1 К огда царь жил в доме своем, и Господь успокоил его от всех окрестных врагов его,

And it cometh to pass, when the king sat in his house, and Jehovah hath given rest to him round about, from all his enemies,

2 т огда сказал царь пророку Нафану: вот, я живу в доме кедровом, а ковчег Божий находится под шатром.

that the king saith unto Nathan the prophet, `See, I pray thee, I am dwelling in a house of cedars, and the ark of God is dwelling in the midst of the curtain.'

3 И сказал Нафан царю: все, что у тебя на сердце, иди, делай; ибо Господь с тобою.

And Nathan saith unto the king, `All that in thine heart -- go, do, for Jehovah with thee.'

4 Н о в ту же ночь было слово Господа к Нафану:

And it cometh to pass in that night, that the word of Jehovah is unto Nathan, saying,

5 п ойди, скажи рабу Моему Давиду: так говорит Господь: ты ли построишь Мне дом для Моего обитания,

`Go, and thou hast said unto My servant, unto David, Thus said Jehovah, Dost thou build for Me a house for My dwelling in?

6 к огда Я не жил в доме с того времени, как вывел сынов Израилевых из Египта, и до сего дня, но переходил в шатре и в скинии?

for I have not dwelt in a house even from the day of My bringing up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even unto this day, and am walking up and down in a tent and in a tabernacle.

7 Г де Я ни ходил со всеми сынами Израиля, говорил ли Я хотя слово какому-либо из колен, которому Я назначил пасти народ Мой Израиля: 'почему не построите Мне кедрового дома'?

During all that I have walked up and down among all the sons of Israel, a word have I spoken with one of the tribes of Israel which I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, `Why have ye not built to Me a house of cedars?

8 И теперь так скажи рабу Моему Давиду: так говорит Господь Саваоф: Я взял тебя от стада овец, чтобы ты был вождем народа Моего, Израиля;

and now, thus dost thou say to My servant, to David: `Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, I have taken thee from the comely place, from after the flock, to be leader over My people, over Israel;

9 и был с тобою везде, куда ни ходил ты, и истребил всех врагов твоих пред лицем твоим, и сделал имя твое великим, как имя великих на земле.

and I am with thee whithersoever thou hast gone, and I cut off all thine enemies from thy presence, and have made for thee a great name, as the name of the great ones who in the earth,

10 И Я устрою место для народа Моего, для Израиля, и укореню его, и будет он спокойно жить на месте своем, и не будет тревожиться больше, и люди нечестивые не станут более теснить его, как прежде,

and I have appointed a place for My people, for Israel, and have planted it, and it hath tabernacled in its place, and it is not troubled any more, and the sons of perverseness do not add to afflict it any more, as in the beginning,

11 с того времени, как Я поставил судей над народом Моим, Израилем; и Я успокою тебя от всех врагов твоих. И Господь возвещает тебе, что Он устроит тебе дом.

even from the day that I appointed judges over My people Israel; and I have given rest to thee from all thine enemies, and Jehovah hath declared to thee that Jehovah doth make for thee a house.

12 К огда же исполнятся дни твои, и ты почиешь с отцами твоими, то Я восставлю после тебя семя твое, которое произойдет из чресл твоих, и упрочу царство его.

`When thy days are full, and thou hast lain with thy fathers, then I have raised up thy seed after thee which goeth out from thy bowels, and have established his kingdom;

13 О н построит дом имени Моему, и Я утвержу престол царства его на веки.

He doth build a house for My Name, and I have established the throne of his kingdom unto the age.

14 Я буду ему отцом, и он будет Мне сыном; и если он согрешит, Я накажу его жезлом мужей и ударами сынов человеческих;

I am to him for a father, and he is to Me for a son; whom in his dealings perversely I have even reproved with a rod of men, and with strokes of the sons of Adam,

15 н о милости Моей не отниму от него, как Я отнял от Саула, которого Я отверг пред лицем твоим.

and My kindness doth not turn aside from him, as I turned it aside from Saul, whom I turned aside from before thee,

16 И будет непоколебим дом твой и царство твое на веки пред лицем Моим, и престол твой устоит во веки.

and stedfast thy house and thy kingdom unto the age before thee, thy throne is established unto the age.'

17 В се эти слова и все это видение Нафан пересказал Давиду.

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so spake Nathan unto David.

18 И пошел царь Давид, и предстал пред лицем Господа, и сказал: кто я, Господи, Господи, и что такое дом мой, что Ты меня так возвеличил!

And king David cometh in and sitteth before Jehovah, and saith, `Who I, Lord Jehovah? and what my house, that Thou hast brought me hitherto?

19 И этого еще мало показалось в очах Твоих, Господи мой, Господи; но Ты возвестил еще о доме раба Твоего вдаль. Это уже по-человечески. Господи мой, Господи!

And yet this little in Thine eyes, Lord Jehovah, and Thou dost speak also concerning the house of Thy servant afar off; and this the law of the Man, Lord Jehovah.

20 Ч то еще может сказать Тебе Давид? Ты знаешь раба Твоего, Господи мой, Господи!

And what doth David add more to speak unto Thee? and Thou, Thou hast known Thy servant, Lord Jehovah.

21 Р ади слова Твоего и по сердцу Твоему Ты делаешь это, открывая все это великое рабу Твоему.

Because of Thy word, and according to Thy heart, Thou hast done all this greatness, to cause Thy servant to know.

22 П о всему велик Ты, Господи мой, Господи! ибо нет подобного Тебе и нет Бога, кроме Тебя, по всему, что слышали мы своими ушами.

Therefore Thou hast been great, Jehovah God, for there is none like Thee, and there is no God save Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23 И кто подобен народу Твоему, Израилю, единственному народу на земле, для которого приходил Бог, чтобы приобрести Себе в народ и прославить Свое имя совершить великое и страшное пред народом Твоим, который Ты приобрел Себе от Египтян, изгнав народы и богов их?

`And who as Thy people, as Israel -- one nation in the earth, whom God hath gone to redeem to Him for a people, and to make for Him a name -- and to do for you the greatness -- even fearful things for Thy land, at the presence of Thy people, whom Thou hast redeemed to Thee out of Egypt -- nations and their gods?

24 И Ты укрепил за Собою народ Твой, Израиля, как собственный народ, на веки, и Ты, Господи, сделался его Богом.

Yea, Thou dost establish to Thee Thy people Israel, to Thee for a people unto the age, and Thou, Jehovah, hast been to them for God.

25 И ныне, Господи Боже, утверди на веки слово, которое изрек Ты о рабе Твоем и о доме его, и исполни то, что Ты изрек.

`And now, Jehovah God, the word which Thou hast spoken concerning Thy servant, and concerning his house, establish unto the age, and do as Thou hast spoken;

26 И да возвеличится имя Твое во веки, чтобы говорили: 'Господь Саваоф--Бог над Израилем'. И дом раба Твоего Давида да будет тверд пред лицем Твоим.

And Thy Name is great unto the age, saying, Jehovah of Hosts God over Israel, and the house of Thy servant David is established before Thee,

27 Т ак как ты, Господи Саваоф, Боже Израилев, открыл рабу Твоему, говоря: 'устрою тебе дом', то раб Твой уготовал сердце свое, чтобы молиться Тебе такою молитвою.

For Thou, Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Thou hast uncovered the ear of Thy servant, saying, A house I build for thee, therefore hath Thy servant found his heart to pray unto Thee this prayer;

28 И так, Господи мой, Господи! Ты Бог, и слова Твои непреложны, и Ты возвестил рабу Твоему такое благо!

And now, Lord Jehovah, Thou God Himself, and Thy words are truth, and Thou speakest unto Thy servant this goodness,

29 И ныне начни и благослови дом раба Твоего, чтоб он был вечно пред лицем Твоим, ибо Ты, Господи мой, Господи, возвестил это, и благословением Твоим соделается дом раба Твоего благословенным во веки.

And now, begin and bless the house of Thy servant, to be unto the age before Thee, for Thou, Lord Jehovah, hast spoken, and by Thy blessing is the house of Thy servant blessed -- to the age.'
