1 Б ог сказал такие слова:

`And God speaketh all these words, saying,

2 – Я – Господь, твой Бог, Который вывел тебя из Египта, земли рабства.

I Jehovah thy God, who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.

3 П усть не будет у тебя других богов кроме Меня.

`Thou hast no other Gods before Me.

4 Н е делай себе идола подобного тому, что на небе вверху, на земле внизу, или в водах ниже земли.

`Thou dost not make to thyself a graven image, or any likeness which in the heavens above, or which in the earth beneath, or which in the waters under the earth.

5 Н е поклоняйся им и не служи им, ведь Я, Господь, твой Бог – ревнивый Бог, наказывающий детей за грехи отцов до третьего и четвертого поколения тех, кто ненавидит Меня,

Thou dost not bow thyself to them, nor serve them: for I, Jehovah thy God, a zealous God, charging iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third, and on the fourth, of those hating Me,

6 н о являющий милость тысячам поколений тех, кто любит Меня и соблюдает Мои повеления.

and doing kindness to thousands, of those loving Me and keeping My commands.

7 Н е используй Имени Господа, твоего Бога, напрасно, потому что Господь не оставит безнаказанным никого, кто использует Его Имя напрасно.

`Thou dost not take up the name of Jehovah thy God for a vain thing, for Jehovah acquitteth not him who taketh up His name for a vain thing.

8 П омни субботний день и храни его святым.

`Remember the Sabbath-day to sanctify it;

9 Ш есть дней трудись и делай всю свою работу,

six days thou dost labour, and hast done all thy work,

10 н о седьмой день – это суббота Господу, твоему Богу. Не делай в этот день никакую работу – ни ты, ни твой сын или дочь, ни слуга или служанка, ни твой скот, ни чужеземец в твоих городах.

and the seventh day a Sabbath to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not do any work, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and thy cattle, and thy sojourner who is within thy gates, --

11 З а шесть дней Господь сотворил небеса и землю, море и все, что в них, а на седьмой отдыхал. Поэтому Господь благословил субботний день и освятил его.

for six days hath Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that in them, and resteth in the seventh day; therefore hath Jehovah blessed the Sabbath-day, and doth sanctify it.

12 П очитай своего отца и мать, чтобы тебе долго жить на земле, которую дает тебе Господь, твой Бог.

`Honour thy father and thy mother, so that thy days are prolonged on the ground which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.

13 Н е убивай.

`Thou dost not murder.

14 Н е нарушай супружескую верность.

`Thou dost not commit adultery.

15 Н е кради.

`Thou dost not steal.

16 Н е давай ложного свидетельства на другого.

`Thou dost not answer against thy neighbour a false testimony.

17 Н е желай дома ближнего твоего. Не желай жены твоего ближнего, его слуги или служанки, его вола или осла: ничего из того, что принадлежит ближнему твоему.

`Thou dost not desire the house of thy neighbour, thou dost not desire the wife of thy neighbour, or his man-servant, or his handmaid, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which thy neighbour's.'

18 К огда люди увидели гром и молнию, услышали звук рога и увидели гору в дыму, они задрожали от страха. Они встали поодаль

And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mount smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand afar off,

19 и сказали Моисею: – Говори с нами ты сам, а мы будем слушать. Пусть Бог не говорит с нами, иначе мы умрем.

and say unto Moses, `Speak thou with us, and we hear, and let not God speak with us, lest we die.'

20 М оисей сказал народу: – Не бойтесь. Бог пришел испытать вас, чтобы вы исполнились страха Божьего перед Ним и не грешили.

And Moses saith unto the people, `Fear not, for to try you hath God come, and in order that His fear may be before your faces -- that ye sin not.'

21 Н арод остался стоять поодаль, а Моисей приблизился к темному облаку, где был Бог. Закон о жертвеннике

And the people stand afar off, and Moses hath drawn nigh unto the thick darkness where God.

22 Г осподь сказал Моисею: – Скажи израильтянам: «Вы сами видели, что Я говорил с вами с небес:

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Thus dost thou say unto the sons of Israel: Ye -- ye have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you;

23 н е делайте себе серебряных или золотых богов и не поклоняйтесь им вместо Меня.

ye do not make with Me gods of silver, even gods of gold ye do not make to yourselves.

24 С делайте Мне жертвенник из земли и приносите на нем овец и волов в жертву всесожжения и в жертву примирения. На всяком месте, где Я повелю вам чтить Меня, Я приду к вам и благословлю вас.

`An altar of earth thou dost make for Me, and thou hast sacrificed on it thy burnt-offerings and thy peace-offerings, thy flock and thy herd; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered I come in unto thee, and have blessed thee.

25 Е сли станете делать Мне каменный жертвенник, не стройте его из тесаных камней. Вы оскверните его, прикоснувшись к нему резцом.

`And if an altar of stones thou dost make to Me, thou dost not build them of hewn work; when thy tool thou hast waved over it, then thou dost pollute it;

26 Н е поднимайтесь к Моему жертвеннику по ступеням, чтобы не открылась перед ним ваша нагота».

neither dost thou go up by steps on Mine altar, that thy nakedness be not revealed upon it.
