1 M âna Domnului a venit peste mine, m-a dus prin Duhul Domnului şi m-a lăsat jos în mijlocul unei văi. Valea era plină de oase.

There hath been upon me a hand of Jehovah, and He taketh me forth in the Spirit of Jehovah, and doth place me in the midst of the valley, and it is full of bones,

2 M -a pus să umblu peste ele încoace şi încolo şi iată că pe suprafaţa văii erau foarte multe oase, oase foarte uscate.

and He causeth me to pass over by them, all round about, and lo, very many on the face of the valley, and lo, very dry.

3 D omnul mi-a zis: – Fiul omului, vor putea oare aceste oase să prindă viaţă? Eu I-am răspuns: – Stăpâne Doamne, Tu ştii!

And He saith unto me, `Son of man, do these bones live?' And I say, `O Lord Jehovah, Thou -- Thou hast known.'

4 A tunci El mi-a zis: – Profeţeşte despre oasele acestea şi spune-le: „Oase uscate, ascultaţi Cuvântul Domnului!

And He saith unto me, `Prophesy concerning these bones, and thou hast said unto them: O dry bones, hear a word of Jehovah:

5 A şa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn cu privire la oasele acestea: «Iată, voi face să intre suflare în voi şi veţi prinde viaţă!

Thus said the Lord Jehovah to these bones: Lo, I am bringing into you a spirit, and ye have lived,

6 V ă voi da tendoane, voi face să crească carne pe voi şi vă voi acoperi cu piele; voi pune suflare în voi şi veţi prinde viaţă. Şi veţi şti atunci că Eu sunt Domnul!»“

and I have given on you sinews, and cause flesh to come up upon you, and covered you over with skin, and given in you a spirit, and ye have lived, and ye have known that I Jehovah.'

7 A m profeţit aşa cum mi se poruncise. În timp ce profeţeam, s-a auzit un zgomot ca un huruit. Şi iată că oasele s-au apropiat unele de celelalte!

And I have prophesied as I have been commanded, and there is a noise, as I am prophesying, and lo, a rushing, and draw near do the bones, bone unto its bone.

8 M -am uitat şi am văzut că aveau deja tendoane pe ele, carnea crescuse pe ele şi erau acoperite cu piele; dar încă nu era suflare în ele.

And I beheld, and lo, on them sinews, and flesh hath come up, and cover them doth skin over above -- and spirit there is none in them.

9 E l mi-a zis: – Profeţeşte suflării! Profeţeşte, fiul omului, şi spune-i suflării că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: „Vino, suflare, din cele patru vânturi şi suflă peste aceşti morţi ca să învie!“

And He saith unto me: `Prophesy unto the Spirit, prophesy, son of man, and thou hast said unto the Spirit: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: From the four winds come in, O Spirit, and breathe on these slain, and they do live.'

10 A m profeţit aşa cum îmi poruncise şi suflarea a intrat în ei. Ei au înviat şi s-au ridicat în picioare. Era o oştire foarte, foarte mare.

And I have prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit cometh into them, and they live, and stand on their feet -- a very very great force.

11 A poi El mi-a zis: – Fiul omului, oasele acestea sunt toţi cei din Casa lui Israel. Iată că ei zic: „Oasele ne sunt uscate şi nu mai avem nici o speranţă! Suntem pierduţi!“

And He saith unto me, `Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; lo, they are saying: Dried up have our bones, And perished hath our hope, We have been cut off by ourselves.

12 D e aceea profeţeşte şi spune-le că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: „Poporul Meu, Eu Însumi vă voi deschide mormintele, vă voi scoate din mormintele voastre şi vă voi aduce în ţara lui Israel.

Therefore, prophesy, and thou hast said unto them, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am opening your graves, And have brought you up out of your graves, O My people, And brought you in unto the land of Israel.

13 P oporul Meu, când vă voi deschide mormintele şi vă voi scoate din mormintele voastre, veţi şti că Eu sunt Domnul.

And ye have known that I Jehovah, In My opening your graves, And in My bringing you up out of your graves, O My people.

14 V oi pune în voi suflarea Mea şi veţi învia. Vă voi aşeza din nou în patria voastră şi veţi şti că Eu, Domnul, am vorbit şi am făcut întocmai, zice Domnul. “ Un singur popor sub un singur conducător

And I have given My Spirit in you, and ye have lived, And I have caused you to rest on your land, And ye have known that I Jehovah, I have spoken, and I have done, An affirmation of Jehovah.'

15 C uvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

16 „ Fiul omului, ia o bucată de lemn şi scrie pe ea: «Pentru Iuda şi pentru israeliţi, aliaţii săi». Ia apoi o altă bucată de lemn şi scrie pe ea: «Pentru Iosif, bucata de lemn a lui Efraim, şi pentru toţi cei din Casa lui Israel, care-i sunt aliaţi».

`And thou, son of man, take to thee one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for the sons of Israel, his companions; and take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and all the house of Israel, his companions,

17 D upă aceea apropie-le una de alta şi fă-le o singură bucată, astfel încât să fie ca una singură în mâna ta.

and bring them near one unto another, to thee, for one stick, and they have become one in thy hand.

18 C ând cei din poporul tău îţi vor zice: «Nu vrei să ne explici ce înseamnă toate acestea?»,

`And when sons of thy people speak unto thee, saying, Dost thou not declare to us what these to thee?

19 t u să le spui că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Iată, Eu Însumi voi lua bucata de lemn a lui Iosif, care este în mâna lui Efraim, şi bucăţile de lemn ale aliaţilor lui din Israel, le voi apropia de bucata de lemn a lui Iuda şi le voi face o singură bucată de lemn, astfel că vor fi una în mâna Mea.»

Speak unto them, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am taking the stick of Joseph, that in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions, and have given them unto him, with the stick of Judah, and have made them become one stick, and they have been one in My hand.

20 B ucăţile de lemn pe care ai scris să le ţii în mână înaintea ochilor lor

And the sticks on which thou writest have been in thy hand before thine eyes,

21 ş i să le spui că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Iată, Eu Însumi îi voi lua pe israeliţi din mijlocul neamurilor unde s-au dus, îi voi strânge din toate părţile şi-i voi aduce în patria lor.

and speak thou unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am taking the sons of Israel, From among the nations whither they have gone, And have gathered them from round about, And I have brought them in unto their land.

22 V oi face din ei un singur neam în ţara lor, pe munţii lui Israel; va fi un singur Împărat pentru toţi şi nu vor mai fi două neamuri, nici nu vor mai fi împărţiţi în două regate.

And I have made them become one nation in the land, on mountains of Israel, And one king is to them all for king, And they are no more as two nations, Nor are they divided any more into two kingdoms again.

23 N u se vor mai pângări cu idolii lor, cu urâciunile lor şi cu toate nelegiuirile lor. Îi voi mântui de toate abaterile prin care au păcătuit şi-i voi curăţi. Ei vor fi poporul Meu, iar Eu voi fi Dumnezeul lor.

Nor are they defiled any more with their idols, And with their abominations, And with any of their transgressions, And I have saved them out of all their dwellings, In which they have sinned, And I have cleansed them, And they have been to Me for a people, And I -- I am to them for God.

24 R obul meu, David, va fi Împărat peste ei şi va fi un singur Păstor pentru toţi. Ei vor urma legile Mele şi vor păzi şi împlini hotărârile Mele.

And My servant David king over them, And one shepherd have they all, And in My judgments they go, And My statutes they keep, and have done them.

25 V or locui în ţara pe care am dat-o robului Meu Iacov, ţara în care au locuit strămoşii lor. Ei vor locui în ţară împreună cu copiii lor şi cu copiii copiilor lor pe vecie, iar Robul Meu David le va fi Prinţ pe vecie.

And they have dwelt on the land that I gave to My servant, to Jacob, In which your fathers have dwelt, And they have dwelt on it, they and their sons, And their son's sons -- unto the age, And David My servant their prince -- to the age.

26 V oi încheia cu ei un legământ de pace; va fi un legământ veşnic cu ei. Îi voi aşeza iarăşi, îi voi înmulţi şi voi pune Lăcaşul Meu în mijlocul lor pe vecie.

And I have made to them a covenant of peace, A covenant age-during it is with them, And I have placed them, and multiplied them, And placed My sanctuary in their midst -- to the age.

27 T abernaculul Meu va fi între ei; Eu voi fi Dumnezeul lor, iar ei vor fi poporul Meu.

And My tabernacle hath been over them, And I have been to them for God, And they have been to Me for a people.

28 C ând Lăcaşul Meu va fi în mijlocul lor pe vecie, neamurile vor şti că Eu sunt Domnul, Cel Care-l sfinţesc pe Israel.»“

And known have the nations that I Jehovah am sanctifying Israel, In My sanctuary being in their midst -- to the age!'
