1 И изрек Бог все слова сии, говоря:

`And God speaketh all these words, saying,

2 Я Господь, Бог твой, Который вывел тебя из земли Египетской, из дома рабства;

I Jehovah thy God, who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.

3 д а не будет у тебя других богов пред лицем Моим.

`Thou hast no other Gods before Me.

4 Н е делай себе кумира и никакого изображения того, что на небе вверху, и что на земле внизу, и что в воде ниже земли;

`Thou dost not make to thyself a graven image, or any likeness which in the heavens above, or which in the earth beneath, or which in the waters under the earth.

5 н е поклоняйся им и не служи им, ибо Я Господь, Бог твой, Бог ревнитель, наказывающий детей за вину отцов до третьего и четвертого, ненавидящих Меня,

Thou dost not bow thyself to them, nor serve them: for I, Jehovah thy God, a zealous God, charging iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third, and on the fourth, of those hating Me,

6 и творящий милость до тысячи родов любящим Меня и соблюдающим заповеди Мои.

and doing kindness to thousands, of those loving Me and keeping My commands.

7 Н е произноси имени Господа, Бога твоего, напрасно, ибо Господь не оставит без наказания того, кто произносит имя Его напрасно.

`Thou dost not take up the name of Jehovah thy God for a vain thing, for Jehovah acquitteth not him who taketh up His name for a vain thing.

8 П омни день субботний, чтобы святить его;

`Remember the Sabbath-day to sanctify it;

9 ш есть дней работай и делай всякие дела твои,

six days thou dost labour, and hast done all thy work,

10 а день седьмой--суббота Господу, Богу твоему: не делай в оный никакого дела ни ты, ни сын твой, ни дочь твоя, ни раб твой, ни рабыня твоя, ни скот твой, ни пришлец, который в жилищах твоих;

and the seventh day a Sabbath to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not do any work, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and thy cattle, and thy sojourner who is within thy gates, --

11 и бо в шесть дней создал Господь небо и землю, море и все, что в них, а в день седьмой почил; посему благословил Господь день субботний и освятил его.

for six days hath Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that in them, and resteth in the seventh day; therefore hath Jehovah blessed the Sabbath-day, and doth sanctify it.

12 П очитай отца твоего и мать твою, чтобы продлились дни твои на земле, которую Господь, Бог твой, дает тебе.

`Honour thy father and thy mother, so that thy days are prolonged on the ground which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.

13 Н е убивай.

`Thou dost not murder.

14 Н е прелюбодействуй.

`Thou dost not commit adultery.

15 Н е кради.

`Thou dost not steal.

16 Н е произноси ложного свидетельства на ближнего твоего.

`Thou dost not answer against thy neighbour a false testimony.

17 Н е желай дома ближнего твоего; не желай жены ближнего твоего, ни раба его, ни рабыни его, ни вола его, ни осла его, ничего, что у ближнего твоего.

`Thou dost not desire the house of thy neighbour, thou dost not desire the wife of thy neighbour, or his man-servant, or his handmaid, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which thy neighbour's.'

18 В есь народ видел громы и пламя, и звук трубный, и гору дымящуюся; и увидев, народ отступил и стал вдали.

And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mount smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand afar off,

19 И сказали Моисею: говори ты с нами, и мы будем слушать, но чтобы не говорил с нами Бог, дабы нам не умереть.

and say unto Moses, `Speak thou with us, and we hear, and let not God speak with us, lest we die.'

20 И сказал Моисей народу: не бойтесь; Бог пришел, чтобы испытать вас и чтобы страх Его был пред лицем вашим, дабы вы не грешили.

And Moses saith unto the people, `Fear not, for to try you hath God come, and in order that His fear may be before your faces -- that ye sin not.'

21 И стоял народ вдали, а Моисей вступил во мрак, где Бог.

And the people stand afar off, and Moses hath drawn nigh unto the thick darkness where God.

22 И сказал Господь Моисею: так скажи сынам Израилевым: вы видели, как Я с неба говорил вам;

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Thus dost thou say unto the sons of Israel: Ye -- ye have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you;

23 н е делайте предо Мною богов серебряных, или богов золотых, не делайте себе:

ye do not make with Me gods of silver, even gods of gold ye do not make to yourselves.

24 с делай Мне жертвенник из земли и приноси на нем всесожжения твои и мирные жертвы твои, овец твоих и волов твоих; на всяком месте, где Я положу память имени Моего, Я приду к тебе и благословлю тебя;

`An altar of earth thou dost make for Me, and thou hast sacrificed on it thy burnt-offerings and thy peace-offerings, thy flock and thy herd; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered I come in unto thee, and have blessed thee.

25 е сли же будешь делать Мне жертвенник из камней, то не сооружай его из тесаных, ибо, как скоро наложишь на них тесло твое, то осквернишь их;

`And if an altar of stones thou dost make to Me, thou dost not build them of hewn work; when thy tool thou hast waved over it, then thou dost pollute it;

26 и не всходи по ступеням к жертвеннику Моему, дабы не открылась при нем нагота твоя.

neither dost thou go up by steps on Mine altar, that thy nakedness be not revealed upon it.
