1 С лед това Господ говори на Моисея, казвайки:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 В ъздай на мадиамците за израилтяните, и след това ще се прибереш при людете си.

`Execute the vengeance of the sons of Israel against the Midianites -- afterwards thou art gathered unto thy people.'

3 М оисей, прочее, говори на людете, казвайки: Нека се въоръжат от вас мъже за бой и нека отидат против Мадиама за да извършат въздаяние върху Мадиама за Господа.

And Moses speaketh unto the people, saying, `Be ye armed some of you for the host, and they are against Midian, to put the vengeance of Jehovah on Midian;

4 П о хиляда души от всяко племе от всичките Израилеви племена да изпратите на войната.

a thousand for a tribe -- a thousand for a tribe, to all the tribes of Israel -- ye do send to the host.'

5 И така, от Израилевите хиляди се преброиха по хиляда души от всяко племе, дванадесет хиляди души, въоръжени, за бой.

And there are given out of the thousands of Israel a thousand for a tribe, twelve thousand armed ones of the host;

6 И Моисей ги изпрати на войната, по хиляда души от всяко племе, тях и Финееса, сина на свещеника Елеазара, със светите вещи и с тръбите за тревога в ръцете му.

and Moses sendeth them, a thousand for a tribe, to the host, them and Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, to the host; and the holy vessels, and the trumpets of the shouting, in his hand.

7 Т е воюваха против Мадиама според както Господ заповяда на Моисея, и убиха всяко мъжко.

And they war against Midian, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses, and slay every male;

8 И между убитите убиха и мадиамските царе: Евия, Рекема, Сура, Ура и Рава, петима мадиамски царе; убиха с нож и Валаама Веоровия син.

and the kings of Midian they have slain, besides their pierced ones, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian; and Balaam son of Beor, they have slain with the sword.

9 А израилтяните плениха жените на мадиамците, децата им, всичкия им добитък и всичките им стада; и разграбиха всичкия им имот.

And the sons of Israel take captive the women of Midian, and their infants; and all their cattle, and all their substance, and all their wealth they have plundered;

10 А всичките им градове, в местата населени от тях, и всичките им станове изгориха с огън.

and all their cities, with their habitations, and all their towers, they have burnt with fire.

11 И взеха всичките користи и всичкото плячка, и човек и животно.

And they take all the spoil, and all the prey, among man and among beast;

12 И докараха пленниците, плячката и користите на Моисея, на свещеника Елеазар и на обществото израилтяни в стана, на моавските полета при Иордан, срещу Ерихон.

and they bring in, unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the company of the sons of Israel, the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto the camp, unto the plains of Moab, which by Jordan, Jericho.

13 Т огава Моисей, свещеникът Елеазар и всичките първенци на обществото излязоха да ги посрещнат вън от стана.

And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the company, go out to meet them, unto the outside of the camp,

14 Н о Моисей се разгневи на военачалниците, на хилядниците и на стотниците, които се връщаха от военния поход;

and Moses is wroth against the inspectors of the force, chiefs of the thousands, and chiefs of the hundreds, who are coming in from the host of the battle.

15 и Моисей им рече: Оставихте ли живи всичките жени?

And Moses saith unto them, `Have ye kept alive every female?

16 Е то, те, по съвета на Валаама, накараха израилтяните да беззаконствуват против Господа в делото на Фегора, тъй че язвата се яви всред Господното общество.

lo, they -- they have been to the sons of Israel, through the word of Balaam, to cause a trespass against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and the plague is in the company of Jehovah.

17 З а това, убийте сега всичките мъжки от децата, и убийте всяка жена, която е познала мъж, като е лежала с него.

`And now, slay ye every male among the infants, yea, every woman known of man by the lying of a male ye have slain;

18 А всичките момичета, които не са познали мъж, които не са лежали с такъв, оставете живи за себе си.

and all the infants among the women, who have not known the lying of a male, ye have kept alive for yourselves.

19 И вие останете вън от стана седем дена; вие и пленниците ви, всеки от вас, който е убил човек, и който се е допрял до убит, очистете се на третия ден и на седмия ден;

`And ye, encamp ye at the outside of the camp seven days -- any who hath slain a person, and any who hath come against a pierced one, ye cleanse yourselves on the third day, and on the seventh day -- ye and your captives;

20 о чистете и всичките дрехи, всичките кожени вещи, и всичко, което е направено от козина, и всичките дървени съдове..

and every garment, and every skin vessel, and every work of goats', and every wooden vessel, ye yourselves cleanse.'

21 С ъщо и свещеник Елеазар рече на войниците, които бяха ходили на война: Това е повелението, което Господ заповяда на Моисея като закон.

And Eleazar the priest saith unto the men of the host who go in to battle, `This the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded Moses:

22 С амо че златото, среброто, медта, желязото, оловото и калая,

only, the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

23 в сичко, което може да устои на огън, прекарайте през огън, и ще бъде чисто; обаче, трябва да се очисти и с очистителна вода; и всичко що не може да устои на огън прекарай през вода.

every thing which may go into fire, ye cause to pass over through fire, and it hath been clean; only, with the water of separation it is cleansed, and all that may not go into fire, ye cause to pass over through water;

24 Т огава на седмия ден да изперете дрехите си, и ще бъдете чисти; и подир това да влезете в стана.

and ye have washed your garments on the seventh day, and have been clean, and afterwards ye come in unto the camp.'

25 И Господ говори на Моисея, казвайки:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

26 Т и и свещеникът Елеазар и началниците на бащините домове от обществото пребройте плячката и пленниците, и човек и животно,

`Take up the sum of the prey of the captives, among man and among beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers of the company;

27 и раздели плячката на две, между войниците, между войниците, които ходиха на война и цялото общество.

and thou hast halved the prey between those handling the battle who go out to the host and all the company;

28 О т дела на войниците, които ходиха на бой, отдели като данък за Господа то една душа от петстотин - от човеци, от говеда, от осли и от овци;

and thou hast raised a tribute to Jehovah from the men of war, who go out to the host, one body out of five hundred, of man, and of the herd, and of the asses, and of the flock;

29 о т тяхната половина да вземеш това и да го дадеш на свещеника Елеазара, като възвишаем принос Господу.

from their half ye do take, and thou hast given to Eleazar the priest -- the heave-offering of Jehovah.

30 А от половината, която се дава на израилтяните, да вземеш по един дял от петдесет - от човеци, от говеда, от осли и от овци - от всеки добитък, - и да ги дадеш на лавитите, които пазят заръчаното за Господната скиния.

`And from the sons of Israel's half thou dost take one possession out of fifty, of man, of the herd, of the asses, and of the flock, of all the cattle, and thou hast given them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah.'

31 И тъй Моисей и свещеникът Елеазар сториха, според както Господ заповяда на Моисея.

And Moses doth -- Eleazar the priest also -- as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

32 А плячката, то ест, това, което остана в плен, което войниците заплениха, беше: овци, шестстотин седемдесет и пет хиляди;

And the prey, the residue of the spoil which the people of the host have spoiled, is of the flock six hundred thousand, and seventy thousand, and five thousand;

33 г оведа, седемдесет и две хиляди:

and of the herd two and seventy thousand;

34 о сли, шестдесет и една хиляда

and of asses one and sixty thousand;

35 и човеци - жени, които не бяха познали мъж, чрез лягане с такъв - всичко тридесет и две хиляди души.

and of human beings -- of the women who have not known the lying of a male -- all the persons two and thirty thousand.

36 П оловината, делът на ония, които бяха ходили на бой, беше на брой: овци, триста и тридесет и седем хиляди и петстотин;

And the half -- the portion of those who go out into the host -- the number of the flock is three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, and seven thousand and five hundred.

37 а данъкът за Господа от овците беше шестстотин седемдесет и пет;

And the tribute to Jehovah of the sheep is six hundred five and seventy;

38 г оведата бяха тридесет и шест хиляди, от които данъкът за Господа беше седемдесет и две;

and the herd six and thirty thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah two and seventy;

39 о слите бяха тридесет хиляди и петстотин, от които данъкът за Господа беше шестдесет и един;

and the asses thirty thousand and five hundred, and their tribute to Jehovah one and sixty;

40 и човеците бяха шестнадесет хиляди, от които данъкът за Господа беше тридесет и двама души,

and the human beings sixteen thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah two and thirty persons.

41 И Моисей даде данъка, като възвишаем принос Господу, на свещеника Елеазара, както Господ заповяда на Моисея.

And Moses giveth the tribute -- Jehovah's heave-offering -- to Eleazar the priest, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

42 А половината, която се даде на израилтяните, който Моисей отдели от войниците,

And of the sons of Israel's half, which Moses halved from the men who war --

43 т о ест, половината за обществото, беше: овци, триста и тридесет и седем хиляди и петстотин;

and the company's half is, of the flock three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred;

44 г оведа, тридесет и шест хиляди;

and of the herd six and thirty thousand;

45 о сли, тридесет хиляди и петстотин;

and of asses thirty thousand and five hundred;

46 и човеци - шестнадесет хиляди.

and of human beings sixteen thousand --

47 О т тия половината за израилтяните Моисей взе по един дял от петдесет от човеци и от животни, и ги даде на левитите, които пазеха заръчаното за Господната скиния, според както Господ заповяда на Моисея.

Moses taketh from the sons of Israel's half the one possession from the fifty, of man and of beast, and giveth them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

48 Т огава се приближиха при Моисея началниците, които бяха над хилядите на войската, хилядниците и стотниците,

And the inspectors whom the thousands of the host hath, (heads of the thousands and heads of the hundreds), draw near unto Moses,

49 и рекоха на Моисея: Слугите ти преброиха войниците, които са под ръката ни; и не липсва ни един от нас.

and they say unto Moses, `Thy servants have taken up the sum of the men of war who with us, and not a man of us hath been missed;

50 З а това принасяме дар Господу, всеки каквото е намерил, златни неща, верижки, гривни, пръстени, обеци и мъниста, за да се извърши умилостивение за душите ни пред Господа.

and we bring near Jehovah's offering, each that which he hath found, vessels of gold -- chain, and bracelet, seal-ring, -ring, and bead -- to make atonement for ourselves before Jehovah.'

51 И Моисей и свещеникът Елеазар взеха златото от тях, всичко в изработени украшения.

And Moses receiveth -- Eleazar the priest also -- the gold from them, every made vessel,

52 И всичкото злато от възвишаемия принос, който хилядниците и стотниците принесоха Господу, беше шестнадесет хиляди седемстотин и петдесет сикли.

and all the gold of the heave-offering which they have lifted up to Jehovah is sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from heads of the thousands, and from heads of the hundreds;

53 ( Защото войниците бяха грабили, всеки за себе си).

(the men of the host have spoiled each for himself);

54 И Моисей и свещеникът Елеазар, като взеха златото от хилядниците и стотниците, донесоха го в шатъра за срещане, за спомен на израилтяните пред Господа.

and Moses taketh -- Eleazar the priest also -- the gold from the heads of the thousands and of the hundreds, and they bring it in unto the tent of meeting -- a memorial for the sons of Israel before Jehovah.
