1 В озвеселится пустыня и сухая земля, и возрадуется страна необитаемая и расцветет как нарцисс;

They joy from the wilderness and dry place, And rejoice doth the desert, and flourish as the rose,

2 в еликолепно будет цвести и радоваться, будет торжествовать и ликовать; слава Ливана дастся ей, великолепие Кармила и Сарона; они увидят славу Господа, величие Бога нашего.

Flourishing it doth flourish, and rejoice, Yea, joy and singing, The honour of Lebanon hath been given to it, The beauty of Carmel and Sharon, They -- they see the honour of Jehovah, The majesty of our God.

3 У крепите ослабевшие руки и утвердите колени дрожащие;

Strengthen ye the feeble hands, Yea, the stumbling knees strengthen.

4 с кажите робким душею: будьте тверды, не бойтесь; вот Бог ваш, придет отмщение, воздаяние Божие; Он придет и спасет вас.

Say to the hastened of heart, `Be strong, Fear not, lo, your God; vengeance cometh, The recompence of God, He Himself doth come and save you.'

5 Т огда откроются глаза слепых, и уши глухих отверзутся.

Then opened are eyes of the blind, And ears of the deaf are unstopped,

6 Т огда хромой вскочит, как олень, и язык немого будет петь; ибо пробьются воды в пустыне, и в степи--потоки.

Then leap as a hart doth the lame, And sing doth the tongue of the dumb, For broken up in a wilderness have been waters, And streams in a desert.

7 И превратится призрак вод в озеро, и жаждущая земля--в источники вод; в жилище шакалов, где они покоятся, будет место для тростника и камыша.

And the mirage hath become a pond, And the thirsty land fountains of waters, In the habitation of dragons, Its place of couching down, a court for reed and rush.

8 И будет там большая дорога, и путь по ней назовется путем святым: нечистый не будет ходить по нему; но он будет для них; идущие этим путем, даже и неопытные, не заблудятся.

And a highway hath been there, and a way, And the `way of holiness' is called to it, Not pass over it doth the unclean, And He Himself by them, Whoso is going in the way -- even fools err not.

9 Л ьва не будет там, и хищный зверь не взойдет на него; его не найдется там, а будут ходить искупленные.

No lion is there, yea, a destructive beast Ascendeth it not, it is not found there, And walked have the redeemed,

10 И возвратятся избавленные Господом, придут на Сион с радостным восклицанием; и радость вечная будет над головою их; они найдут радость и веселье, а печаль и воздыхание удалятся.

And the ransomed of Jehovah return, And have entered Zion with singing. And joy age-during on their head, Joy and gladness they attain, And fled away have sorrow and sighing!
