1 И отвечал Вилдад Савхеянин и сказал:

And Bildad the Shuhite answereth and saith: --

2 д ержава и страх у Него; Он творит мир на высотах Своих!

The rule and fear with Him, Making peace in His high places.

3 Е сть ли счет воинствам Его? и над кем не восходит свет Его?

Is their number to His troops? And on whom ariseth not His light?

4 И как человеку быть правым пред Богом, и как быть чистым рожденному женщиною?

And what? is man righteous with God? And what? is he pure -- born of a woman?

5 В от даже луна, и та несветла, и звезды нечисты пред очами Его.

Lo -- unto the moon, and it shineth not, And stars have not been pure in His eyes.

6 Т ем менее человек, есть червь, и сын человеческий, есть моль.

How much less man -- a grub, And the son of man -- a worm!
