1 Y vino Palabra del SEÑOR a mí, diciendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

2 Y tú, hijo de hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú, no juzgarás tú a la ciudad derramadora de la sangre inocente, y le mostrarás todas sus abominaciones?

`And thou, son of man, dost thou judge? dost thou judge the city of blood? then thou hast caused it to know all its abominations,

3 D irás, pues: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: ¡Ciudad derramadora de sangre en medio de sí, para que venga su hora, y que hizo ídolos contra sí misma para contaminarse!

and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: The city is shedding blood in its midst, For the coming in of its time, And it hath made idols on it for defilement.

4 E n tu sangre que derramaste eres culpable, y te has contaminado con tus ídolos que hiciste; y has hecho acercar tus días, y has llegado a tus años; por tanto, te he dado en oprobio a los gentiles, y en escarnio a todas las tierras.

By thy blood that thou hast shed thou hast been guilty, And by thine idols that thou hast made thou hast been defiled, And thou causest thy days to draw near, And art come in unto thine years, Therefore I have given thee a reproach to nations, And a derision to all the lands.

5 L as que están cerca, y las que están lejos de ti, se reirán de ti, amancillada de fama, y de grande turbación.

The near and the far-off from thee scoff at thee, O defiled of name -- abounding in trouble.

6 H e aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, fueron en ti para derramar sangre.

Lo, princes of Israel -- each according to his arm Have been in thee to shed blood.

7 A l padre y a la madre despreciaron en ti; al extranjero trataron con calumnia en medio de ti; al huérfano y a la viuda despojaron en ti.

Father and mother made light of in thee, To a sojourner they dealt oppressively in thy midst, Fatherless and widow they oppressed in thee.

8 M is santuarios menospreciaste, y mis sábados has profanado.

My holy things thou hast despised, And My sabbaths thou hast polluted.

9 C alumniadores hubo en ti para derramar sangre; y sobre los montes comieron en ti; hicieron en medio de ti suciedades.

Men of slander have been in thee to shed blood, And on the mountains they have eaten in thee, Wickedness they have done in thy midst.

10 L a desnudez del padre descubrieron en ti; la inmunda de menstruo forzaron en ti.

The nakedness of a father hath one uncovered in thee, The defiled of impurity they humbled in thee.

11 Y cada uno hizo abominación con la mujer de su prójimo; y cada uno contaminó su nuera torpemente; y cada uno forzó en ti a su hermana, hija de su padre.

And each with the wife of his neighbour hath done abomination, And each his daughter-in-law hath defiled through wickedness, And each his sister, his father's daughter, hath humbled in thee.

12 S oborno recibieron en ti para derramar sangre; usura y logro tomaste, y a tus prójimos defraudaste con violencia; te olvidaste de mí, dijo el Señor DIOS.

A bribe they have taken in thee to shed blood, Usury and increase thou hast taken, And cuttest off thy neighbour by oppression, And Me thou hast forgotten, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!

13 Y he aquí, que herí mi mano a causa de tu avaricia que cometiste, y a causa de tus sangres que fueron en medio de ti.

And lo, I have smitten My hand, Because of thy dishonest gain that thou hast gained, And for thy blood that hath been in thy midst.

14 ¿ Estará firme tu corazón? ¿Tus manos serán fuertes en los días que obraré yo contra ti? Yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado, y lo haré.

Doth thy heart stand -- are thy hands strong, For the days that I am dealing with thee? I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done.

15 Y yo te esparciré por los gentiles, y te aventaré por las tierras; y haré fenecer de ti tu inmundicia.

And I have scattered thee among nations, And have spread thee out among lands, And consumed thy uncleanness out of thee.

16 Y tomarás heredad en ti a los ojos de los gentiles; y sabrás que yo soy el SEÑOR.

And thou hast been polluted in thyself Before the eyes of nations, And thou hast known that I Jehovah.'

17 Y vino Palabra del SEÑOR a mí, diciendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, `Son of man,

18 H ijo de hombre, la Casa de Israel se me ha tornado en escoria; todos ellos como bronce, y estaño, y hierro, y plomo, en medio del horno; escorias de plata se tornaron.

The house of Israel hath been to Me for dross, All of them brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, In the midst of a furnace -- dross hath silver been,

19 P or tanto, así dijo el Señor DIOS: Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis tornado en escorias, por tanto, he aquí que yo os junto en medio de Jerusalén.

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of your all becoming dross, Therefore, lo, I am gathering you unto the midst of Jerusalem,

20 C omo quien junta plata, bronce, hierro, plomo y estaño en medio del horno, para soplar fuego en él para fundir; así os juntaré en mi furor y en mi ira, y os haré reposar, y os fundiré.

A gathering of silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, Unto the midst of a furnace -- to blow on it fire, to melt it, So do I gather in Mine anger and in My fury, And I have let rest, and have melted you.

21 Y o os juntaré y soplaré sobre vosotros en el fuego de mi furor, y en medio de él seréis fundidos.

And I have heaped you up, And blown on you in the fire of My wrath, And ye have been melted in its midst.

22 C omo se funde la plata en medio del horno, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo, el SEÑOR, habré derramado mi enojo sobre vosotros.

As the melting of silver in the midst of a furnace, So are ye melted in its midst, And ye have known that I, Jehovah, I have poured out My fury upon you.'

23 Y vino Palabra del SEÑOR a mí, diciendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:

24 H ijo de hombre, di a ella: Tú no eres tierra limpia, ni rociada con lluvia en el día del furor.

`Son of man, say to it, Thou a land, It not cleansed nor rained on in a day of indignation.

25 L a conjuración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como león bramando que arrebata presa; devoraron almas, tomaron haciendas y honra, aumentaron sus viudas en medio de ella.

A conspiracy of its prophets in its midst, as a roaring lion tearing prey; The soul they have devoured, Wealth and glory they have taken, Its widows have multiplied in its midst.

26 S us sacerdotes violentaron mi ley, y contaminaron mis santuarios, entre lo santo y lo profano no hicieron diferencia, ni entre inmundo y limpio hicieron manifestación; y de mis sábados escondieron sus ojos, y yo era profanado en medio de ellos.

Its priests have wronged My law, And they pollute My holy things, Between holy and common they have not made separation, And between the unclean and the clean they have not made known, And from my sabbaths they have hidden their eyes, And I am pierced in their midst.

27 S us príncipes en medio de ella como lobos que arrebataban presa, derramando sangre, para destruir las almas, para seguir su avaricia.

Its princes in its midst as wolves, Tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, For the sake of gaining dishonest gain.

28 Y sus profetas los pañetaban con lodo suelto, profetizándoles vanidad, y adivinándoles mentira, diciendo: Así dijo el Señor DIOS; y el SEÑOR no había hablado.

And its prophets have daubed for them with chalk, Seeing a vain thing, and divining for them a lie, Saying, `Thus said the Lord Jehovah:' And Jehovah hath not spoken.

29 E l pueblo de la tierra usaba de opresión, y cometía robo, y al pobre y menesteroso hacían violencia, y al extranjero oprimían sin derecho.

The people of the land have used oppression, And have taken plunder violently away, And humble and needy have oppressed, And the sojourner oppressed -- without judgment.

30 Y busqué de ellos hombre que hiciera vallado y que se pusiera al portillo delante de mí por la tierra, para que yo no la destruyera; y no le hallé.

And I seek of them a man making a fence, And standing in the breach before Me, In behalf of the land -- not to destroy it, And I have not found.

31 P or tanto, derramé sobre ellos mi ira; con el fuego de mi ira los consumí; torné el camino de ellos sobre su cabeza, dijo el Señor DIOS.

And I pour out on them mine indignation, By fire of My wrath I have consumed them, Their way on their own head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'
