O the happiness of those perfect in the way, They are walking in the law of Jehovah,

O the happiness of those keeping His testimonies, With the whole heart they seek Him.

3 e non commettono il male, ma camminano nelle sue vie.

Yea, they have not done iniquity, In His ways they have walked.

4 T u ci hai ordinato di osservare i tuoi comandamenti con cura.

Thou hast commanded us Thy precepts to keep diligently,

5 O h, che le mie vie siano ferme nell'osservanza dei tuoi statuti.

O that my ways were prepared to keep Thy statutes,

6 A llora non sarò svergognato, quando terrò conto di tutti i tuoi comandamenti.

Then I am not ashamed In my looking unto all Thy commands.

7 T i celebrerò con cuore retto mentre imparo i tuoi giusti decreti.

I confess Thee with uprightness of heart, In my learning the judgments of Thy righteousness.

8 O sserverò i tuoi statuti, non abbandonarmi completamente.

Thy statutes I keep, leave me not utterly!

9 C ome può un giovane rendere la sua via pura? Custodendola con la tua parola.

With what doth a young man purify his path? To observe -- according to Thy word.

10 T i ho cercato con tutto il mio cuore; non lasciarmi deviare dai tuoi comandamenti.

With all my heart I have sought Thee, Let me not err from Thy commands.

11 H o conservato la tua parola nel mio cuore, per non peccare contro di te.

In my heart I have hid Thy saying, That I sin not before Thee.

12 T u sei benedetto, o Eterno; insegnami i tuoi statuti.

Blessed Thou, O Jehovah, teach me Thy statutes.

13 C on le mie labbra ho enumerato tutti i decreti della tua bocca.

With my lips I have recounted All the judgments of Thy mouth.

14 G ioisco seguendo i tuoi precetti, come se possedessi tutte le ricchezze.

In the way of Thy testimonies I have joyed, As over all wealth.

15 M editerò sui tuoi comandamenti e considererò i tuoi sentieri.

In Thy precepts I meditate, And I behold attentively Thy paths.

16 M i diletterò nei tuoi statuti e non dimenticherò la tua parola.

In Thy statutes I delight myself, I do not forget Thy word.

17 F a' del bene al tuo servo, e io vivrò e osserverò la tua parola.

Confer benefits on Thy servant, I live, and I keep Thy word.

18 A pri i miei occhi, e contemplerò le meraviglie della tua legge.

Uncover mine eyes, and I behold wonders out of Thy law.

19 s ono straniero sulla terra; non nascondermi i tuoi comandamenti.

A sojourner I on earth, Hide not from me Thy commands.

20 L 'anima mia si consuma per il desiderio dei tuoi decreti in ogni tempo.

Broken hath my soul for desire Unto Thy judgments at all times.

21 T u sgridi i superbi, che sono maledetti, perché si allontanano dai tuoi comandamenti.

Thou hast rebuked the cursed proud, Who are erring from Thy commands.

22 T ogli via da me la vergogna e il disprezzo, perché ho osservato i tuoi precetti.

Remove from me reproach and contempt, For Thy testimonies I have kept.

23 A nche se i principi si siedono e parlano contro di me, il tuo servo medita sulle tue leggi.

Princes also sat -- against me they spoke, Thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes,

24 I tuoi precetti sono la mia gioia e i miei consiglieri.

Thy testimonies also my delight, The men of my counsel!

25 s ono prostrato nella polvere; ravvivami secondo la tua parola.

Cleaved to the dust hath my soul, Quicken me according to Thy word.

26 T i ho esposto le mie vie, e tu mi hai risposto; insegnami i tuoi statuti.

My ways I have recounted, And Thou answerest me, teach me Thy statutes,

27 F ammi comprendere la via dei tuoi comandamenti, e io mediterò sulle tue meraviglie.

The way of Thy precepts cause me to understand, And I meditate in Thy wonders.

28 L a mia vita si consuma nel dolore; dammi forza secondo la tua parola.

My soul hath dropped from affliction, Establish me according to Thy word.

29 T ienimi lontano dalla falsità e, nella tua grazia, fammi conoscere la tua legge.

The way of falsehood turn aside from me And with Thy law favour me.

The way of faithfulness I have chosen, Thy judgments I have compared,

I have adhered to Thy testimonies, O Jehovah, put me not to shame.

32 C orrerò nella via dei tuoi comandamenti, perché tu mi allargherai il cuore.

The way of Thy commands I run, For Thou dost enlarge my heart!

33 I nsegnami, o Eterno, la via dei tuoi statuti e io la seguirò fino alla fine.

Show me, O Jehovah, the way of Thy statutes, And I keep it -- the end.

34 D ammi intelligenza e io custodirò la tua legge; sí, la osserverò con tutto il cuore.

Cause me to understand, and I keep Thy law, And observe it with the whole heart.

35 F ammi camminare nella via dei tuoi comandamenti, perché in essa trovo il mio diletto.

Cause me to tread in the path of Thy commands, For in it I have delighted.

36 P iega il mio cuore ai tuoi precetti e non alla cupidigia.

Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies, And not unto dishonest gain.

37 D istogli i miei occhi dalle cose vane e vivificami nelle tue vie.

Remove mine eyes from seeing vanity, In Thy way quicken Thou me.

38 M antieni la tua parola al tuo servo, che ha timore di te.

Establish to Thy servant Thy saying, That concerning Thy fear.

39 A llontana da me l'oltraggio, che mi spaventa perché i tuoi decreti sono buoni.

Remove my reproach that I have feared, For Thy judgments good.

40 E cco, io desidero ardentemente i tuoi comandamenti; vivificami nella tua giustizia.

Lo, I have longed for Thy precepts, In Thy righteousness quicken Thou me,

41 M i raggiungano le tue misericordie, o Eterno e la tua salvezza secondo la tua parola.

And meet me doth Thy kindness, O Jehovah, Thy salvation according to Thy saying.

42 C osí potrò rispondere a colui che mi oltraggia, perché confido nella tua parola.

And I answer him who is reproaching me a word, For I have trusted in Thy word.

43 N on togliere completamente dalla mia bocca la parola della verità, perché io spero nei tuoi decreti.

And Thou takest not utterly away From my mouth the word of truth, Because for Thy judgment I have hoped.

44 C osí osserverò la tua legge del continuo, per sempre.

And I keep Thy law continually, To the age and for ever.

45 C amminerò nella libertà perché ricerco i tuoi comandamenti.

And I walk habitually in a broad place, For Thy precepts I have sought.

46 P arlerò dei tuoi precetti davanti ai re e non sarò svergognato.

And I speak of Thy testimonies before kings, And I am not ashamed.

And I delight myself in Thy commands, That I have loved,

And I lift up my hands unto Thy commands, That I have loved, And I do meditate on Thy statutes!

49 R icordati della parola data al tuo servo, con la quale tu mi hai fatto sperare.

Remember the word to Thy servant, On which Thou hast caused me to hope.

50 Q uesto è il mio conforto nell'afflizione, che la tua parola mi ha vivificato.

This my comfort in mine affliction, That Thy saying hath quickened me.

51 I superbi mi ricoprono di scherno, ma io non devio dalla tua legge.

The proud have utterly scorned me, From Thy law I have not turned aside.

52 R icordo i tuoi antichi decreti, o Eterno, e questo mi consola.

I remembered Thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, And I comfort myself.

53 G rande sdegno mi prende a motivo degli empi che abbandonano la tua legge.

Horror hath seized me, Because of the wicked forsaking Thy law.

54 I tuoi statuti sono stati i miei cantici nella casa del mio pellegrinaggio.

Songs have been to me Thy statutes, In the house of my sojournings.

I have remembered in the night Thy name, O Jehovah, And I do keep Thy law.

I have made haste, And delayed not, to keep Thy commands.

Cords of the wicked have surrounded me, Thy law I have not forgotten.

At midnight I rise to give thanks to Thee, For the judgments of Thy righteousness.

A companion I to all who fear Thee, And to those keeping Thy precepts.

64 O Eterno, la terra è piena della tua benignità; insegnami i tuoi statuti.

Of Thy kindness, O Jehovah, the earth is full, Thy statutes teach Thou me!

Good Thou didst with Thy servant, O Jehovah, According to Thy word.

66 I nsegnami giusto discernimento e conoscenza, perché credo nei tuoi comandamenti.

The goodness of reason and knowledge teach me, For in Thy commands I have believed.

67 P rima di essere afflitto andavo errando, ma ora osservo la tua parola.

Before I am afflicted, I -- I am erring, And now Thy saying I have kept.

68 T u sei buono e fai del bene; insegnami i tuoi statuti.

Good Thou, and doing good, Teach me Thy statutes.

Forged against me falsehood have the proud, I with the whole heart keep Thy precepts.

Insensate as fat hath been their heart, I -- in Thy law I have delighted.

71 E ' stato bene per me l'essere stato afflitto, perché imparassi i tuoi statuti.

Good for me that I have been afflicted, That I might learn Thy statutes.

72 L a legge della tua bocca per me è piú preziosa di migliaia di monete d'oro e d'argento.

Better to me the law of Thy mouth Than thousands of gold and silver!

73 L e tue mani mi hanno fatto e formato; dammi intelligenza perché possa imparare i tuoi comandamenti.

Thy hands made me and establish me, Cause me to understand, and I learn Thy commands.

74 Q uelli che ti temono mi vedranno e si rallegreranno, perché ho sperato nella tua parola.

Those fearing Thee see me and rejoice, Because for Thy word I have hoped.

75 s o, o Eterno, che i tuoi decreti sono giusti, e che tu mi hai afflitto nella tua fedeltà.

I have known, O Jehovah, That righteous Thy judgments, And faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me.

76 D eh, la tua benignità sia il mio conforto, secondo la tua parola data al tuo servo.

Let, I pray Thee, Thy kindness be to comfort me, According to Thy saying to Thy servant.

77 V engano a me le tue grandi compassioni e possa cosí vivere, perché la tua legge è il mio diletto.

Meet me do Thy mercies, and I live, For Thy law my delight.

78 S iano confusi i superbi, perché mi trattano ingiustamente senza motivo ma io medito sui tuoi comandamenti.

Ashamed are the proud, For falsehood they dealt perversely with me. I meditate in Thy precepts.

79 S i rivolgano a me quelli che ti temono e quelli che conoscono i tuoi precetti.

Those fearing Thee turn back to me, And those knowing Thy testimonies.

80 S ia il mio cuore irreprensibile nei riguardi dei tuoi statuti, affinché non sia confuso.

My heart is perfect in Thy statutes, So that I am not ashamed.

81 L a mia anima si strugge per l'ardente desiderio della tua salvezza; io spero nella tua parola.

Consumed for Thy salvation hath been my soul, For Thy word I have hoped.

82 I miei occhi vengono meno aspettando il compimento della tua parola, mentre dico: «Quando mi consolerai?».

Consumed have been mine eyes for Thy word, Saying, `When doth it comfort me?'

For I have been as a bottle in smoke, Thy statutes I have not forgotten.

How many the days of Thy servant? When dost Thou execute Against my pursuers judgment?

The proud have digged for me pits, That not according to Thy law.

86 T utti i tuoi comandamenti sono degni di fiducia; loro mi perseguitano a torto; soccorrimi.

All Thy commands faithfulness, falsehood they have pursued me, Help Thou me.

87 M i hanno quasi eliminato dalla terra, ma io non ho abbandonato i tuoi comandamenti.

Almost consumed me on earth have they, And I -- I have not forsaken Thy precepts.

88 V ivificami secondo la tua benignità, e io osserverò i precetti della tua bocca.

According to Thy kindness quicken Thou me, And I keep the testimony of Thy mouth!

89 P er sempre, o Eterno, la tua parola è stabile nei cieli.

To the age, O Jehovah, Thy word is set up in the heavens.

To all generations Thy faithfulness, Thou didst establish earth, and it standeth.

According to Thine ordinances They have stood this day, for the whole Thy servants.

92 S e la tua legge non fosse stata il mio diletto, sarei già perito nella mia afflizione.

Unless Thy law my delights, Then had I perished in mine affliction.

93 N on dimenticherò mai i tuoi comandamenti, perché per mezzo di essi tu mi hai dato la vita.

To the age I forget not Thy precepts, For by them Thou hast quickened me.

94 I o sono tuo; salvami, perché ho ricercato i tuoi comandamenti.

I Thine, save Thou me, For Thy precepts I have sought.

95 G li empi mi insidiano per farmi perire, ma io riguarderò ai tuoi precetti.

Thy wicked waited for me to destroy me, Thy testimonies I understand.

96 H o visto il limite di ogni cosa perfetta, ma il tuo comandamento non ha alcun limite.

Of all perfection I have seen an end, Broad Thy command -- exceedingly!

From Thy judgments I turned not aside, For Thou -- Thou hast directed me.

103 C ome sono dolci le tue parole al mio palato! Sono piú dolci del miele alla mia bocca.

How sweet to my palate hath been Thy saying, Above honey to my mouth.

104 P er mezzo dei tuoi comandamenti io acquisto intelligenza; perciò odio ogni sentiero di falsità.

From Thy precepts I have understanding, Therefore I have hated every false path!

105 L a tua parola è una lampada al mio piede e una luce sul mio sentiero.

A lamp to my foot Thy word, And a light to my path.

106 I o ho giurato, e lo manterrò, di osservare i tuoi giusti decreti.

I have sworn, and I confirm, To keep the judgments of Thy righteousness.

107 I o sono molto afflitto; vivificami, o Eterno secondo la tua parola.

I have been afflicted very much, O Jehovah, quicken me, according to Thy word.

108 D eh, o Eterno, gradisci le offerte spontanee della mia bocca e insegnami i tuoi decreti.

Free-will-offerings of my mouth, Accept, I pray Thee, O Jehovah, And Thy judgments teach Thou me.

My soul in my hand continually, And Thy law I have not forgotten.

The wicked have laid a snare for me, And from thy precepts I wandered not.

118 T u rigetti tutti quelli che si sviano dai tuoi statuti, perché il loro inganno e menzogna.

Thou hast trodden down All going astray from Thy statutes, For falsehood their deceit.

119 T u elimini come rifiuto tutti gli empi della terra; perciò io amo i tuoi precetti.

Dross! Thou hast caused to cease All the wicked of the earth; Therefore I have loved Thy testimonies.

120 L a mia carne trema tutta per paura di te, e io temo i tuoi decreti.

Trembled from Thy fear hath my flesh, And from Thy judgments I have been afraid!

121 h o fatto ciò che è retto e giusto; non abbandonarmi ai miei oppressori.

I have done judgment and righteousness, Leave me not to mine oppressors.

122 D a' sicurezza e prosperità al tuo servo, e non lasciare che i superbi mi opprimano.

Make sure Thy servant for good, Let not the proud oppress me.

123 G li occhi miei vengono meno cercando la tua salvezza, e la parola della tua giustizia.

Mine eyes have been consumed for Thy salvation. And for the saying of Thy righteousness.

124 P renditi cura del tuo servo secondo la tua benignità e insegnami i tuoi statuti.

Do with Thy servant according to Thy kindness. And Thy statutes teach Thou me.

Time for Jehovah to work! they have made void Thy law.

Therefore I have loved Thy commands Above gold -- even fine gold.

Therefore all my appointments I have declared wholly right, Every path of falsehood I have hated!

129 I tuoi precetti sono meravigliosi, perciò l'anima mia li osserva.

Wonderful Thy testimonies, Therefore hath my soul kept them.

The opening of Thy words enlighteneth, Instructing the simple.

My mouth I have opened, yea, I pant, For, for Thy commands I have longed.

Look unto me, and favour me, As customary to those loving Thy name.

133 S tabilisci i miei passi nella tua parola e non permettere che alcuna iniquità mi domini.

My steps establish by Thy saying, And any iniquity doth not rule over me.

134 L iberami dall'oppressione degli uomini e io osserverò i tuoi comandamenti.

Ransom me from the oppression of man, And I observe Thy precepts,

135 F a' risplendere il tuo volto sul tuo servo e insegnami i tuoi statuti.

Thy face cause to shine on Thy servant, And teach me Thy statutes.

136 R ivi di lacrime mi scendono dagli occhi, perché la tua legge non è osservata.

Rivulets of waters have come down mine eyes, Because they have not kept Thy law!

137 T u sei giusto, o Eterno, e i tuoi decreti sono retti.

Righteous Thou, O Jehovah, And upright Thy judgments.

138 T u hai stabilito i tuoi precetti con giustizia e con grande fedeltà.

Thou hast appointed Thy testimonies, Righteous and exceeding faithful,

139 I l mio zelo mi consuma, perché i miei nemici hanno dimenticato le tue parole.

Cut me off hath my zeal, For mine adversaries forgot Thy words.

140 L a tua parola è pura d'ogni scoria; perciò il tuo servo l'ama.

Tried thy saying exceedingly, And Thy servant hath loved it.

Small I, and despised, Thy precepts I have not forgotten.

I have seen treacherous ones, And grieve myself, Because Thy saying they have not kept.

159 C onsidera quanto amo i tuoi comandamenti! O Eterno, vivificami secondo la tua benignità.

See, for thy precepts I have loved, Jehovah, According to Thy kindness quicken me.

160 L a somma della tua parola è verità; e tutti i tuoi giusti decreti durano in eterno.

The sum of Thy word truth, And to the age every judgment of Thy righteousness!

161 I principi mi perseguitano senza motivo ma il mio cuore ha gran timore della tua parola.

Princes have pursued me without cause, And because of Thy words was my heart afraid.

162 p rovo grande gioia nella tua parola, come chi trova un gran bottino.

I do rejoice concerning Thy saying, As one finding abundant spoil.

163 O dio e detesto la menzogna, ma amo la tua legge.

Falsehood I have hated, yea I abominate, Thy law I have loved.

164 T i lodo sette volte al giorno per i tuoi giusti decreti.

Seven in a day I have praised Thee, Because of the judgments of Thy righteousness.

165 G rande pace hanno quelli che amano la tua legge, e non c'è nulla che li possa far cadere.

Abundant peace have those loving Thy law, And they have no stumbling-block.

166 O Eterno, io spero nella tua salvezza e metto in pratica i tuoi comandamenti.

I have waited for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy commands I have done.

167 h o osservato i tuoi precetti e li amo grandemente.

Kept hath my soul Thy testimonies, And I do love them exceedingly.

168 H o osservato i tuoi comandamenti e i tuoi precetti, perché tutte le mie vie sono davanti a te.

I have kept Thy precepts and Thy testimonies, For all my ways are before Thee!

169 G iunga fino a te il mio grido, o Eterno; dammi intelligenza secondo la tua parola.

My loud cry cometh near before Thee, O Jehovah; According to Thy word cause me to understand.

170 G iunga la mia supplica davanti a te; liberami secondo la tua parola.

My supplication cometh in before Thee, According to Thy saying deliver Thou me.

171 L e mie labbra effonderanno lode, perché tu mi insegni i tuoi statuti.

My lips do utter praise, For Thou dost teach me Thy statutes.

172 L a mia lingua annunzierà la tua parola, perché tutti i tuoi comandamenti sono giusti.

My tongue doth sing of Thy saying, For all Thy commands righteous.

173 L a tua mano mi aiuti, perché io ho scelto i tuoi comandamenti.

Thy hand is for a help to me, For Thy commands I have chosen.

174 d esidero ardentemente la tua salvezza, o Eterno, e la tua legge è la mia gioia.

I have longed for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy law my delight.

175 P ossa io vivere per lodarti, e mi soccorrano i tuoi decreti.

My soul liveth, and it doth praise Thee, And Thy judgments do help me.

176 v ado errando come una pecora smarrita. Cerca il tuo servo, perché io non dimentico i tuoi comandamenti.

I wandered as a lost sheep, seek Thy servant, For Thy precepts I have not forgotten!
