1 Е зекия беше двадесет и пет години на възраст когато се възцари, и царува двадесет и девет години в Ерусалим; а името на майка му беше Авия, Захариева дъщеря.

Hezekiah hath reigned -- a son of twenty and five years, and twenty and nine years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Abijah daughter of Zechariah;

2 Т ой върши това, което бе право пред Господа, напълно както извърши баща му Давид.

and he doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that David his father did.

3 В първия месец от първата година на царуването си той отвори вратата на Господния дом и ги поправи.

He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, hath opened the doors of the house of Jehovah, and strengtheneth them,

4 И като доведе свещениците и левитите, събра ги на източния площад и рече им:

and bringeth in the priests and the Levites, and gathereth them to the broad place to the east.

5 С лушайте ме, левити, осветете се сега, осветете и храма на Господа Бога на бащите си, и изнесете нечистотата от светото място.

And he saith to them, `Hear me, O Levites, now, sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Jehovah, God of your fathers, and bring out the impurity from the sanctuary,

6 З ащото бащите ни са отстъпили, сторили са зло пред Господа нашия Бог, оставили са Го и са отвърнали лицата си от Господното обиталище, и са обърнали гръб;

for our fathers have trespassed, and done that which is evil in the eyes of Jehovah our God, and forsake him, and turn round their faces from the tabernacle of Jehovah, and give the neck.

7 т е са затворили вратите на предхрамието и са изгасили светилниците, а не са кадили темян нито пренасяли всеизгаряния в светото място на Израилевия Бог.

`Also -- they have shut the doors of the porch, and quench the lamps, and perfume they have not made, and burnt-offering have not caused to ascend in the sanctuary to the God of Israel,

8 З атова гняв от Господа е бил върху Юда и Ерусалим, и Той ги предаде да бъдат тласкани, и да бъдат предмет на учудване и на съскане, както виждате с очите си.

and the wrath of Jehovah is on Judah and Jerusalem, and He giveth them for a trembling, for an astonishment, and for a hissing, as ye are seeing with your eyes.

9 З ащото, ето, бащите ни са паднали от нож, а синовете ни, дъщерите ни и жените ни са поради това в плен.

And lo, fallen have our fathers by the sword, and our sons, and our daughters, and our wives in captivity for this.

10 С ега, прочее, имам сърдечно желание да направим завет с Господа Израилевия Бог, за да отвърне от нас яростния Си гняв.

`Now -- with my heart -- to make a covenant before Jehovah, God of Israel, and the fierceness of His anger doth turn back from us.

11 Ч ада мои, не бивайте сега небрежни; защото вас е избрал Господ да стоите пред Него, да му служите, да сте пред Него, да му служите, да сте Му служители и да кадите.

My sons, be not now at rest, for on you hath Jehovah fixed to stand before Him, to serve Him, and to be to Him ministering and making perfume.'

12 Т огава станаха левитите: Маат Амасаевият син и Иоил Азариевият син, от Каатовите потомци; а от Мерариевите потомци, Кис Авдиевият син и Азария Ялелеиловият син; от Герсоновците, Иоах Земовият син и Един Иоаховият син;

And the Levites rise -- Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathite; and of the sons of Merari: Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehalelel; and of the Gershonite: Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;

13 о т Елисафановите потомци, Симрий и Еиил; от Асафовите потомци, Захария и Матания;

and of the sons of Elizaphan: Shimri, and Jeiel; and of the sons of Asaph: Zechariah and Mattaniah;

14 о т Емановите потомци, Ехиил и Семей; а от Едутуновие потомци, Семаия и Озиил;

and of the sons of Heman: Jehiel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun: Shemaiah and Uzziel --

15 и те, като събраха братята си та се осветиха, влязоха според царската заповед, съгласно Господното слово, да очистят Господния дом.

and they gather their brethren, and sanctify themselves, and come in, according to the command of the king in the matters of Jehovah, to cleanse the house of Jehovah,

16 С вещениците влязоха в по-вътрешната част на Господния дом, за да я очистят, и изнесоха в двора на Господния дим всичката нечистота, която намериха в Господния храм; а левитите взеха та я изнесоха вън в потока Кедрон.

and the priests come in to the inner part of the house of Jehovah to cleanse, and bring out all the uncleanness that they have found in the temple of Jehovah to the court of the house of Jehovah, and the Levites receive, to take out to the brook Kidron without.

17 Н а първия ден от първия месец почнаха да освещават, а на осмия ден от месеца стигнаха до Господния трем; и за осем дни осветиха Господния дом, и на шестнадесетия ден от първия месец свършиха.

And they begin on the first of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month they have come to the porch of Jehovah, and they sanctify the house of Jehovah in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they have finished.

18 Т огава влязоха в двореца при цар Езекия и рекоха: Очистихме изцяло Господния дом, олтара за всеизгарянето с всичките му прибори и трапезата за присъствените хлябове с всичките й прибори;

And they come in within unto Hezekiah the king, and say, `We have cleansed all the house of Jehovah, and the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and the table of the arrangement, and all its vessels,

19 п ри това, приготвихме и осветихме всичките вещи, които цар Ахаз, в царуването си, оскверни когато отстъпи: и ето ги пред Господния олтар.

and all the vessels that king Ahaz cast away in his reign -- in his trespass -- we have prepared and sanctified, and lo, they before the altar of Jehovah.'

20 Т огава цар Езекия стана рано, и като събра градските първенци, възлезе в Господния дом.

And Hezekiah the king riseth early, and gathereth the heads of the city, and goeth up to the house of Jehovah;

21 И докараха седем юнеца, седем овена, седем агнета и седем козела в принос за грях за царството, за светилището и за Юда; и той заповяда на свещениците, Аароновите потомци, да ги принесат на Господния олтар.

and they bring in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven young he-goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah; and he saith to sons of Aaron, the priests, to cause to ascend on the altar of Jehovah.

22 И тъй, те заклаха юнците, и свещениците, като взеха кръвта, попръскаха я по олтара, заклаха и овните и попръскаха кравта им по олтара; тоже и агнетата заклаха и попръскаха кръвта им по олтара.

And they slaughter the oxen, and the priests receive the blood, and sprinkle on the altar; and they slaughter the rams, and sprinkle the blood on the altar; and they slaughter the lambs, and sprinkle the blood on the altar;

23 С етне преведоха козлите, които бяха в принос за грях, пред царя и събранието; и те положиха ръцете си на тях;

and they bring nigh the he-goats of the sin-offering before the king and the assembly, and they lay their hands upon them;

24 т огава свещениците ги заклаха и попръскаха кръвта им по олтара в принос за грях, за да направят умилостивение за целия Израил; защото царят заповяда, щото всеизгарянето и приноса за грях да станат за целия Израил.

and the priests slaughter them, and make a sin-offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel, for `For all Israel,' said the king, ` the burnt-offering and the sin-offering.'

25 И той постави левитите в Господния дом с кимвали, с псалтири и с арфи, според заповедта на Давида и на царевия гледач Гад и на пророк Натана; защото заповедта бе от Господа чрез пророците Му.

And he appointeth the Levites in the house of Jehovah with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, by the command of David, and of Gad, seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, for by the hand of Jehovah the command, by the hand of His prophets;

26 И левитите стояха с Давидовите музикални инструменти, а свещениците с тръбите.

and the Levites stand with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.

27 Т огава Езекия заповяда да принесат всеизгарянето на олтара. И когато почна всеизгарянето, почна и пеенето Господу с тръбите и с инструментите на Израилевия цар Давида.

And Hezekiah saith to cause the burnt-offering to ascend on the altar; and at the time the burnt-offering began -- began the song of Jehovah, and the trumpets, even by the hands of the instruments of David king of Israel.

28 А цялото събрание се кланяше, и певците пееха, и тръбите свиреха непрекъснато докле се извърши всеизгарянето.

And all the assembly are doing obeisance, and the singers singing, and the trumpeters blowing; the whole till the completion of the burnt-offering.

29 И като свършиха принасянето царят и всички, които присъствуваха с него, коленичиха и се поклониха.

And at the completion of the offering up bowed have the king and all those found with him, and do obeisance.

30 Т огава цар Езекия и първенците заповядаха на левитите да славословят Господа с думите на Давида и на гледача Асаф. И те пееха с веселие; и наведоха се та се поклониха.

And Hezekiah the king saith, and the princes, to the Levites to give praise to Jehovah in the words of David, and of Asaph the seer, and they praise -- unto joy, and they bow, and do obeisance.

31 С лед това, Езекия проговаряйки, каза: Сега, като сте се осветили Господу, пристъпете та принесете жертви и благодарителни приноси в Господния дом. И така, обществото принесе жертви и благодарителни приноси; и всеки, който имаше сърдечно съизволение, принесе и всеизгаряне.

And Hezekiah answereth and saith, `Now ye have filled your hand to Jehovah, come nigh, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings to the house of Jehovah;' and the assembly bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings, and every willing-hearted one -- burnt-offerings.

32 И числото на всеизгарянията, които обществото принесе, възлезе на седемдесет юнеца, сто овена и двеста агнета; всички тия бяха за всеизгаряния Господу;

And the number of the burnt-offerings that the assembly have brought in, is seventy oxen, a hundred rams, lambs two hundred; for a burnt-offering to Jehovah all these.

33 а посветените животни бяха шестстотин говеда и три хиляди овце.

And the sanctified things oxen six hundred, and sheep three thousand.

34 С вещениците, обаче, бяха малцина, и не можеха да одерат всичките всеизгаряния; затова, братята им, левитите им, помогнаха докле се свърши работата и докле се осветиха свещениците; защото левитите показаха повече сърдечна правота да се освещават отколкото свещениците.

Only, the priests have become few, and have not been able to strip the whole of the burnt-offerings, and their brethren the Levites strengthen them till the completion of the work, and till the priests sanctify themselves, for the Levites more upright of heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

35 А пък всеизгарянията бяха много, заедно с тлъстината на примирителните приноси и с всеизгарянията на всяко всеизгаряне. Така се възстанови службата на Господния дом.

And also, burnt-offerings in abundance, with fat of the peace-offerings, and with oblations for the burnt-offering; and the service of the house of Jehovah is established,

36 И Езекия и всичките люде се радваха за гдето Бог беше предразположил людете; понеже това нещо стана ненадейно.

and rejoice doth Hezekiah and all the people, because of God's giving preparation to the people, for the thing hath been suddenly.
