1 В те дни Езекия заболел и был при смерти. Пророк Исаия, сын Амоца, пришел к нему и сказал: – Так говорит Господь: «Распорядись своим домом, потому что ты умираешь; ты не выздоровеешь».

In those days hath Hezekiah been sick unto death, and come unto him doth Isaiah son of Amoz the prophet, and saith unto him, `Thus said Jehovah: Give a charge to thy house, for thou art dying, and dost not live.'

2 Е зекия отвернулся лицом к стене и взмолился Господу:

And he turneth round his face unto the wall, and prayeth unto Jehovah, saying,

3 – Вспомни, о Господи, как я ходил пред Тобой в верности и от всего сердца и делал то, что было угодным в Твоих глазах! И Езекия горько заплакал.

`I pray Thee, O Jehovah, remember, I pray Thee, how I have walked habitually before Thee in truth, and with a perfect heart, and that which good in Thine eyes I have done;' and Hezekiah weepeth -- a great weeping.

4 П режде чем Исаия успел пройти средний двор, к нему было слово Господа:

And it cometh to pass -- Isaiah hath not gone out to the middle court -- that the word of Jehovah hath been unto him, saying,

5 – Возвратись и скажи Езекии, вождю Моего народа: «Так говорит Господь, Бог твоего предка Давида: Я услышал твою молитву и увидел твои слезы; Я исцелю тебя. На третий день ты пойдешь в дом Господа.

`Turn back, and thou hast said unto Hezekiah, leader of My people: Thus said Jehovah, God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tear, lo, I give healing to thee, on the third day thou dost go up to the house of Jehovah;

6 Я прибавлю к твоей жизни пятнадцать лет. Я избавлю тебя и этот город от руки царя Ассирии. Я защищу этот город ради Себя и ради Моего слуги Давида».

and I have added to thy days fifteen years, and out of the hand of the king of Asshur I deliver thee and this city, and have covered over this city for Mine own sake, and for the sake of David My servant.'

7 И саия сказал: – Сделайте царю пласт инжира. Они взяли, приложили его к нарыву, и царь выздоровел.

And Isaiah saith, `Take ye a cake of figs;' and they take and lay on the boil, and he reviveth.

8 Т огда Езекия спросил Исаию: – Каково знамение того, что Господь исцелит меня и я пойду на третий день в Господень дом?

And Hezekiah saith unto Isaiah, `What the sign that Jehovah doth give healing to me, that I have gone up on the third day to the house of Jehovah?'

9 И саия ответил: – Вот тебе знамение от Господа, что Господь исполнит то, что обещал: скажи, пройти ли тени десять ступенек вперед или отступить на десять ступенек назад?

And Isaiah saith, `This to thee the sign from Jehovah, that Jehovah doth the thing that He hath spoken -- The shadow hath gone on ten degrees, or it doth turn back ten degrees?'

10 – Тени легко пройти на десять ступенек вперед, – сказал Езекия. – Нет, пусть она отступит на десять ступенек назад.

And Hezekiah saith, `It hath been light for the shadow to incline ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow turn backward ten degrees.'

11 П ророк Исаия воззвал к Господу, и Господь отвел тень назад на те десять ступенек, что она спустилась по лестнице Ахаза. Немудрый поступок Езекии (Ис. 39: 1-8)

And Isaiah the prophet calleth unto Jehovah, and He bringeth back the shadow by the degrees that it had gone down in the degrees of Ahaz -- backward ten degrees.

12 В то время вавилонский царь Меродах-Баладан, сын Баладана, отправил Езекии письма и подарок, потому что услышал о его болезни.

At that time hath Berodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been sick;

13 Е зекия радушно принял послов и показал им все, что было у него в хранилищах – серебро, золото, пряности и драгоценные масла, – и свою оружейную, и все, что хранилось в его сокровищницах. Ни во дворце, ни во всем его царстве не осталось ничего такого, чего бы он им не показал.

and Hezekiah hearkeneth unto them, and sheweth them all the house of his treasury, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the good ointment, and all the house of his vessels, and all that hath been found in his treasuries; there hath not been a thing that Hezekiah hath not shewed them, in his house, and in all his dominion.

14 П ророк Исаия пришел к царю и спросил: – Что говорили эти люди и откуда они к тебе приходили? – Из далекой страны, – ответил Езекия. – Они приходили из Вавилона.

And Isaiah the prophet cometh in unto king Hezekiah, and saith unto him, `What said these men? and whence come they unto thee?' And Hezekiah saith, `From a land afar off they have come -- from Babylon.'

15 П ророк спросил: – Что они видели у тебя во дворце? – У меня во дворце они видели все, – ответил Езекия. – В моих сокровищницах нет ничего, чего бы я им не показал.

And he saith, `What saw they in thy house?' and Hezekiah saith, `All that in my house they saw; there hath not been a thing that I have not shewed them among my treasures.'

16 Т огда Исаия сказал Езекии: – Слушай слово Господа:

And Isaiah saith unto Hezekiah, `Hear a word of Jehovah:

17 « Непременно наступит время, когда все, что у тебя во дворце, и все, что накопили до сегодняшнего дня твои отцы, будет унесено в Вавилон. Не останется ничего, – говорит Господь. –

Lo, days are coming, and borne hath been all that in thy house, and that thy father have treasured up till this day, to Babylon; there is not left a thing, said Jehovah;

18 А некоторые из твоих потомков, которые родятся у тебя, твоя плоть и кровь, будут уведены и станут евнухами во дворце царя Вавилона».

and of thy sons who go out from thee, whom thou begettest, they take away, and they have been eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'

19 – Хорошо слово Господа, которое ты передал, – ответил Езекия и подумал: «Ну и что, раз в мои дни будут мир и безопасность?» Смерть Езекии (2 Пар. 32: 32-33)

And Hezekiah saith unto Isaiah, `Good the word of Jehovah that thou hast spoken;' and he saith, `Is it not -- if peace and truth are in my days?'

20 Ч то же до прочих событий правления Езекии, всех его свершений, включая то, как он сделал пруд и водопровод, по которому привел воду в город, то разве не записаны они в «Книге летописей царей Иудеи»?

And the rest of the matters of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and bringeth in the waters to the city, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

21 Е зекия упокоился со своими предками, и Манассия, его сын, стал царем вместо него.

And Hezekiah lieth with his fathers, and reign doth Manasseh his son in his stead.
