1 ¶ Y habló Dios todas estas palabras, diciendo:

`And God speaketh all these words, saying,

2 Y o soy el SEÑOR tu Dios, que te saqué de la tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos.

I Jehovah thy God, who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.

3 N o tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí.

`Thou hast no other Gods before Me.

4 N o te harás imagen, ni ninguna semejanza de cosa que esté arriba en el cielo, ni abajo en la tierra, ni en las aguas debajo de la tierra.

`Thou dost not make to thyself a graven image, or any likeness which in the heavens above, or which in the earth beneath, or which in the waters under the earth.

5 N o te inclinarás a ellas, ni las honrarás; porque yo soy el SEÑOR tu Dios, fuerte, celoso, que visito la iniquidad de los padres sobre los hijos, hasta la tercera y cuarta generación, de los que me aborrecen,

Thou dost not bow thyself to them, nor serve them: for I, Jehovah thy God, a zealous God, charging iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third, and on the fourth, of those hating Me,

6 y que hago misericordia por millares de generaciones a los que me aman, y guardan mis mandamientos.

and doing kindness to thousands, of those loving Me and keeping My commands.

7 N o tomarás el Nombre del SEÑOR tu Dios en vano; porque no dará por inocente el SEÑOR al que tomare su Nombre en vano.

`Thou dost not take up the name of Jehovah thy God for a vain thing, for Jehovah acquitteth not him who taketh up His name for a vain thing.

8 T e acordarás del día de reposo, para santificarlo:

`Remember the Sabbath-day to sanctify it;

9 S eis días obrarás, y harás toda tu obra;

six days thou dost labour, and hast done all thy work,

10 m as el séptimo día será sábado al SEÑOR tu Dios; no hagas en él obra alguna, tú, ni tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu criada, ni tu bestia, ni tu extranjero que está dentro de tus puertas;

and the seventh day a Sabbath to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not do any work, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and thy cattle, and thy sojourner who is within thy gates, --

11 p orque en seis días hizo el SEÑOR los cielos y la tierra, el mar y todas las cosas que en ellos hay, y reposó en el séptimo día; por tanto el SEÑOR bendijo el día del sábado y lo santificó.

for six days hath Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that in them, and resteth in the seventh day; therefore hath Jehovah blessed the Sabbath-day, and doth sanctify it.

12 ¶ Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, para que tus días sean alargados sobre la tierra que el SEÑOR tu Dios te da.

`Honour thy father and thy mother, so that thy days are prolonged on the ground which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.

13 N o cometerás homicidio.

`Thou dost not murder.

14 N o cometerás adulterio.

`Thou dost not commit adultery.

15 N o hurtarás.

`Thou dost not steal.

16 N o hablarás contra tu prójimo falso testimonio.

`Thou dost not answer against thy neighbour a false testimony.

17 N o codiciarás la casa de tu prójimo, no codiciarás la mujer de tu prójimo, ni su siervo, ni su criada, ni su buey, ni su asno, ni cosa alguna de tu prójimo.

`Thou dost not desire the house of thy neighbour, thou dost not desire the wife of thy neighbour, or his man-servant, or his handmaid, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which thy neighbour's.'

18 ¶ Todo el pueblo consideraba las voces, y las llamas, y el sonido de la trompeta, y el monte que humeaba; y viéndolo el pueblo, temblaron, y se pusieron de lejos.

And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mount smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand afar off,

19 Y dijeron a Moisés: Habla tú con nosotros, que nosotros oiremos; y no hable Dios con nosotros, para que no muramos.

and say unto Moses, `Speak thou with us, and we hear, and let not God speak with us, lest we die.'

20 E ntonces Moisés respondió al pueblo: No temáis; que para probaros vino Dios, y para que su temor esté en vuestra presencia para que no pequéis.

And Moses saith unto the people, `Fear not, for to try you hath God come, and in order that His fear may be before your faces -- that ye sin not.'

21 E ntonces el pueblo se puso de lejos, y Moisés se acercó a la oscuridad en la cual estaba Dios.

And the people stand afar off, and Moses hath drawn nigh unto the thick darkness where God.

22 ¶ Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: Vosotros habéis visto que he hablado desde el cielo con vosotros.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Thus dost thou say unto the sons of Israel: Ye -- ye have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you;

23 N o hagáis junto a mí dioses de plata, ni dioses de oro os haréis.

ye do not make with Me gods of silver, even gods of gold ye do not make to yourselves.

24 A ltar de tierra harás para mí, y sacrificarás sobre él tus holocaustos y tus ofrendas de paz, tus ovejas y tus vacas; en cualquier lugar donde yo hiciere que esté la memoria de mi Nombre, vendré a ti, y te bendeciré.

`An altar of earth thou dost make for Me, and thou hast sacrificed on it thy burnt-offerings and thy peace-offerings, thy flock and thy herd; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered I come in unto thee, and have blessed thee.

25 Y si me hicieres altar de piedras, no las labres de cantería; porque si alzares tu pico sobre él, tú lo ensuciarás.

`And if an altar of stones thou dost make to Me, thou dost not build them of hewn work; when thy tool thou hast waved over it, then thou dost pollute it;

26 Y no subirás por gradas a mi altar, para que tu desnudez no sea descubierta junto a él.

neither dost thou go up by steps on Mine altar, that thy nakedness be not revealed upon it.
