1 Т ак было завершено сотворение неба и земли и всего их многообразия.

And the heavens and the earth are completed, and all their host;

2 К седьмому дню Бог закончил труд, который Он совершал, и на седьмой день Он отдыхал от всех Своих дел.

and God completeth by the seventh day His work which He hath made, and ceaseth by the seventh day from all His work which He hath made.

3 Б ог благословил седьмой день и сделал его святым, потому что в этот день Он отдыхал от Своего труда, который Он делал и завершил. Адам и Ева

And God blesseth the seventh day, and sanctifieth it, for in it He hath ceased from all His work which God had prepared for making.

4 В от повествование о небе и земле, когда они были сотворены. Когда Господь Бог создавал землю и небо,

These births of the heavens and of the earth in their being prepared, in the day of Jehovah God's making earth and heavens;

5 н а земле тогда еще не было ни кустарника полевого, ни полевой травы, потому что Господь Бог не посылал на землю дождя, и не было человека, чтобы обрабатывать почву,

and no shrub of the field is yet in the earth, and no herb of the field yet sprouteth, for Jehovah God hath not rained upon the earth, and a man there is not to serve the ground,

6 т олько поток поднимался из земли и орошал всю ее поверхность, –

and a mist goeth up from the earth, and hath watered the whole face of the ground.

7 т огда Господь Бог создал человека из земного праха и вдунул ему в ноздри дыхание жизни, и человек стал живым существом.

And Jehovah God formeth the man -- dust from the ground, and breatheth into his nostrils breath of life, and the man becometh a living creature.

8 З атем Господь Бог посадил сад на востоке, в Эдеме, и поселил там человека, которого Он создал.

And Jehovah God planteth a garden in Eden, at the east, and He setteth there the man whom He hath formed;

9 Г осподь Бог вырастил из земли все виды деревьев – приятных на вид и пригодных для пищи. Посреди же сада росли дерево жизни и дерево познания добра и зла.

and Jehovah God causeth to sprout from the ground every tree desirable for appearance, and good for food, and the tree of life in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

10 И з Эдема вытекала река, орошавшая сад, а далее она разделялась на четыре потока.

And a river is going out from Eden to water the garden, and from thence it is parted, and hath become four chief;

11 П ервый называется Пишон: он течет вокруг всей земли Хавила, где есть золото.

the name of the one Pison, it that which is surrounding the whole land of the Havilah where the gold,

12 З олото в той земле хорошее, и еще там есть пахучая смола и оникс.

and the gold of that land good, there the bdolach and the shoham stone;

13 В торая река называется Гихон, она течет вокруг всей земли Куш.

and the name of the second river Gibon, it that which is surrounding the whole land of Cush;

14 Т ретья река называется Тигр, она течет к востоку от Ашшура. А четвертая река – это Евфрат.

and the name of the third river Hiddekel, it that which is going east of Asshur; and the fourth river is Phrat.

15 Г осподь Бог поселил человека в Эдемском саду, чтобы он возделывал сад и заботился о нем.

And Jehovah God taketh the man, and causeth him to rest in the garden of Eden, to serve it, and to keep it.

16 Г осподь Бог заповедал человеку: «Можешь есть плоды с любого дерева в саду,

And Jehovah God layeth a charge on the man, saying, `Of every tree of the garden eating thou dost eat;

17 н о не ешь с дерева познания добра и зла, потому что в день, когда ты съешь с него, ты непременно умрешь ».

and of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou dost not eat of it, for in the day of thine eating of it -- dying thou dost die.'

18 Г осподь Бог сказал: «Нехорошо человеку быть одному. Я создам ему помощника под стать».

And Jehovah God saith, `Not good for the man to be alone, I do make to him an helper -- as his counterpart.'

19 Г осподь Бог создал из земли всех зверей полевых и всех птиц небесных. Затем Он привел их к человеку, чтобы увидеть, как тот их назовет; и как назвал человек каждое живое творение, так и стало ему имя.

And Jehovah God formeth from the ground every beast of the field, and every fowl of the heavens, and bringeth in unto the man, to see what he doth call it; and whatever the man calleth a living creature, that its name.

20 Т ак человек дал имена всему скоту, всем птицам небесным и всем полевым зверям. Но для Адама не нашлось подходящего помощника.

And the man calleth names to all the cattle, and to fowl of the heavens, and to every beast of the field; and to man hath not been found an helper -- as his counterpart.

21 Т огда Господь Бог погрузил человека в глубокий сон, и пока он спал, взял одно из его ребер и закрыл это место плотью.

And Jehovah God causeth a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he sleepeth, and He taketh one of his ribs, and closeth up flesh in its stead.

22 И з ребра, которое Он вынул из человека, Господь Бог создал женщину и привел ее к нему.

And Jehovah God buildeth up the rib which He hath taken out of the man into a woman, and bringeth her in unto the man;

23 Ч еловек сказал: «Вот теперь это кость от костей моих и плоть от плоти моей: она будет называться “женщина”, потому что была взята от мужчины».

and the man saith, `This the step! bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh!' for this it is called Woman, for from a man hath this been taken;

24 П оэтому оставит человек отца и мать и соединится со своей женой, и они станут одной плотью.

therefore doth a man leave his father and his mother, and hath cleaved unto his wife, and they have become one flesh.

25 И Адам, и его жена были наги, но не испытывали стыда.

And they are both of them naked, the man and his wife, and they are not ashamed of themselves.
