1 А Исус, пълен с Святия Дух, когато се върна, от Йордан, бе воден от Духа из пустинята четиридесет дена,

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, turned back from the Jordan, and was brought in the Spirit to the wilderness,

2 д ето бе изкушаван от дявола. И не яде нищо през тия дни; и като се изминаха те, Той огладня.

forty days being tempted by the Devil, and he did not eat anything in those days, and they having been ended, he afterward hungered,

3 И дяволът Му рече: Ако си Божий Син, заповядай на тоя камък да стане хляб.

and the Devil said to him, `If Son thou art of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.'

4 А Исус му отговори: Писано е: "Не само с хляб ще живее човек,.

And Jesus answered him, saying, `It hath been written, that, not on bread only shall man live, but on every saying of God.'

5 Т огава, като Го възведе на високо и Му показа всичките царства на вселената, в един миг време, дяволът Му рече:

And the Devil having brought him up to an high mountain, shewed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time,

6 Н а тебе ще дам всичката власт и слава на тия царства, (защото на мене е предадена, и аз я давам комуто ща),

and the Devil said to him, `To thee I will give all this authority, and their glory, because to me it hath been delivered, and to whomsoever I will, I do give it;

7 и тъй, ако ми се поклониш, всичко ще бъде Твое.

thou, then, if thou mayest bow before me -- all shall be thine.'

8 А Исус в отговор му каза: Писано е, "На Господа твоя Бог, да се кланяш, и само Нему да служиш".

And Jesus answering him said, `Get thee behind me, Adversary, for it hath been written, Thou shalt bow before the Lord thy God, and Him only thou shalt serve.'

9 Т огава Го заведе в Ерусалим, постави Го на крилото на храма и Му рече: Ако си Божий Син, хвърли се от тук долу;

And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, `If the Son thou art of God, cast thyself down hence,

10 з ащото е писано:

for it hath been written -- To His messengers He will give charge concerning thee, to guard over thee,

11 и на ръце ще Те дигат, да не би да удариш о камък ногата Си".

and -- On hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou mayest dash against a stone thy foot.'

12 А Исус в отговор му рече: Казано е: "Да не изпиташ Господа, твоя Бог".

And Jesus answering said to him -- `It hath been said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.'

13 И като изчерпи всяко изкушение, дяволът се оттегли от Него за известно време.

And having ended all temptation, the Devil departed from him till a convenient season.

14 А Исус се върна в Галилея със силата на Духа; и слух се разнесе за Него по цялата околност.

And Jesus turned back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a fame went forth through all the region round about concerning him,

15 И той поучаваше по синагогите им; и всички Го прославяха.

and he was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

16 И дойде в Назарет, дето беше отхранен, и по обичая Си влезе в синагогата един съботен ден и стана да чете.

And he came to Nazareth, where he hath been brought up, and he went in, according to his custom, on the sabbath-day, to the synagogue, and stood up to read;

17 И подадоха Му книгата на пророк Исаия; и Той, като отвори книгата, намери мястото дето бе писано:

and there was given over to him a roll of Isaiah the prophet, and having unfolded the roll, he found the place where it hath been written:

18 " Духът на Господа е на Мене, Защото Ме е помазал да благовестявам на сиромасите; Прати Ме да проглася освобождение на пленниците, И прогледване на слепите, Да пусна на свобода угнетените,

`The Spirit of the Lord upon me, Because He did anoint me; To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send away the bruised with deliverance,

19 д а проглася благоприятната Господна година".

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.'

20 И като затвори книгата, върна я на служителя и седна; а очите на всички в синагогата бяха впити в Него.

And having folded the roll, having given back to the officer, he sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on him.

21 И почна да им казва: Днес се изпълни това писание във вашите уши.

And he began to say unto them -- `To-day hath this writing been fulfilled in your ears;'

22 И всички му засвидетелствуваха, чудещи се на благодатните думи, които излизаха из устата Му. И думаха: Тоя не е ли Йосифовият син?

and all were bearing testimony to him, and were wondering at the gracious words that are coming forth out of his mouth, and they said, `Is not this the son of Joseph?'

23 А той им рече: Без друго ще Ми кажете тая поговорка: Лекарю, изцери себе си; каквото сме чули, че става в Капернаум, стори го и тука в Своята родина.

And he said unto them, `Certainly ye will say to me this simile, Physician, heal thyself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country;'

24 И пак рече: Истина ви казвам, че никой пророк не е приет в родината си.

and he said, `Verily I say to you -- No prophet is accepted in his own country;

25 А казвам ви наистина, много вдовици имаше в Израил в дните на Илия, когато се затвори небето за три години и шест месеца, и настана голям глад по цялата земя;

and of a truth I say to you, Many widows were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the heaven was shut for three years and six months, when great famine came on all the land,

26 а нито при една от тях не бе пратен Илия, а само при една вдовица в Сарепта Сидонска.

and unto none of them was Elijah sent, but -- to Sarepta of Sidon, unto a woman, a widow;

27 Т ъй също много прокажени имаше в Израил във времето на пророк Елисея; но никой от тях не бе очистен, а само сириецът Нееман.

and many lepers were in the time of Elisha the prophet, in Israel, and none of them was cleansed, but -- Naaman the Syrian.'

28 К ато чуха това тия, които бяха в синагогата, всички се изпълниха с гняв,

And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, hearing these things,

29 и , като станаха, изкараха Го вън из града, и заведоха Го при стръмнината на хълма, на който градът им беше съграден, за да Го хвърлят долу.

and having risen, they put him forth without the city, and brought him unto the brow of the hill on which their city had been built -- to cast him down headlong,

30 Н о Той мина посред тях и си отиде.

and he, having gone through the midst of them, went away.

31 И слезе в Галилейския град Капернаум и поучаваше ги в съботен ден;

And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the sabbaths,

32 и учудваха се на учението Му, защото Неговото слово беше с власт.

and they were astonished at his teaching, because his word was with authority.

33 И в синагогата имаше човек, хванат от духа на нечист бяс; и той извика със силен глас:

And in the synagogue was a man, having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a great voice,

34 Е х, какво имаш Ти с нас, Исусе Назарянине? Нима си дошъл да ни погубиш? Познавам Те Кой си Ти, Светият Божий.

saying, `Away, what -- to us and to thee, Jesus, O Nazarene? thou didst come to destroy us; I have known thee who thou art -- the Holy One of God.'

35 Н о Исус го смъмра, казвайки: Млъкни и излез из него. И бесът, като го повали насред, излезе из него, без да го повреди никак.

And Jesus did rebuke him, saying, `Be silenced, and come forth out of him;' and the demon having cast him into the midst, came forth from him, having hurt him nought;

36 И всички се смаяха, и разговаряха се помежду си, думайки: Какво е това слово, дето Той с власт и сила заповядва на нечистите духове, и те излизат?

and amazement came upon all, and they were speaking together, with one another, saying, `What this word, that with authority and power he doth command the unclean spirits, and they come forth?'

37 И слух се разнесе за Него по всичките околни места.

and there was going forth a fame concerning him to every place of the region round about.

38 И като стана та излезе от синагогата, влезе в Симоновата къща. А Симоновата тъща беше хваната от силна треска; и молиха Го за нея.

And having risen out of the synagogue, he entered into the house of Simon, and the mother-in-law of Simon was pressed with a great fever, and they did ask him about her,

39 И Той, като застана над нея, смъмра треската, и тя я остави; и на часа стана та им прислужваше.

and having stood over her, he rebuked the fever, and it left her, and presently, having risen, she was ministering to them.

40 И когато залязваше слънцето, всички, които имаха болни от разни болести, доведоха ги при Него; а Той, като положи ръце на всеки от тях, изцели ги.

And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with manifold sicknesses, brought them unto him, and he on each one of them hands having put, did heal them.

41 О ще и бесове с крясък излизаха из мнозина, и казваха: Ти си Божия Син. А Той ги мъмреше, и не ги оставяше да говорят, понеже знаеха, че Той е Христос.

And demons also were coming forth from many, crying out and saying -- `Thou art the Christ, the Son of God;' and rebuking, he did not suffer them to speak, because they knew him to be the Christ.

42 И като се съмна, Той излезе и отиде в уединено място; а народът Го търсеше, дохождаше при Него и искаше да Го задържи, за да си не отива от тях.

And day having come, having gone forth, he went on to a desert place, and the multitudes were seeking him, and they came unto him, and were staying him -- not to go on from them,

43 Н о Той им рече: И на другите градове трябва да благовестя Божието царство, понеже за това съм изпратен.

and he said unto them -- `Also to the other cities it behoveth me to proclaim good news of the reign of God, because for this I have been sent;'

44 И проповядваше в галилейските синагоги.

and he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
