1 S EÑOR, oye mi oración, y venga mi clamor a ti.

A Prayer of the afflicted when he is feeble, and before Jehovah poureth out his plaint. O Jehovah, hear my prayer, yea, my cry to Thee cometh.

2 N o escondas de mí tu rostro; en el día de mi angustia inclina a mí tu oído; el día que te invocare, apresúrate a responderme.

Hide not Thou Thy face from me, In a day of mine adversity, Incline unto me Thine ear, In the day I call, haste, answer me.

3 P orque mis días se han consumido como humo; y mis huesos son quemados como en hogar.

For consumed in smoke have been my days, And my bones as a fire-brand have burned.

4 M i corazón fue herido, y se secó como la hierba; por lo cual me olvidé de comer mi pan.

Smitten as the herb, and withered, is my heart, For I have forgotten to eat my bread.

5 P or la voz de mi gemido mis huesos se han pegado a mi carne.

From the voice of my sighing Hath my bone cleaved to my flesh.

6 S oy semejante al pelícano del desierto; soy como el búho de las soledades.

I have been like to a pelican of the wilderness, I have been as an owl of the dry places.

7 V elo, y soy como el pájaro solitario sobre el tejado.

I have watched, and I am As a bird alone on the roof.

8 C ada día me afrentan mis enemigos; los que se enfurecen contra mí, se han conjurado contra mí.

All the day mine enemies reproached me, Those mad at me have sworn against me.

9 P or lo cual como la ceniza a manera de pan, y mi bebida mezclo con lloro,

Because ashes as bread I have eaten, And my drink with weeping have mingled,

10 a causa de tu enojo y de tu ira; porque me alzaste, y me arrojaste.

From Thine indignation and Thy wrath, For Thou hast lifted me up, And dost cast me down.

11 M is días son como la sombra que se va; y me he secado como la hierba.

My days as a shadow stretched out, And I -- as the herb I am withered.

12 ¶ Mas tú, SEÑOR, para siempre permanecerás, y tu memoria de generación y generación.

And Thou, O Jehovah, to the age abidest, And Thy memorial to all generations.

13 T ú levantándote, tendrás misericordia de Sion; porque es tiempo de tener misericordia de ella, porque el plazo es llegado.

Thou -- Thou risest -- Thou pitiest Zion, For the time to favour her, For the appointed time hath come.

14 P orque tus siervos amaron sus piedras, y del polvo de ella tuvieron compasión.

For Thy servants have been pleased with her stones, And her dust they favour.

15 E ntonces temerán los gentiles el Nombre del SEÑOR, y todos los reyes de la tierra tu gloria;

And nations fear the name of Jehovah, And all kings of the earth Thine honour,

16 p or cuanto el SEÑOR habrá edificado a Sion, y será visto en su gloria;

For Jehovah hath builded Zion, He hath been seen in His honour,

17 h abrá mirado a la oración de los solitarios y menesterosos, y no habrá desechado el ruego de ellos.

He turned unto the prayer of the destitute, And He hath not despised their prayer.

18 S e escribirá esto para la generación venidera; y el pueblo que se criará, alabará a JAH.

This is written for a later generation, And the people created do praise Jah.

19 P orque miró de lo alto de su santuario; el SEÑOR miró de los cielos a la tierra,

For He hath looked From the high place of His sanctuary. Jehovah from heaven unto earth looked attentively,

20 p ara oír el gemido de los presos, para soltar a los hijos de muerte;

To hear the groan of the prisoner, To loose sons of death,

21 p ara que cuenten en Sion el Nombre del SEÑOR, y su alabanza en Jerusalén,

To declare in Zion the name of Jehovah, And His praise in Jerusalem,

22 c uando los pueblos se congregaren en uno, y los reinos, para servir al SEÑOR.

In the peoples being gathered together, And the kingdoms -- to serve Jehovah.

23 ¶ El afligió mi fuerza en el camino; acortó mis días.

He hath humbled in the way my power, He hath shortened my days.

24 D ije: Dios mío, no me cortes en el medio de mis días; por generación de generaciones son tus años.

I say, `My God, take me not up in the midst of my days,' Through all generations Thine years.

25 T ú fundaste la tierra antiguamente, y los cielos son obra de tus manos.

Beforetime the earth Thou didst found, And the work of Thy hands the heavens.

26 E llos perecerán, y tú permanecerás; y todos ellos como un vestido se envejecerán; como una ropa de vestir los mudarás, y serán mudados;

They -- They perish, and Thou remainest, And all of them as a garment become old, As clothing Thou changest them, And they are changed.

27 m as tú eres el mismo, y tus años no se acabarán.

And Thou the same, and Thine years are not finished.

28 L os hijos de tus siervos habitarán, y su simiente será afirmada delante de ti.

The sons of Thy servants do continue, And their seed before Thee is established!
