1 D upă ce a spus aceste lucruri, Isus Şi-a ridicat ochii spre cer şi a zis: „Tată, a venit ceasul! Proslăveşte-Ţi Fiul, pentru ca şi Fiul să Te proslăvească pe Tine,

These things spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to the heaven, and said -- `Father, the hour hath come, glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee,

2 d e vreme ce I-ai dat autoritate peste orice făptură, ca să le dea viaţă veşnică tuturor celor pe care I i-ai dat Tu.

according as Thou didst give to him authority over all flesh, that -- all that Thou hast given to him -- he may give to them life age-during;

3 Ş i viaţa veşnică este aceasta: să Te cunoască pe Tine, singurul Dumnezeu adevărat, şi pe Isus Cristos, pe Care L-ai trimis Tu.

and this is the life age-during, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and him whom Thou didst send -- Jesus Christ;

4 E u Te-am proslăvit pe pământ, terminând lucrarea pe care Mi-ai dat-o s-o fac.

I did glorify Thee on the earth, the work I did finish that Thou hast given me, that I may do.

5 A cum, proslăveşte-Mă Tu, Tată, în prezenţa Ta, cu slava pe care o aveam în prezenţa Ta înainte de a fi lumea! Isus se roagă Tatălui pentru ucenici

`And now, glorify me, Thou Father, with Thyself, with the glory that I had before the world was, with Thee;

6 L e-am făcut cunoscut Numele Tău oamenilor pe care Mi i-ai dat din lume. Erau ai Tăi şi Tu Mi i-ai dat, iar ei au păzit Cuvântul Tău.

I did manifest Thy name to the men whom Thou hast given to me out of the world; Thine they were, and to me Thou hast given them, and Thy word they have kept;

7 A cum au cunoscut că tot ce Mi-ai dat Tu este de la Tine.

now they have known that all things, as many as Thou hast given to me, are from Thee,

8 C ăci le-am dat cuvintele pe care Mi le-ai dat Tu, iar ei le-au primit şi au cunoscut că într-adevăr am ieşit de la Tine şi au crezut că Tu M-ai trimis.

because the sayings that Thou hast given to me, I have given to them, and they themselves received, and have known truly, that from Thee I came forth, and they did believe that Thou didst send me.

9 P entru ei mă rog; nu mă rog pentru lume, ci pentru cei pe care Mi i-ai dat Tu, pentru că sunt ai Tăi.

`I ask in regard to them; not in regard to the world do I ask, but in regard to those whom Thou hast given to me, because Thine they are,

10 T ot ce este al Meu este al Tău şi tot ce este al Tău este al Meu. Şi Eu am fost proslăvit în ei.

and all mine are Thine, and Thine mine, and I have been glorified in them;

11 E u nu mai sunt în lume, dar ei sunt în lume, iar Eu vin la Tine. Sfinte Tată, păzeşte-i, în Numele Tău, pe care Mi L-ai dat, pentru ca ei să fie una, aşa cum suntem Noi!

and no more am I in the world, and these are in the world, and I come unto Thee. Holy Father, keep them in Thy name, whom Thou hast given to me, that they may be one as we;

12 C ând eram cu ei, îi păzeam Eu în Numele Tău, pe care Mi L-ai dat. I-am păzit şi nici unul din ei n-a pierit, în afară de fiul pierzării, ca să se împlinească Scriptura.

when I was with them in the world, I was keeping them in Thy name; those whom Thou hast given to me I did guard, and none of them was destroyed, except the son of the destruction, that the Writing may be fulfilled.

13 A cum însă, Eu vin la Tine; şi spun aceste lucruri pe când sunt încă în lume pentru ca să aibă în ei bucuria mea deplină.

`And now unto Thee I come, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves;

14 E u le-am dat Cuvântul Tău şi lumea i-a urât, pentru că ei nu sunt din lume, la fel cum nici Eu nu sunt din lume.

I have given to them Thy word, and the world did hate them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world;

15 N u Te rog să-i iei din lume, ci să-i păzeşti de cel rău!

I do not ask that Thou mayest take them out of the world, but that Thou mayest keep them out of the evil.

16 E i nu sunt din lume, aşa cum nici Eu nu sunt din lume.

`Of the world they are not, as I of the world am not;

17 S finţeşte-i prin adevăr! Cuvântul Tău este adevărul.

sanctify them in Thy truth, Thy word is truth;

18 A şa cum Tu M-ai trimis pe Mine în lume, tot aşa i-am trimis şi Eu pe ei în lume.

as Thou didst send me to the world, I also did send them to the world;

19 E u Însumi M-am sfinţit pentru ei, ca şi ei să fie sfinţiţi prin adevăr. Isus se roagă pentru toţi credincioşii

and for them do I sanctify myself, that they also themselves may be sanctified in truth.

20 Ş i mă rog nu numai pentru aceştia, ci şi pentru cei ce vor crede în Mine prin cuvântul lor,

`And not in regard to these alone do I ask, but also in regard to those who shall be believing, through their word, in me;

21 c a toţi să fie una, aşa cum Tu, Tată, eşti în Mine, iar Eu în Tine; mă rog ca şi ei să fie în Noi, pentru ca lumea să creadă că Tu M-ai trimis.

that they all may be one, as Thou Father in me, and I in Thee; that they also in us may be one, that the world may believe that Thou didst send me.

22 E u le-am dat slava pe care Mi-ai dat-o Tu, pentru ca ei să fie una, aşa cum şi Noi suntem una;

`And I, the glory that thou hast given to me, have given to them, that they may be one as we are one;

23 E u în ei şi Tu în Mine – pentru ca ei să fie pe deplin una, astfel încât lumea să cunoască faptul că Tu M-ai trimis şi că i-ai iubit aşa cum M-ai iubit pe Mine.

I in them, and Thou in me, that they may be perfected into one, and that the world may know that Thou didst send me, and didst love them as Thou didst love me.

24 T ată, doresc ca acolo unde sunt Eu, să fie cu Mine şi aceia pe care Mi i-ai dat Tu, ca să vadă slava Mea, slavă pe care Mi-ai dat-o Tu, fiindcă Tu M-ai iubit înainte de întemeierea lumii!

`Father, those whom Thou hast given to me, I will that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory that Thou didst give to me, because Thou didst love me before the foundation of the world.

25 N eprihănitule Tată, lumea nu Te cunoaşte, dar Eu Te cunosc şi aceştia ştiu că Tu M-ai trimis.

`Righteous Father, also the world did not know Thee, and I knew Thee, and these have known that Thou didst send me,

26 E u le-am făcut cunoscut Numele Tău şi li-l voi mai face cunoscut, pentru ca dragostea cu care M-ai iubit să fie în ei şi Eu să fiu în ei.“

and I made known to them Thy name, and will make known, that the love with which Thou lovedst me in them may be, and I in them.'
