1 И Господ посети Сара, според както беше рекъл; и Господ стори на Сара както бе казал.

And Jehovah hath looked after Sarah as He hath said, and Jehovah doth to Sarah as He hath spoken;

2 З ащото Сара зачна и роди син на Авраама в старините му, в определения му от Бога срок.

and Sarah conceiveth, and beareth a son to Abraham, to his old age, at the appointed time that God hath spoken of with him;

3 И Авраам наименува сина, който му се роди, когото Сара му роди, Исаак.

and Abraham calleth the name of his son who is born to him, whom Sarah hath born to him -- Isaac;

4 И на осмия ден Авраам обряза сина си Исаака, според както Бог му беше заповядал.

and Abraham circumciseth Isaac his son, a son of eight days, as God hath commanded him.

5 А Авраам беше на сто години, когато се роди сина му Исаак.

And Abraham a son of a hundred years in Isaac his son being born to him,

6 И Сара каза: Бог ме направи за смях; всеки, който чуе, ще ми се смее.

and Sarah saith, `God hath made laughter for me; every one who is hearing laugheth for me.'

7 К аза още: Кой би рекъл на Авраама, че Сара ще кърми чада? - Защото му родих син в старините му.

She saith also, `Who hath said to Abraham, Sarah hath suckled sons, that I have born a son for his old age?'

8 А като порасна детето, отбиха го; и в деня, когато отбиха Исаака, Авраам направи голямо угощение.

And the lad groweth, and is weaned, and Abraham maketh a great banquet in the day of Isaac's being weaned;

9 А Сара видя, че синът на египтянката Агар, когото бе родила на Авраама се присмива;

and Sarah seeth the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she hath borne to Abraham, mocking,

10 з атова рече на Авраама: Изпъди тая слугиня и сина й; защото синът на тая слугиня няма наследство с моя син Исаак.

and she saith to Abraham, `Cast out this handmaid and her son; for the son of this handmaid hath no possession with my son -- with Isaac.'

11 О баче тая дума се видя на Авраама твърде тежка, поради сина му Исмаил.

And the thing is very wrong in the eyes of Abraham, for his son's sake;

12 Н о Бог каза на Авраама: Да не ти се види тежко за момчето и за слугинята ти; относно всичко, което ти рече Сара, послушай думите й, защото по Исаака ще се наименува твоето потомство.

and God saith unto Abraham, `Let it not be wrong in thine eyes because of the youth, and because of thy handmaid: all that Sarah saith unto thee -- hearken to her voice, for in Isaac is a seed called to thee.

13 Н о и от сина на слугинята ще направя да стане народ, понеже е твое чадо.

As to the son of the handmaid also, for a nation I set him, because he thy seed.'

14 Т огава на сутринта Авраам стана рано, взе хляб и мех с вода и даде ги на Агар, като ги тури на рамото й; даде й още детето и я изпрати.А тя отиде и се заблуди в пустинята Вирсавее.

And Abraham riseth early in the morning, and taketh bread, and a bottle of water, and giveth unto Hagar (placing on her shoulder), also the lad, and sendeth her out; and she goeth on, and goeth astray in the wilderness of Beer-Sheba;

15 Н о изчерпи се водата в меха; и майка му хвърли детето под един храст

and the water is consumed from the bottle, and she placeth the lad under one of the shrubs.

16 и отиде та седна на среща, далеч колкото един хвърлей на стрела, защото си рече: Да не гледам, като умира детето. И като седна насреща, издигна глас и заплака.

And she goeth and sitteth by herself over-against, afar off, about a bow-shot, for she said, `Let me not look on the death of the lad;' and she sitteth over-against, and lifteth up her voice, and weepeth.

17 И Бог чу гласа на момчето; и ангел Божий извика към Агар от небето и рече й: Що ти е, Агар? Не бой се, защото Бог чу гласа на момчето от мястото гдето е.

And God heareth the voice of the youth; and the messenger of God calleth unto Hagar from the heavens, and saith to her, `What to thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath hearkened unto the voice of the youth where he;

18 С тани, дигни момчето и крепи го с ръката си, защото ще направя от него велик народ.

rise, lift up the youth, and lay hold on him with thy hand, for for a great nation I set him.'

19 Т огава Бог й отвори очите, и тя видя кладенец с вода; и отиде да напълни меха с вода и даде на момчето да пие.

And God openeth her eyes, and she seeth a well of water, and she goeth and filleth the bottle water, and causeth the youth to drink;

20 Б ог беше с момчето, което порасна, засели се в пустинята и стана стрелец.

and God is with the youth, and he groweth, and dwelleth in the wilderness, and is an archer;

21 З асели се във Фаранската пустиня; и майка му взе жена от Египетската земя.

and he dwelleth in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother taketh for him a wife from the land of Egypt.

22 П о онова време Авимелех, с военачалника си Фихола, говори на Авраама, казвайки: Бог е с тебе във всичко що правиш.

And it cometh to pass at that time that Abimelech speaketh -- Phichol also, head of his host -- unto Abraham, saying, `God with thee in all that thou art doing;

23 С ега, прочее, закълни ми се тук в Бога, че не ще постъпваш неверно с мене, ни със сина ми, нито с внука ми; но, според благостта, която съм показал към тебе, ще показваш и ти към мене и към земята, в която си пребивавал.

and now, swear to me by God here: thou dost not lie to me, or to my continuator, or to my successor; according to the kindness which I have done with thee thou dost with me, and with the land in which thou hast sojourned.'

24 И рече Авраам: Заклевам се.

And Abraham saith, `I -- I do swear.'

25 П одир това Авраам изобличи Авимелеха за водния кладенец, който Авимелеховите слуги бяха отнели на сила.

And Abraham reasoned with Abimelech concerning the matter of a well of water which Abimelech's servants have taken violently away,

26 Н о рече Авимелех: Не знам кой е сторил това нещо; нито ти си ми явил за това, нито аз съм чул, освен днес.

and Abimelech saith, `I have not known who hath done this thing, and even thou didst not declare to me, and I also, I have not heard save to-day.'

27 Т огава Авраам взе овци и говеда и ги даде на Авимелеха, та двамата сключиха договор помежду си.

And Abraham taketh sheep and oxen, and giveth to Abimelech, and they make, both of them, a covenant;

28 А Авраам отдели седем женски агнета от стадото.

and Abraham setteth seven Lambs of the flock by themselves.

29 И Авимелех каза на Авраама: Какви са тия женски агнета, които си отделил?

And Abimelech saith unto Abraham, `What they -- these seven lambs which thou hast set by themselves?'

30 А той рече:Тия седем женски агнета ще вземеш от мене, да ми бъдат за свидетелство, че аз съм изкопал тоя кладенец.

And he saith, `For -- the seven lambs thou dost accept from my hand, so that it becometh a witness for me that I have digged this well;'

31 З атова той наименува онова място Вирсавее, защото там се заклеха двамата.

therefore hath he called that place `Beer-Sheba,' for there have both of them sworn.

32 Т ака те сключиха договор във Вирсавее: и след това станаха Авимелех и военачалникът Фихол и се върнаха във Филистимската земя.

And they make a covenant in Beer-Sheba, and Abimelech riseth -- Phichol also, head of his host -- and they turn back unto the land of the Philistines;

33 И Авраам посади дъбрава във Вирсавее, и там призова името на Иеова, Вечния Бог.

and planteth a tamarask in Beer-Sheba, and preacheth there in the name of Jehovah, God age-during;

34 И Авраам престоя във Филистимската земя много дни.

and Abraham sojourneth in the land of the Philistines many days.
