1 О дин же человек, по имени Анания, вместе со своей женой Сапфирой, продал свое имение

And a certain man, Ananias by name, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 и часть вырученной суммы оставил себе, причем его жена знала об этом. Остальное же он принес и положил к ногам апостолов.

and did keep back of the price -- his wife also knowing -- and having brought a certain part, at the feet of the apostles he laid.

3 П етр сказал ему: – Анания, как это сатана мог завладеть твоим сердцем настолько, что ты солгал Святому Духу и оставил себе часть денег, которые ты получил за проданную землю?

And Peter said, `Ananias, wherefore did the Adversary fill thy heart, for thee to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back of the price of the place?

4 В едь земля до того, как ты ее продал, была твоей, и деньги, которые ты за нее получил, тоже твои. Почему же ты замыслил такое? Ты солгал не людям, а Богу.

while it remained, did it not remain thine? and having been sold, in thy authority was it not? why it that thou didst put in thy heart this thing? thou didst not lie to men, but to God;'

5 К ак только Анания услышал эти слова, он упал мертвым. Все присутствующие сильно испугались.

and Ananias hearing these words, having fallen down, did expire, and great fear came upon all who heard these things,

6 П одошли молодые люди, завернули его тело, вынесли и похоронили.

and having risen, the younger men wound him up, and having carried forth, they buried.

7 Ч аса три спустя пришла его жена, ничего не знавшая о происшедшем.

And it came to pass, about three hours after, that his wife, not knowing what hath happened, came in,

8 П етр спросил ее: – Скажи мне, вы с мужем за такую-то сумму продали землю? – Да, – ответила она, – за такую.

and Peter answered her, `Tell me if for so much ye sold the place;' and she said, `Yes, for so much.'

9 П етр сказал ей: – Что это вы сговорились испытывать Духа Господа? Ты слышишь шаги у дверей? Это возвращаются хоронившие твоего мужа. Они и тебя вынесут.

And Peter said unto her, `How was it agreed by you, to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? lo, the feet of those who did bury thy husband at the door, and they shall carry thee forth;'

10 И в тот же момент она упала к его ногам мертвой. Молодые люди вошли и, найдя ее мертвой, вынесли и похоронили ее рядом с мужем.

and she fell down presently at his feet, and expired, and the young men having come in, found her dead, and having carried forth, they buried by her husband;

11 В сей церковью и всеми, кто об этом слышал, овладел великий страх. Знамения и чудеса

and great fear came upon all the assembly, and upon all who heard these things.

12 Ч ерез апостолов в народе совершалось много знамений и чудес. Все верующие собирались вместе в колоннаде Соломона.

And through the hands of the apostles came many signs and wonders among the people, and they were with one accord all in the porch of Solomon;

13 И никто из случайных людей не решался к ним присоединяться, хотя народ их очень уважал.

and of the rest no one was daring to join himself to them, but the people were magnifying them,

14 В ерующих же в Господа становилось все больше и больше, и мужчин, и женщин.

(and the more were believers added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women,)

15 Л юди выносили на улицы больных, клали их на носилках и циновках, чтобы хоть тень Петра упала на них, когда он будет проходить мимо.

so as into the broad places to bring forth the ailing, and to lay upon couches and mats, that at the coming of Peter, even shadow might overshadow some one of them;

16 И из городов, что были вблизи Иерусалима, приходили толпы людей. Они приносили больных и одержимых нечистыми духами, и все исцелялись. Преследования апостолов

and there were coming together also the people of the cities round about to Jerusalem, bearing ailing persons, and those harassed by unclean spirits -- who were all healed.

17 П ервосвященник и все его приближенные, принадлежавшие к группе саддукеев, были переполнены завистью.

And having risen, the chief priest, and all those with him -- being the sect of the Sadducees -- were filled with zeal,

18 О ни арестовали апостолов и заключили их в народную тюрьму.

and laid their hands upon the apostles, and did put them in a public prison;

19 О днако ангел Господа ночью открыл ворота тюрьмы и вывел их.

and a messenger of the Lord through the night opened the doors of the prison, having also brought them forth, he said,

20 – Идите, станьте в храме, – сказал он, – и говорите людям все об этой новой жизни.

`Go on, and standing, speak in the temple to the people all the sayings of this life;'

21 О ни послушались и, придя рано утром в храм, начали учить. Когда прибыли первосвященник и его приближенные, они созвали Высший Совет и всех старейшин Израиля и послали в тюрьму за апостолами.

and having heard, they did enter at the dawn into the temple, and were teaching. And the chief priest having come, and those with him, they called together the sanhedrim and all the senate of the sons of Israel, and they sent to the prison to have them brought,

22 Н о когда стражники пришли в тюрьму, то не нашли их там и, возвратившись, доложили:

and the officers having come, did not find them in the prison, and having turned back, they told,

23 – Тюремные ворота надежно закрыты, у ворот стоит охрана, но когда мы вошли внутрь, мы никого там не нашли.

saying -- `The prison indeed we found shut in all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors, and having opened -- within we found no one.'

24 В ыслушав их, начальник храмовой стражи и первосвященники пришли в недоумение – что бы это значило?

And as the priest, and the magistrate of the temple, and the chief priests, heard these words, they were doubting concerning them to what this would come;

25 П отом кто-то пришел и сообщил им: – Люди, которых вы заключили в тюрьму, стоят в храме и учат народ.

and coming near, a certain one told them, saying -- `Lo, the men whom ye did put in the prison are in the temple standing and teaching the people;'

26 Т огда начальник стражи пошел со стражниками и привел апостолов. Они не применяли силу, потому что боялись, что народ может побить их камнями.

then the magistrate having gone away with officers, brought them without violence, for they were fearing the people, lest they should be stoned;

27 А постолов ввели и поставили перед Высшим Советом. Первосвященник сказал им:

and having brought them, they set in the sanhedrim, and the chief priest questioned them,

28 – Мы вам строго запретили учить от этого Имени, но вы весь Иерусалим наполнили своим учением и к тому же обвиняете нас в смерти Этого Человека.

saying, `Did not we strictly command you not to teach in this name? and lo, ye have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and ye intend to bring upon us the blood of this man.'

29 П етр и другие апостолы ответили: – Мы должны больше подчиняться Богу, чем людям!

And Peter and the apostles answering, said, `To obey God it behoveth, rather than men;

30 Б ог наших отцов воскресил Иисуса, Которого вы убили, повесив на дереве.

and the God of our fathers did raise up Jesus, whom ye slew, having hanged upon a tree;

31 Н о Бог вознес Его и посадил по правую руку от Себя как Вождя и Спасителя, чтобы дать Израилю возможность покаяния и прощения грехов.

this one God, a Prince and a Saviour, hath exalted with His right hand, to give reformation to Israel, and forgiveness of sins;

32 С видетели этому – мы и Святой Дух, Которого Бог дал тем, кто послушен Ему.

and we are His witnesses of these sayings, and the Holy Spirit also, whom God gave to those obeying him.'

33 К огда присутствующие услышали это, они пришли в ярость и хотели убить их.

And they having heard, were cut, and were taking counsel to slay them,

34 Н о тогда встал один из членов Высшего Совета, фарисей по имени Гамалиил, учитель Закона, уважаемый всем народом. Он велел вывести апостолов на некоторое время.

but a certain one, having risen up in the sanhedrim -- a Pharisee, by name Gamaliel, a teacher of law honoured by all the people -- commanded to put the apostles forth a little,

35 З атем он сказал: – Израильтяне, хорошо подумайте о том, что вы собираетесь сделать с этими людьми.

and said unto them, `Men, Israelites, take heed to yourselves about these men, what ye are about to do,

36 Н е так давно был здесь Февда, выдававший себя за кого-то великого. За ним пошло около четырехсот человек, но когда он был убит, то все его последователи разбежались, и все окончилось ничем.

for before these days rose up Theudas, saying, that himself was some one, to whom a number of men did join themselves, as it were four hundred, who was slain, and all, as many as were obeying him, were scattered, and came to nought.

37 П осле него был Иуда из Галилеи. Он появился во время переписи и увлек народ за собой. Он тоже погиб, и его последователи рассеялись.

`After this one rose up, Judas the Galilean, in the days of the enrollment, and drew away much people after him, and that one perished, and all, as many as were obeying him, were scattered;

38 П оэтому в данном случае вот вам мой совет: оставьте этих людей. Отпустите их. Если их начинание от людей, то оно обречено на провал.

and now I say to you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone, because if this counsel or this work may be of men, it will be overthrown,

39 Е сли же оно от Бога, то вы не сможете их остановить, а лишь сами окажетесь противниками Бога. Его речь убедила присутствующих.

and if it be of God, ye are not able to overthrow it, lest perhaps also ye be found fighting against God.'

40 О ни призвали апостолов и приказали их избить. Потом они еще раз запретили им говорить от Имени Иисуса и отпустили.

And to him they agreed, and having called near the apostles, having beaten, they commanded not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go;

41 А постолы вышли из Высшего Совета, радуясь тому, что они оказались достойными понести такое бесчестие ради Имени Иисуса.

they, indeed, then, departed from the presence of the sanhedrim, rejoicing that for his name they were counted worthy to suffer dishonour,

42 И каждый день в храме и по домам они продолжали учить и возвещать Радостную Весть о том, что Иисус – Христос.

every day also in the temple, and in every house, they were not ceasing teaching and proclaiming good news -- Jesus the Christ.
