1 А враам взял себе другую жену, которую звали Хеттура.

And Abraham addeth and taketh a wife, and her name Keturah;

2 О на родила ему Зимрана, Иокшана, Медана, Мадиана, Ишбака и Шуаха.

and she beareth to him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

3 И окшан был отцом Шевы и Дедана; потомками Дедана были ашуриты, летушиты и леюмиты.

And Jokshan hath begotten Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim;

4 С ыновьями Мадиана были Ефа, Ефер, Ханох, Авида и Елдага. Все они были потомками Хеттуры.

and the sons of Midian Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah: all these sons of Keturah.

5 А враам оставил все, что у него было, Исааку.

And Abraham giveth all that he hath to Isaac;

6 С ыновьям наложниц он еще при жизни дал подарки и отослал их от своего сына Исаака на восток, в восточную землю.

and to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham hath, Abraham hath given gifts, and sendeth them away from Isaac his son (in his being yet alive) eastward, unto the east country.

7 В сего Авраам прожил сто семьдесят пять лет.

And these the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lived, a hundred and seventy and five years;

8 О н испустил последний вздох и умер в глубокой старости, насытившись жизнью, и отошел к своим предкам.

and Abraham expireth, and dieth in a good old age, aged and satisfied, and is gathered unto his people.

9 Е го сыновья Исаак и Измаил похоронили его в пещере Махпела рядом с Мамре, на поле хетта Эфрона, сына Цохара,

And Isaac and Ishmael his sons bury him at the cave of Machpelah, at the field of Ephron, son of Zoar the Hittite, which before Mamre --

10 к оторое Авраам купил у хеттов. Там Авраам был погребен рядом со своей женой Саррой.

the field which Abraham bought from the sons of Heth -- there hath Abraham been buried, and Sarah his wife.

11 П осле смерти Авраама Бог благословил его сына Исаака, который тогда жил возле Беэр-лахай-рои. Потомки Измаила (1 Пар. 1: 28-31)

And it cometh to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blesseth Isaac his son; and Isaac dwelleth by the Well of the Living One, my Beholder.

12 В от родословие Измаила, сына Авраама, которого Саррина служанка, египтянка Агарь, родила Аврааму:

And these births of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, hath borne to Abraham;

13 и вот имена сыновей Измаила, перечисленные в порядке их рождения: Невайот – первенец Измаила, Кедар, Адбеел, Мивсам,

and these the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their births: first-born of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

14 М ишма, Дума, Масса,

and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

15 Х адад, Тема, Иетур, Нафиш и Кедма.

Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:

16 Э то имена сыновей Измаила, имена двенадцати вождей родов по их поселениям и кочевьям.

these are sons of Ishmael, and these their names, by their villages, and by their towers; twelve princes according to their peoples.

17 В сего Измаил жил сто тридцать семь лет. Он испустил последний вздох и умер, и отошел к своим предкам.

And these the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty and seven years; and he expireth, and dieth, and is gathered unto his people;

18 Е го потомки поселились в области от Хавилы до Сура, возле границы Египта, на пути к Ашшуру. Они жили во вражде со всеми братьями. Сыновья Исаака – Иаков и Исав

and they tabernacle from Havilah unto Shur, which before Egypt, in going towards Asshur; in the presence of all his brethren hath he fallen.

19 В от рассказ об Исааке, сыне Авраама: У Авраама родился Исаак.

And these births of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham hath begotten Isaac;

20 И сааку было сорок лет, когда он женился на Ревекке, дочери арамея Бетуила из Паддан-Арама и сестре арамея Лавана.

and Isaac is a son of forty years in his taking Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean, from Padan-Aram, sister of Laban the Aramaean, to him for a wife.

21 И саак молил Господа за жену, потому что она была бесплодна. Господь ответил на его молитву, и его жена Ревекка забеременела.

And Isaac maketh entreaty to Jehovah before his wife, for she barren: and Jehovah is entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiveth,

22 Д ети стали толкать друг друга в ее утробе, и она сказала: – За что мне это? И она пошла спросить Господа.

and the children struggle together within her, and she saith, `If right -- why I thus?' and she goeth to seek Jehovah.

23 Г осподь сказал ей: – Два племени в чреве твоем, два народа произойдут из тебя и разделятся; один будет сильнее другого, и старший будет служить младшему.

And Jehovah saith to her, `Two nations in thy womb, and two peoples from thy bowels are parted; and the people than the people is stronger; and the elder doth serve the younger.'

24 К огда пришло ей время родить, во чреве ее действительно оказались мальчики-близнецы.

And her days to bear are fulfilled, and lo, twins in her womb;

25 П ервый родился красный, и все его тело было покрыто волосами как ворсистой одеждой; поэтому его назвали Исав.

and the first cometh out all red as a hairy robe, and they call his name Esau;

26 П отом появился его брат, держась рукой за пятку Исава; поэтому он был назван Иаков. Исааку было шестьдесят лет, когда Ревекка родила их. Исав продает свое первородство

and afterwards hath his brother come out, and his hand is taking hold on Esau's heel, and one calleth his name Jacob; and Isaac a son of sixty years in her bearing them.

27 М альчики выросли: Исав был искусный охотник, человек полей, а Иаков был человек тихий, живущий среди шатров.

And the youths grew, and Esau is a man acquainted hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob a plain man, inhabiting tents;

28 И саак, которому была по вкусу дичь, больше любил Исава, но Ревекка больше любила Иакова.

and Isaac loveth Esau, for hunting in his mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob.

29 О днажды, когда Иаков готовил похлебку, Исав вернулся с поля очень голодный.

And Jacob boileth pottage, and Esau cometh in from the field, and he weary;

30 О н сказал Иакову: – Скорее, дай мне поесть немного того красного, что ты готовишь! Я умираю от голода! (Вот почему ему также дали имя Эдом ).

and Esau saith unto Jacob, `Let me eat, I pray thee, some of this red red thing, for I weary;' therefore hath called his name Edom;

31 И аков ответил: – Сперва продай мне твое первородство.

and Jacob saith, `Sell to-day thy birthright to me.'

32 – Я умираю от голода, – сказал Исав. – Какая мне польза в первородстве?

And Esau saith, `Lo, I am going to die, and what is this to me -- birthright?'

33 И аков сказал: – Сначала поклянись. Он поклялся, и так продал свое первородство Иакову.

and Jacob saith, `Swear to me to-day:' and he sweareth to him, and selleth his birthright to Jacob;

34 Т огда Иаков дал Исаву хлеба и чечевичной похлебки. Он поел, попил, встал и ушел. Так Исав пренебрег своим первородством.

and Jacob hath given to Esau bread and pottage of lentiles, and he eateth, and drinketh, and riseth, and goeth; and Esau despiseth the birthright.
