1 И так заклинаю тебя пред Богом и Господом нашим Иисусом Христом, Который будет судить живых и мертвых в явление Его и Царствие Его:

I do fully testify, then, before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge living and dead at his manifestation and his reign --

2 п роповедуй слово, настой во время и не во время, обличай, запрещай, увещевай со всяким долготерпением и назиданием.

preach the word; be earnest in season, out of season, convict, rebuke, exhort, in all long-suffering and teaching,

3 И бо будет время, когда здравого учения принимать не будут, но по своим прихотям будут избирать себе учителей, которые льстили бы слуху;

for there shall be a season when the sound teaching they will not suffer, but according to their own desires to themselves they shall heap up teachers -- itching in the hearing,

4 и от истины отвратят слух и обратятся к басням.

and indeed, from the truth the hearing they shall turn away, and to the fables they shall be turned aside.

5 Н о ты будь бдителен во всем, переноси скорби, совершай дело благовестника, исполняй служение твое.

And thou -- watch in all things; suffer evil; do the work of one proclaiming good news; of thy ministration make full assurance,

6 И бо я уже становлюсь жертвою, и время моего отшествия настало.

for I am already being poured out, and the time of my release hath arrived;

7 П одвигом добрым я подвизался, течение совершил, веру сохранил;

the good strife I have striven, the course I have finished, the faith I have kept,

8 а теперь готовится мне венец правды, который даст мне Господь, праведный Судия, в день оный; и не только мне, но и всем, возлюбившим явление Его.

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of the righteousness that the Lord -- the Righteous Judge -- shall give to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those loving his manifestation.

9 П остарайся придти ко мне скоро.

Be diligent to come unto me quickly,

10 И бо Димас оставил меня, возлюбив нынешний век, и пошел в Фессалонику, Крискент в Галатию, Тит в Далматию; один Лука со мною.

for Demas forsook me, having loved the present age, and went on to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia,

11 М арка возьми и приведи с собою, ибо он мне нужен для служения.

Lukas only is with me; Markus having taken, bring with thyself, for he is profitable to me for ministration;

12 Т ихика я послал в Ефес.

and Tychicus I sent to Ephesus;

13 К огда пойдешь, принеси фелонь, который я оставил в Троаде у Карпа, и книги, особенно кожаные.

the cloak that I left in Troas with Carpus, coming, bring thou and the books -- especially the parchments.

14 А лександр медник много сделал мне зла. Да воздаст ему Господь по делам его!

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; may the Lord repay to him according to his works,

15 Б ерегись его и ты, ибо он сильно противился нашим словам.

of whom also do thou beware, for greatly hath he stood against our words;

16 П ри первом моем ответе никого не было со мною, но все меня оставили. Да не вменится им!

in my first defence no one stood with me, but all forsook me, (may it not be reckoned to them!)

17 Г осподь же предстал мне и укрепил меня, дабы через меня утвердилось благовестие и услышали все язычники; и я избавился из львиных челюстей.

and the Lord stood by me, and did strengthen me, that through me the preaching might be fully assured, and all the nations might hear, and I was freed out of the mouth of a lion,

18 И избавит меня Господь от всякого злого дела и сохранит для Своего Небесного Царства, Ему слава во веки веков. Аминь.

and the Lord shall free me from every evil work, and shall save -- to his heavenly kingdom; to whom the glory to the ages of the ages! Amen.

19 П риветствуй Прискиллу и Акилу и дом Онисифоров.

Salute Prisca and Aquilas, and Onesiphorus' household;

20 Е раст остался в Коринфе; Трофима же я оставил больного в Милите.

Erastus did remain in Corinth, and Trophimus I left in Miletus infirm;

21 П остарайся придти до зимы. Приветствуют тебя Еввул, и Пуд, и Лин, и Клавдия, и все братия.

be diligent to come before winter. Salute thee doth Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

22 Г осподь Иисус Христос со духом твоим. Благодать с вами. Аминь.

The Lord Jesus Christ with thy spirit; the grace with you! Amen.
