2 D aţi Domnului slava cuvenită Numelui Său! Închinaţi-vă Domnului cu podoabe sfinte!

Ascribe to Jehovah the honour of His name, Bow yourselves to Jehovah, In the beauty of holiness.

3 G lasul Domnului răsună deasupra apelor. Dumnezeul slavei face să bubuie tunetul; Domnul este deasupra apelor mari.

The voice of Jehovah on the waters, The God of glory hath thundered, Jehovah on many waters.

4 G lasul Domnului răsună cu putere, glasul Domnului răsună cu măreţie.

The voice of Jehovah with power, The voice of Jehovah with majesty,

5 G lasul Domnului doboară cedrii; Domnul doboară cedrii Libanului.

The voice of Jehovah shivering cedars, Yea, Jehovah shivers the cedars of Lebanon.

6 E l face Libanul să sară ca un viţel şi Sirionul – ca un pui de bivol sălbatic.

And He causeth them to skip as a calf, Lebanon and Sirion as a son of Reems,

7 G lasul Domnului despică cu scânteieri de foc.

The voice of Jehovah is hewing fiery flames,

8 G lasul Domnului face să tremure pustia, Domnul face să tremure pustia Kadeş.

The voice of Jehovah paineth a wilderness, Jehovah paineth the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 G lasul Domnului apleacă stejarii şi despoaie pădurile; în Templul Său toţi strigă: „Slavă!“

The voice of Jehovah paineth the oaks, And maketh bare the forests, And in His temple every one saith, `Glory.'

10 Î n timpul potopului Domnul era pe tron; Domnul va trona ca împărat pe vecie.

Jehovah on the deluge hath sat, And Jehovah sitteth king -- to the age,

11 D omnul dă tărie poporului Său. Domnul binecuvântează pe poporul Său cu pace.

Jehovah strength to his people giveth, Jehovah blesseth His people with peace!
