1 Ч еловека, слабого в вере, принимайте, не споря о мнениях.

And him who is weak in the faith receive ye -- not to determinations of reasonings;

2 В ера одного позволяет ему есть все, а слабый в вере ест только овощи.

one doth believe that he may eat all things -- and he who is weak doth eat herbs;

3 Т от, кто ест все, не должен смотреть свысока на того, кто этого не делает, и тот, кто чего-то не ест, не должен осуждать того, кто ест, потому что Бог принял его.

let not him who is eating despise him who is not eating: and let not him who is not eating judge him who is eating, for God did receive him.

4 К то ты такой, чтобы судить чужого слугу? Стоит он или падает перед своим хозяином, он будет снова поставлен на ноги, потому что Господь способен поставить его.

Thou -- who art thou that art judging another's domestic? to his own master he doth stand or fall; and he shall be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

5 К то-то различает дни как более и менее важные, а для другого все дни одинаковы. Пусть каждый и дальше поступает в соответствии со своими убеждениями.

One doth judge one day above another, and another doth judge every day; let each in his own mind be fully assured.

6 К то считает, что один день важнее другого, тот делает это для Господа. Кто ест что-либо – ест для Господа, потому что он при этом благодарит Бога, и кто не ест этого – тоже для Господа не ест и благодарит Бога.

He who is regarding the day, to the Lord he doth regard, and he who is not regarding the day, to the Lord he doth not regard. He who is eating, to the Lord he doth eat, for he doth give thanks to God; and he who is not eating, to the Lord he doth not eat, and doth give thanks to God.

7 Н икто из нас не живет для себя и не умирает для себя.

For none of us to himself doth live, and none to himself doth die;

8 Е сли мы живем, то живем для Господа, и если умираем, то умираем тоже для Господа. Живем мы или умираем – мы принадлежим Ему.

for both, if we may live, to the Lord we live; if also we may die, to the Lord we die; both then if we may live, also if we may die, we are the Lord's;

9 В едь для этого и Христос умер и ожил, чтобы Ему быть Господом живых и мертвых.

for because of this Christ both died and rose again, and lived again, that both of dead and of living he may be Lord.

10 П очему же ты судишь своего брата? Или ты, почему презираешь своего брата? Ведь все мы предстанем на суд Божий.

And thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand at the tribunal of the Christ;

11 Н аписано: «Верно, как и то, что Я живу, – говорит Господь, – преклонится предо Мной каждое колено, и каждый язык воздаст хвалу Богу».

for it hath been written, `I live! saith the Lord -- to Me bow shall every knee, and every tongue shall confess to God;'

12 К аждый из нас ответит перед Богом сам за себя. Не давайте повода к преткновениям

so, then, each of us concerning himself shall give reckoning to God;

13 П оэтому не будем больше судить друг друга. Лучше смотрите за собой, чтобы не делать ничего такого, из-за чего брат ваш может споткнуться и упасть.

no longer, therefore, may we judge one another, but this judge ye rather, not to put a stumbling-stone before the brother, or an offence.

14 Я знаю и твердо убежден в Господе Иисусе, что нет никакой пищи, которая была бы сама по себе нечиста, но если человек считает что-либо нечистым, то для него оно нечисто.

I have known, and am persuaded, in the Lord Jesus, that nothing unclean of itself, except to him who is reckoning anything to be unclean -- to that one unclean;

15 Е сли твой брат оскорбляется из-за пищи, которую ты ешь, то ты поступаешь не по любви. Не губи своей пищей брата, за которого умер Христос.

and if through victuals thy brother is grieved, no more dost thou walk according to love; do not with thy victuals destroy that one for whom Christ died.

16 Н е давайте людям повода ругать то, что вы считаете добрым.

Let not, then, your good be evil spoken of,

17 Ц арство Божье заключается не в пище и питье, а в праведности, в мире и в радости, которую дает Святой Дух.

for the reign of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;

18 К то так служит Христу, тот доставляет радость Богу и заслуживает одобрение людей.

for he who in these things is serving the Christ, acceptable to God and approved of men.

19 Б удем же прилагать все усилия, чтобы делать то, что ведет к миру и взаимному назиданию.

So, then, the things of peace may we pursue, and the things of building up one another;

20 Н е разрушайте дела Божьи ради пищи. Вся пища чиста, но плохо поступает тот, кто через пищу приводит своего ближнего к падению.

for the sake of victuals cast not down the work of God; all things, indeed, pure, but evil to the man who is eating through stumbling.

21 Л учше не есть мяса, не пить вина и не делать ничего, от чего твой брат спотыкается.

Right not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to in which thy brother doth stumble, or is made to fall, or is weak.

22 П усть твое мнение на этот счет будет твоим личным убеждением перед Богом, и счастлив тот, кто не осуждает себя за свой выбор.

Thou hast faith! to thyself have before God; happy is he who is not judging himself in what he doth approve,

23 К то ест и в то же время сомневается в правильности своего решения, уже осужден, потому что он не поступает в соответствии со своей верой, а все, что не по вере, – грех.

and he who is making a difference, if he may eat, hath been condemned, because not of faith; and all that not of faith is sin.
