1 ¿ Quién creerá a nuestro dicho? ¿Y sobre quién será manifestado el brazo del SEÑOR?

Who hath given credence to that which we heard? And the arm of Jehovah, On whom hath it been revealed?

2 C on todo eso subirá, como renuevo, delante de él; y como raíz de tierra seca. No hay parecer en él, ni hermosura. Le veremos, mas sin atractivo para que le deseemos.

Yea, he cometh up as a tender plant before Him, And as a root out of a dry land, He hath no form, nor honour, when we observe him, Nor appearance, when we desire him.

3 D espreciado, y desechado entre los hombres, varón de dolores, experimentado en flaqueza; y como que escondimos de él el rostro, fue menospreciado, y no le estimamos.

He is despised, and left of men, A man of pains, and acquainted with sickness, And as one hiding the face from us, He is despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 C iertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido.

Surely our sicknesses he hath borne, And our pains -- he hath carried them, And we -- we have esteemed him plagued, Smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 M as él herido fue por nuestras rebeliones, molido por nuestras iniquidades. El castigo de nuestra paz fue sobre él; y por su llaga hubo cura para nosotros.

And he is pierced for our transgressions, Bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement of our peace on him, And by his bruise there is healing to us.

6 T odos nosotros nos perdimos, como ovejas; cada cual se apartó por su camino; mas el SEÑOR traspuso en él la iniquidad de todos nosotros.

All of us like sheep have wandered, Each to his own way we have turned, And Jehovah hath caused to meet on him, The punishment of us all.

7 A ngustiado él, y afligido, no abrió su boca. Como oveja, fue llevado al matadero; y como cordero delante de sus trasquiladores enmudeció; y no abrió su boca.

It hath been exacted, and he hath answered, And he openeth not his mouth, As a lamb to the slaughter he is brought, And as a sheep before its shearers is dumb, And he openeth not his mouth.

8 D e la cárcel y del juicio fue quitado. Y su generación, ¿quién la contará? Porque cortado fue de la tierra de los vivientes. Por la rebelión de mi pueblo fue herido.

By restraint and by judgment he hath been taken, And of his generation who doth meditate, That he hath been cut off from the land of the living? By the transgression of My people he is plagued,

9 Y puso con los impíos su sepultura, y su muerte con los ricos; aunque nunca hizo él maldad, ni hubo engaño en su boca.

And it appointeth with the wicked his grave, And with the rich his high places, Because he hath done no violence, Nor deceit in his mouth.

10 C on todo eso, el SEÑOR lo quiso moler, sujetándole a padecimiento. Cuando hubiere puesto su alma por expiación, verá linaje, vivirá por largos días; y la voluntad del SEÑOR será en su mano prosperada.

And Jehovah hath delighted to bruise him, He hath made him sick, If his soul doth make an offering for guilt, He seeth seed -- he prolongeth days, And the pleasure of Jehovah in his hand doth prosper.

11 D el trabajo de su alma verá y será saciado. Y con su conocimiento justificará mi Siervo justo a muchos; y él llevará las iniquidades de ellos.

Of the labour of his soul he seeth -- he is satisfied, Through his knowledge give righteousness Doth the righteous one, My servant, to many, And their iniquities he doth bear.

12 P or tanto, yo le daré parte con los grandes, y a los fuertes repartirá despojos; por cuanto derramó su alma hasta la muerte, y fue contado con los rebeldes, habiendo él llevado el pecado de muchos, y orado por los transgresores.

Therefore I give a portion to him among the many, And with the mighty he apportioneth spoil, Because that he exposed to death his soul, And with transgressors he was numbered, And he the sin of many hath borne, And for transgressors he intercedeth.
