1 H izo también casas para sí en la ciudad de David, y labró un lugar para el arca de Dios, y le tendió una tienda.

And he maketh for himself houses in the city of David, and prepareth a place for the ark of God, and stretcheth out for it a tent.

2 E ntonces dijo David: El arca de Dios no debe ser traída sino por los levitas; porque a ellos ha elegido el SEÑOR para que lleven el arca del SEÑOR, y le sirvan perpetuamente.

Then said David, `None to carry the ark of God, except the Levites, for on them hath Jehovah fixed to carry the ark of God, and to serve Him -- unto the age.'

3 Y juntó David a todo Israel en Jerusalén, para que pasaran el arca del SEÑOR a su lugar, el cual le había él preparado.

And David assembleth all Israel unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah unto its place that he had prepared for it.

4 J untó también David a los hijos de Aarón y a los levitas;

And David gathereth the sons of Aaron, and the Levites.

5 d e los hijos de Coat, Uriel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento veinte;

Of sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twenty.

6 d e los hijos de Merari, Asaías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos veinte;

Of sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred and twenty.

7 d e los hijos de Gersón, Joel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento treinta;

Of sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and thirty.

8 d e los hijos de Elizafán, Semaías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos;

Of sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred.

9 d e los hijos de Hebrón, Eliel el principal, y sus hermanos, ochenta;

Of sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren, eighty.

10 d e los hijos de Uziel, Aminadab el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento doce.

Of sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twelve.

11 Y llamó también David a Sadoc y a Abiatar, sacerdotes, y a los levitas, Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semaías, Eliel, y Aminadab;

And David calleth to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, and to the Levites, to Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

12 y les dijo: Vosotros que sois los principales padres entre los levitas, santificaos a vosotros y a vuestros hermanos, y pasad el arca del SEÑOR Dios de Israel al lugar que le he preparado;

and saith to them, `Ye heads of the fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and ye have brought up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel, unto I have prepared for it;

13 p ues por no haberlo hecho así vosotros la primera vez, el SEÑOR nuestro Dios hizo en nosotros rotura, por cuanto no le buscamos según su ordenanza.

because at the first not ye, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, because we sought Him not according to the ordinance.'

14 A sí los sacerdotes y los levitas se santificaron para traer el arca del SEÑOR Dios de Israel.

And the priests and the Levites sanctify themselves, to bring up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel;

15 Y los hijos de los levitas trajeron el arca de Dios puesta sobre sus hombros en las barras, como lo había mandado Moisés conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR.

and sons of the Levites bear the ark of God, as Moses commanded, according to the word of Jehovah, on their shoulder, with staves, above them.

16 A simismo dijo David a los principales de los levitas, que constituyeran de sus hermanos cantores, con instrumentos de música, con salterios, arpas, y címbalos, que resonaran, y alzaran la voz en alegría.

And David saith to the heads of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, sounding, to lift up with the voice for joy.

17 Y los levitas constituyeron a Hemán hijo de Joel; y de sus hermanos, a Asaf hijo de Berequías; y de los hijos de Merari y de sus hermanos, a Etán hijo de Cusaías;

And the Levites appoint Heman son of Joel, and of his brethren, Asaph son of Berechiah, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan son of Kushaiah;

18 y con ellos a sus hermanos del segundo orden, a Zacarías, Ben y Jaaziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Benaía, Maasías, Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, y Jeiel, los porteros.

and with them their brethren, the seconds, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah; and Obed-Edom and Jeiel the gatekeepers;

19 A sí Hemán, Asaf, y Etán, que eran cantores, alzaban su voz con címbalos de bronce.

and the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, with cymbals of brass to sound,

20 Y Zacarías, Jaaziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Maasías, y Benaía, con salterios sobre Alamot.

and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jeheil, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries besides virgins,

21 Y Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, Jeiel, y Azazías, cantaban con arpas en la octava sobresaliendo.

and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps, on the octave, to oversee.

22 Y Quenanías, príncipe de los levitas en la profecía, porque él presidía en la profecía, porque era entendido.

And Chenaniah, head of the Levites, over the burden; he instructeth about the burden, for he intelligent.

23 Y Berequías y Elcana eran los porteros del arca.

And Berechiah and Elkanah gatekeepers for the ark.

24 Y Sebanías, Josafat, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarías, Benaía, y Eliezer, los sacerdotes, tocaban las trompetas delante del arca de Dios; Obed-edom y Jehías eran también porteros del arca.

And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests, are blowing with trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah gatekeepers for the ark.

25 D avid pues y los ancianos de Israel, y los capitanes de los millares fueron a traer el arca del pacto del SEÑOR de casa de Obed-edom, con alegría.

And it is David, and the elders of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, who are going to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the house of Obed-Edom with joy;

26 Y ayudando Dios a los levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto del SEÑOR, sacrificaban siete bueyes y siete carneros.

and it cometh to pass, in God's helping the Levites bearing the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrifice seven bullocks and seven rams.

27 Y David iba vestido de lino fino y también todos los levitas que llevaban el arca, y asimismo los cantores; y Quenanías era príncipe de la profecía de los cantores. Y llevaba David sobre sí un efod de lino.

And David is wrapped in an upper robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who are bearing the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah head of the burden of the singers; and on David an Ephod of linen.

28 D e esta manera todo Israel llevaba el arca del pacto del SEÑOR, con gritos y sonido de shofar, y trompetas, címbalos, salterios, y arpas, haciendo sonido.

And all Israel are bringing up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding with psalteries and harps,

29 Y cuando el arca del pacto del SEÑOR llegó a la ciudad de David, Mical, hija de Saúl, mirando por una ventana, vio al rey David que saltaba y bailaba; y le menospreció en su corazón.

and it cometh to pass, the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is entering in unto the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul is looking through the window, and seeth king David dancing and playing, and despiseth him in her heart.
