1 С тарца не укоряй, но увещевай, как отца; младших, как братьев;

An aged person thou mayest not rebuke, but be entreating as a father; younger persons as brethren;

2 с тариц, как матерей; молодых, как сестер, со всякою чистотою.

aged women as mothers, younger ones as sisters -- in all purity;

3 В довиц почитай, истинных вдовиц.

honour widows who are really widows;

4 Е сли же какая вдовица имеет детей или внучат, то они прежде пусть учатся почитать свою семью и воздавать должное родителям, ибо сие угодно Богу.

and if any widow have children or grandchildren, let them learn first to their own house to show piety, and to give back a recompense to the parents, for this is right and acceptable before God.

5 И стинная вдовица и одинокая надеется на Бога и пребывает в молениях и молитвах день и ночь;

And she who is really a widow and desolate, hath hoped upon God, and doth remain in the supplications and in the prayers night and day,

6 а сластолюбивая заживо умерла.

and she who is given to luxury, living -- hath died;

7 И сие внушай им, чтобы были беспорочны.

and these things charge, that they may be blameless;

8 Е сли же кто о своих и особенно о домашних не печется, тот отрекся от веры и хуже неверного.

and if any one for his own -- and especially for those of the household -- doth not provide, the faith he hath denied, and than an unbeliever he is worse.

9 В довица должна быть избираема не менее, как шестидесятилетняя, бывшая женою одного мужа,

A widow -- let her not be enrolled under sixty years of age, having been a wife of one husband,

10 и звестная по добрым делам, если она воспитала детей, принимала странников, умывала ноги святым, помогала бедствующим и была усердна ко всякому доброму делу.

in good works being testified to: if she brought up children, if she entertained strangers, if saints' feet she washed, if those in tribulation she relieved, if every good work she followed after;

11 М олодых же вдовиц не принимай, ибо они, впадая в роскошь в противность Христу, желают вступать в брак.

and younger widows be refusing, for when they may revel against the Christ, they wish to marry,

12 О ни подлежат осуждению, потому что отвергли прежнюю веру;

having judgment, because the first faith they did cast away,

13 п ритом же они, будучи праздны, приучаются ходить по домам и не только праздны, но и болтливы, любопытны, и говорят, чего не должно.

and at the same time also, they learn idle, going about the houses; and not only idle, but also tattlers and busybodies, speaking the things they ought not;

14 И так я желаю, чтобы молодые вдовы вступали в брак, рождали детей, управляли домом и не подавали противнику никакого повода к злоречию;

I wish, therefore, younger ones to marry, to bear children, to be mistress of the house, to give no occasion to the opposer to reviling;

15 и бо некоторые уже совратились вслед сатаны.

for already certain did turn aside after the Adversary.

16 Е сли какой верный или верная имеет вдов, то должны их довольствовать и не обременять Церкви, чтобы она могла довольствовать истинных вдовиц.

If any believing man or believing woman have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the assembly be burdened, that those really widows it may relieve.

17 Д остойно начальствующим пресвитерам должно оказывать сугубую честь, особенно тем, которые трудятся в слове и учении.

The well-leading elders of double honour let them be counted worthy, especially those labouring in word and teaching,

18 И бо Писание говорит: не заграждай рта у вола молотящего; и: трудящийся достоин награды своей.

for the Writing saith, `An ox treading out thou shalt not muzzle,' and `Worthy the workman of his reward.'

19 О бвинение на пресвитера не иначе принимай, как при двух или трех свидетелях.

Against an elder an accusation receive not, except upon two or three witnesses.

20 С огрешающих обличай перед всеми, чтобы и прочие страх имели.

Those sinning, reprove before all, that the others also may have fear;

21 П ред Богом и Господом Иисусом Христом и избранными Ангелами заклинаю тебя сохранить сие без предубеждения, ничего не делая по пристрастию.

I testify fully, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the choice messengers, that these things thou mayest keep, without forejudging, doing nothing by partiality.

22 Р ук ни на кого не возлагай поспешно, и не делайся участником в чужих грехах. Храни себя чистым.

Be laying hands quickly on no one, nor be having fellowship with sins of others; be keeping thyself pure;

23 В предь пей не воду, но употребляй немного вина, ради желудка твоего и частых твоих недугов.

no longer be drinking water, but a little wine be using, because of thy stomach and of thine often infirmities;

24 Г рехи некоторых людей явны и прямо ведут к осуждению, а некоторых впоследствии.

of certain men the sins are manifest beforehand, leading before to judgment, and certain also they follow after;

25 Р авным образом и добрые дела явны; а если и не таковы, скрыться не могут.

in like manner also the right works are manifest beforehand, and those that are otherwise are not able to be hid.
