1 З аръчвам ти пред Бога и пред Христа Исуса, Който ще съди живите и мъртвите, и пред вид на явлението Му и царуването му:

I do fully testify, then, before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge living and dead at his manifestation and his reign --

2 п роповядвай словото, настоявай на време и без време, изобличавай, порицавай, увещавай с голямо търпение и непрестанно поучаване.

preach the word; be earnest in season, out of season, convict, rebuke, exhort, in all long-suffering and teaching,

3 З ащото ще дойде време, когато няма да търпят здравото учение; но, понеже ги сърбят ушите, ще си насъберат учители по своите страсти,

for there shall be a season when the sound teaching they will not suffer, but according to their own desires to themselves they shall heap up teachers -- itching in the hearing,

4 и , като отвърнат ушите си от истината, ще се обърнат към басните.

and indeed, from the truth the hearing they shall turn away, and to the fables they shall be turned aside.

5 Н о бъди разбран във всичко, понеси страдание, извърши делото на благовестител, изпълнявай службата си.

And thou -- watch in all things; suffer evil; do the work of one proclaiming good news; of thy ministration make full assurance,

6 З ащото аз вече ставам принос, и времето за отиването ми настава.

for I am already being poured out, and the time of my release hath arrived;

7 А з се подвизах в доброто воинствуване, попрището свърших, вярата упазих;

the good strife I have striven, the course I have finished, the faith I have kept,

8 о тсега нататък се пази за мене венецът (правдата), който Господ, праведния Съдия, ще ми въздаде в оня ден; и не само на мене,но и на всички, които са обикнали Неговото явление.

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of the righteousness that the Lord -- the Righteous Judge -- shall give to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those loving his manifestation.

9 П остарай се да дойдеш скоро при мене;

Be diligent to come unto me quickly,

10 З ащото Димас ме остави, като обикна сегашния свят; той отиде в Солун, Крискент в Галатия, а Тит в Далмация.

for Demas forsook me, having loved the present age, and went on to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia,

11 С амо Лука е при мене. Вземи Марка и го доведи със себе си, защото ми е полезен в службата.

Lukas only is with me; Markus having taken, bring with thyself, for he is profitable to me for ministration;

12 А Тихика прати в Ефес.

and Tychicus I sent to Ephesus;

13 К огато дойдеш, донеси япунджака, който съм оставил в Троада при Карпа, и книгите, а особено пергаментите.

the cloak that I left in Troas with Carpus, coming, bring thou and the books -- especially the parchments.

14 М едникарят Александър ми стори много зло; Господ ще му върне по делата му;

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; may the Lord repay to him according to his works,

15 о т когото и ти се пази, защото той много се противи на нашите думи.

of whom also do thou beware, for greatly hath he stood against our words;

16 П ри първата ми защита никой не взе моя страна, но всичките ме оставиха; дано не им се счете това за грях.

in my first defence no one stood with me, but all forsook me, (may it not be reckoned to them!)

17 Н о Господ беше с мене и това ме укрепи, за да се прогласи напълно посланието чрез мене, и да чуят всички езичници; и аз бях избавен от лъвови уста.

and the Lord stood by me, and did strengthen me, that through me the preaching might be fully assured, and all the nations might hear, and I was freed out of the mouth of a lion,

18 Г оспод ще ме избави от всяко дело на лукавия и ще ме спаси и въведе в небесното Си царство; Комуто да бъде славата във вечни векове. Амин.

and the Lord shall free me from every evil work, and shall save -- to his heavenly kingdom; to whom the glory to the ages of the ages! Amen.

20 Е раст остана в Коринт, а Трофима оставиха болен Милит.

Erastus did remain in Corinth, and Trophimus I left in Miletus infirm;

21 П остарай се да дойдеш преди зимата. Поздравяват те Евул, Пуд, Лик, Клавдия и всички братя.

be diligent to come before winter. Salute thee doth Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

22 Г оспод да бъде с твоя дух. Благодат да бъде с вас..

The Lord Jesus Christ with thy spirit; the grace with you! Amen.
