de refugiu, următoarele: Şehem, cu păşunile din jur, în regiunea muntoasă a lui Efraim, Ghezer cu păşunile din jur,

and they give to them the cities of refuge, Shechem and its suburbs in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its suburbs,

68 I okmeam cu păşunile din jur, Bet-Horon cu păşunile din jur,

and Jokmeam and its suburbs, and Beth-Horan and its suburbs,

69 A ialon cu păşunile din jur şi Gat-Rimon cu păşunile din jur.

and Aijalon and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs;

70 P e teritoriul jumătăţii seminţiei lui Manase, clanurilor care au rămas din urmaşii lui Chehat le-au dat: Aner cu păşunile din jur şi Bilam cu păşunile din jur.

and from the half tribe of Manasseh, Aner and its suburbs, and Bileam and its suburbs, for the family of the sons of Kohath who are left.

71 G herşoniţilor le-au fost date, pe teritoriul clanurilor jumătăţii seminţiei lui Manase, următoarele: Golan, în Başan, cu păşunile din jur şi Aştarot cu păşunile din jur.

To the sons of Gershom from the family of the half of the tribe of Manasseh Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Ashtaroth and its suburbs;

72 P e teritoriul seminţiei lui Isahar le-au dat: Kedeş cu păşunile din jur, Dabrat cu păşunile din jur,

and from the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh and its suburbs, Daberath and its suburbs,

and Ramoth and its suburbs, and Anem and its suburbs;

To the sons of Merari who are left, from the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon and its suburbs, Tabor and its suburbs;

78 i ar de cealaltă parte a Iordanului, nu departe de Ierihon, la răsărit de Iordan, pe teritoriul seminţiei lui Ruben, le-au dat: Beţer, în pustie, cu locurile lui pentru păşune, Iahţa cu păşunile din jur,

and from beyond the Jordan by Jericho, at the east of the Jordan, from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness and its suburbs, and Jahzah and its suburbs,
