1 И сказал царь Давид всему собранию: Соломон, сын мой, которого одного избрал Бог, молод и малосилен, а дело сие велико, потому что не для человека здание сие, а для Господа Бога.

And David the king saith to all the assembly, `Solomon my son -- the one on whom God hath fixed -- young and tender, and the work great, for not for man is the palace, but for Jehovah God;

2 В семи силами я заготовил для дома Бога моего золото для золотых вещей и серебро для серебряных, и медь для медных, железо для железных, и дерева для деревянных, камни оникса и вставные, камни красивые и разноцветные, и всякие дорогие камни, и множество мрамора;

and with all my power I have prepared for the house of my God, the gold for gold, and the silver for silver, and the brass for brass, the iron for iron, and the wood for wood, shoham stones, and settings, and stones of painting and of diverse colours, and all precious stone, and stones of white marble, in abundance.

3 и еще по любви моей к дому Бога моего, есть у меня сокровище собственное из золота и серебра, я отдаю для дома Бога моего, сверх всего, что заготовил я для святого дома:

`And again, because of my delighting in the house of my God, the substance I have -- a peculiar treasure of gold and silver -- I have given for the house of my God, even over and above all I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary:

4 т ри тысячи талантов золота, золота Офирского, и семь тысяч талантов серебра чистого, для обложения стен в домах,

three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses,

5 д ля каждой из золотых вещей, и для каждой из серебряных, и для всякого изделия рук художнических. Не поусердствует ли кто жертвовать сегодня для Господа?

even gold for gold, and silver for silver, and for all the work by the hand of artificers; and who he that is offering willingly to consecrate his hand to-day to Jehovah?'

6 И стали жертвовать начальники семейств и начальники колен Израилевых, и начальники тысяч и сотен, и начальники над имениями царя.

And the heads of the fathers, and the heads of the tribes of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, even to the heads of the work of the king, offer willingly.

7 И дали на устроение дома Божия пять тысяч талантов и десять тысяч драхм золота, и серебра десять тысяч талантов, и меди восемнадцать тысяч талантов, и железа сто тысяч талантов.

And they give for the service of the house of God, of gold -- talents five thousand, and drams a myriad; and of silver -- talents ten thousand, and of brass -- a myriad and eight thousand talents; and of iron -- a hundred thousand talents;

8 И у кого нашлись камни, те отдавали и их в сокровищницу дома Господня, на руки Иехиилу Герсонитянину.

and he with whom stones are found hath given to the treasury of the house of Jehovah, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

9 И радовался народ усердию их, потому что они от всего сердца жертвовали Господу, также и царь Давид весьма радовался.

And the people rejoice because of their offering willingly, for with a perfect heart they have offered willingly to Jehovah; and also David the king hath rejoiced -- great joy.

10 И благословил Давид Господа пред всем собранием, и сказал Давид: благословен Ты, Господи Боже Израиля, отца нашего, от века и до века!

And David blesseth Jehovah before the eyes of all the assembly, and David saith, `Blessed Thou, Jehovah, God of Israel our father, from age even unto age.

11 Т вое, Господи, величие, и могущество, и слава, и победа и великолепие, и все, на небе и на земле,: Твое, Господи, царство, и Ты превыше всего, как Владычествующий.

To Thee, O Jehovah, the greatness, and the might, and the beauty, and the victory, and the honour, because of all in the heavens and in the earth; to Thee, O Jehovah, the kingdom, and he who is lifting up himself over all for head;

12 И богатство и слава от лица Твоего, и Ты владычествуешь над всем, и в руке Твоей сила и могущество, и во власти Твоей возвеличить и укрепить все.

and the riches, and the honour from before Thee, and Thou art ruling over all, and in Thy hand power and might, and in Thy hand, to make great, and to give strength to all.

13 И ныне, Боже наш, мы славословим Тебя и хвалим величественное имя Твое.

`And now, our God, we are giving thanks to Thee, and giving praise to Thy beauteous name;

14 И бо кто я и кто народ мой, что мы имели возможность так жертвовать? Но от Тебя все, и от руки Твоей мы отдали Тебе,

yea, because, who I, and who my people, that we retain power to offer thus willingly? but of Thee the whole, and out of Thy hand we have given to Thee;

15 п отому что странники мы пред Тобою и пришельцы, как и все отцы наши, как тень дни наши на земле, и нет ничего прочного.

for sojourners we before Thee, and settlers, like all our fathers; as a shadow our days on the land, and there is none abiding.

16 Г осподи Боже наш! все это множество, которое приготовили мы для построения дома Тебе, святому имени Твоему, от руки Твоей оно, и все Твое.

`O Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build to Thee a house, for Thy holy name, out of Thy hand, and of Thee the whole.

17 З наю, Боже мой, что Ты испытуешь сердце и любишь чистосердечие; я от чистого сердца моего пожертвовал все сие, и ныне вижу, что и народ Твой, здесь находящийся, с радостью жертвует Тебе.

`And I have known, my God, that Thou art trying the heart, and uprightness dost desire; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these: and now, Thy people who are found here I have seen with joy to offer willingly to Thee.

18 Г осподи, Боже Авраама, Исаака и Израиля, отцов наших! сохрани сие навек, расположение мыслей сердца народа Твоего, и направь сердце их к Тебе.

`O Jehovah, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this to the age for the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Thy people, and prepare their heart unto Thee;

19 С оломону же, сыну моему, дай сердце правое, чтобы соблюдать заповеди Твои, откровения Твои и уставы Твои, и исполнить все это и построить здание, для которого я сделал приготовление.

and to Solomon my son give a perfect heart, to keep Thy commands, Thy testimonies, and Thy statutes, and to do the whole, even to build the palace which I have prepared.'

20 И сказал Давид всему собранию: благословите Господа Бога нашего. --И благословило все собрание Господа Бога отцов своих, и пало, и поклонилось Господу и царю.

And David saith to all the assembly, `Bless, I pray you, Jehovah your God;' and all the assembly bless Jehovah, God of their fathers, and bow and do obeisance to Jehovah, and to the king.

21 И принесли Господу жертвы, и вознесли всесожжения Господу, на другой после сего день: тысячу тельцов, тысячу овнов, тысячу агнцев с их возлияниями, и множество жертв от всего Израиля.

And they sacrifice to Jehovah sacrifices, and cause to ascend burnt-offerings to Jehovah on the morrow of that day, bullocks a thousand, rams a thousand, lambs a thousand, and their oblations, even sacrifices in abundance, for all Israel.

22 И ели и пили пред Господом в тот день, с великою радостью; и в другой раз воцарили Соломона, сына Давидова, и помазали пред Господом в правителя верховного, а Садока во священника.

And they eat and drink before Jehovah on that day with great joy, and cause Solomon son of David to reign a second time, and anoint before Jehovah for leader, and Zadok for priest.

23 И сел Соломон на престоле Господнем, как царь, вместо Давида, отца своего, и был благоуспешен, и весь Израиль повиновался ему.

And Solomon sitteth on the throne of Jehovah for king instead of David his father, and prospereth, and all Israel hearken unto him,

24 И все начальники и сильные, также и все сыновья царя Давида подчинились Соломону царю.

and all the heads, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David have given a hand under Solomon the king;

25 И возвеличил Господь Соломона пред очами всего Израиля, и даровал ему славу царства, какой не имел прежде его ни один царь у Израиля.

and Jehovah maketh Solomon exceedingly great before the eyes of all Israel, and putteth upon him the honour of the kingdom that hath not been on any king over Israel before him.

26 И Давид, сын Иессеев, царствовал над всем Израилем.

And David son of Jesse hath reigned over all Israel,

27 В ремени царствования его над Израилем сорок лет: в Хевроне царствовал он семь лет, и в Иерусалиме царствовал тридцать три.

and the days that he hath reigned over Israel forty years; in Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three;

28 И умер в доброй старости, насыщенный жизнью, богатством и славою; и воцарился Соломон, сын его, вместо него.

and he dieth in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches, and honour, and reign doth Solomon his son in his stead.

29 Д ела царя Давида, первые и последние, описаны в записях Самуила провидца и в записях Нафана пророка и в записях Гада прозорливца,

And the matters of David the king, the first and the last, lo, they are written beside the matters of Samuel the seer, and beside the matters of Nathan the prophet, and beside the matters of Gad the seer,

30 р авно и все царствование его, и мужество его, и происшествия, случившиеся с ним и с Израилем и со всеми земными царствами.

with all his reign, and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all kingdoms of the lands.
