1 L 'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 « parla ad Aaronne e digli: Quando collocherai le lampade, le sette lampade dovranno far luce sul davanti del candelabro».

`Speak unto Aaron, and thou hast said unto him, In thy causing the lights to go up, over-against the face of the candlestick do the seven lights give light.'

3 E Aaronne fece così: collocò le lampade in modo che facessero luce sul davanti del candelabro, come l'Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

And Aaron doth so; over-against the face of the candlestick he hath caused its lights to go up, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

4 O r il candelabro era fatto così: era d'oro battuto; dal suo fusto ai suoi fiori era lavorato a martello. Mosè aveva fatto il candelabro secondo il modello che l'Eterno gli aveva mostrato.

And this the work of the candlestick: beaten work of gold; unto its thigh, unto its flower it beaten work; as the appearance which Jehovah shewed Moses, so he hath made the candlestick.

5 P oi l'Eterno parlò a Mosè, dicendo:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

6 « Prendi i Leviti tra i figli d'Israele e purificali.

`Take the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and thou hast cleansed them.

7 C osì farai con loro per purificarli: spruzzerai su di essi l'acqua di purificazione; quindi faranno passare il rasoio su tutto il loro corpo, laveranno le loro vesti e si purificheranno.

`And thus thou dost to them to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them waters of atonement, and they have caused a razor to pass over all their flesh, and have washed their garments, and cleansed themselves,

8 P oi prenderanno un torello con l'oblazione di cibo di fior di farina mescolata con olio, mentre tu prenderai un altro torello come sacrificio per il peccato.

and have taken a bullock, a son of the herd, and its present, flour mixed with oil, -- and a second bullock a son of the herd thou dost take for a sin-offering,

9 F arai avvicinare i Leviti davanti alla tenda di convegno e convocherai tutta l'assemblea dei figli d'Israele.

and thou hast brought near the Levites before the tent of meeting, and thou hast assembled the whole company of the sons of Israel,

10 C osì farai avvicinare i Leviti davanti all'Eterno e i figli d'Israele poseranno le loro mani sui Leviti;

and thou hast brought near the Levites before Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have laid their hands on the Levites,

11 q uindi Aaronne presenterà i Leviti come offerta agitata davanti all'Eterno da parte dei figli d'Israele, perché compiano il servizio dell'Eterno.

and Aaron hath waved the Levites -- a wave-offering before Jehovah, from the sons of Israel, and they have been -- for doing the service of Jehovah.

12 P oi i Leviti poseranno le loro mani sulla testa dei torelli, e tu ne offrirai uno come sacrifico per il peccato e l'altro come olocausto all'Eterno, per fare l'espiazione per i Leviti.

`And the Levites lay their hands on the head of the bullocks, and make thou the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering to Jehovah, to atone for the Levites,

13 F arai stare i Leviti in piedi davanti ad Aaronne e davanti ai suoi figli e li presenterai come un'offerta agitata all'Eterno.

and thou hast caused the Levites to stand before Aaron, and before his sons, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering to Jehovah;

14 C osì separerai i Leviti di mezzo ai figli d'Israele, e i Leviti saranno miei.

and thou hast separated the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and the Levites have become Mine;

15 D opo questo i Leviti entreranno a compiere il servizio nella tenda di convegno; così tu li purificherai e li presenterai come un'offerta agitata,

and afterwards do the Levites come in to serve the tent of meeting, and thou hast cleansed them, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering.

16 p erché mi sono interamente dati di mezzo ai figli d'Israele; io li ho presi per me, al posto di tutti quelli che aprono il grembo materno, al posto dei primogeniti di tutti i figli d'Israele.

`For they are certainly given to Me out of the midst of the sons of Israel, instead of him who openeth any womb -- the first-born of all -- from the sons of Israel I have taken them to Myself;

17 P oiché tutti i primogeniti dei figli d'Israele, tanto degli uomini quanto degli animali, sono miei; li consacrai per me il giorno che percossi tutti i primogeniti nel paese d'Egitto.

for Mine every first-born among the sons of Israel, among man and among beast; in the day of my smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself;

18 H o preso i Leviti al posto di tutti i primogeniti dei figli d'Israele.

and I take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel:

19 E ho dato in dono ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli i Leviti di mezzo ai figli d'Israele, perché compiano il servizio dei figli d'Israele nella tenda di convegno e perché facciano l'espiazione per i figli d'Israele, affinché non vi sia alcuna calamità tra i figli d'Israele per il loro avvicinarsi al santuario».

`And I give the Levites gifts to Aaron and to his sons, from the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the sons of Israel, and there is no plague among the sons of Israel in the sons of Israel's drawing nigh unto the sanctuary.'

20 C osì fecero Mosè, Aaronne e tutta l'assemblea dei figli d'Israele rispetto ai Leviti; i figli d'Israele fecero ai Leviti tutto ciò che l'Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè relativamente a loro.

And Moses doth -- Aaron also, and all the company of the sons of Israel -- to the Levites according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so have the sons of Israel done to them.

21 E i Leviti si purificarono e lavarono le loro vesti; poi Aaronne li presentò come un'offerta agitata davanti all'Eterno e fece l'espiazione per loro, per purificarli.

And the Levites cleanse themselves, and wash their garments, and Aaron waveth them a wave-offering before Jehovah, and Aaron maketh atonement for them to cleanse them,

22 D opo questo i Leviti entrarono a compiere il loro servizio nella tenda di convegno in presenza di Aaronne e dei suoi figli. Essi fecero ai Leviti ciò che l'Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè nei loro confronti.

and afterwards have the Levites gone in to do their service in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons; as Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they have done to them.

23 P oi l'Eterno parlò a Mosè, dicendo:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

24 Q uesto è ciò che riguarda i Leviti: da venticinque anni in su il Levita entrerà a compiere il lavoro nel servizio della tenda di convegno;

`This that which the Levites': from a son of five and twenty years and upward he doth go in to serve the host in the service of the tent of meeting,

25 e all'età di cinquant'anni smetterà di compiere questo lavoro di servizio e non servirà piú.

and from a son of fifty years he doth return from the host of the service, and doth not serve any more,

26 P otrà assistere i suoi fratelli nella tenda di convegno, mentre svolgono le loro mansioni; ma egli stesso non compirà alcun servizio. Così farai coi Leviti, riguardo ai loro compiti».

and he hath ministered with his brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and doth not do service; thus thou dost to the Levites concerning their charge.'
