1 D espués de estas cosas aconteció que David hirió a los filisteos, y los humilló; y tomó a Gat y a sus villas de mano de los filisteos.

And it cometh to pass after this, that David smiteth the Philistines, and humbleth them, and taketh Gath and its small towns out of the hand of the Philistines;

2 T ambién hirió a Moab; y los moabitas fueron siervos de David trayéndole presentes.

and he smiteth Moab, and the Moabites are servants to David, bringing a present.

3 A simismo hirió David a Hadad-ezer rey de Soba, en Hamat, yendo él a asegurar su dominio al río Eufrates.

And David smiteth Hadarezer king of Zobah, at Hamath, in his going to establish his power by the river Phrat,

4 Y les tomó David mil carros, y siete mil caballos, y veinte mil hombres de a pie; y desjarretó David los caballos de todos los carros, excepto los de cien carros que dejó.

and David captureth from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroyeth utterly all the chariots, and leaveth of them a hundred chariots.

5 Y viniendo Siria, la de Damasco, en ayuda de Hadad-ezer rey de Soba, David hirió de los sirios veintidós mil varones.

And Aram of Damascus cometh in to give help to Hadarezer king of Zobah, and David smiteth in Aram twenty and two thousand men,

6 Y puso David guarnición en Siria, la de Damasco, y los sirios fueron hechos siervos de David, trayéndole presentes; porque el SEÑOR salvaba a David dondequiera que iba.

and David putteth in Aram of Damascus, and the Aramaeans are to David for servants, bearing a present, and Jehovah giveth salvation to David whithersoever he hath gone.

7 T omó también David los escudos de oro que llevaban los siervos de Hadad-ezer, y los trajo a Jerusalén.

And David taketh the shields of gold that have been on the servants of Hadarezer, and bringeth them in to Jerusalem;

8 A simismo de Tibhat y de Cun ciudades de Hadad-ezer, tomó David muchísimo bronce, con el que Salomón hizo el mar de bronce, las columnas, y los vasos de bronce.

and from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, hath David taken very much brass; with it hath Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

9 Y oyendo Toi rey de Hamat, que David había deshecho todo el ejército de Hadad-ezer, rey de Soba,

And Tou king of Hamath heareth that David hath smitten the whole force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,

10 e nvió a Adoram su hijo al rey David, a saludarle y a bendecirle por haber peleado con Hadad-ezer, y haberle vencido; porque Toi tenía guerra con Hadad-ezer. Y le envió toda suerte de vasos de oro, de plata y de bronce;

and he sendeth Hadoram his son unto king David, to ask of him of peace, and to bless him (because that he hath fought against Hadarezer, and smiteth him, for a man of wars with Tou had Hadarezer been,) and all kinds of vessels, of gold, and silver, and brass;

11 l os cuales el rey David dedicó al SEÑOR, con la plata y el oro que había tomado de todos estos gentiles, de Edom, de Moab, de los hijos de Hamón, de los filisteos, y de Amalec.

also them hath king David sanctified to Jehovah with the silver and the gold that he hath taken from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

12 T ambién Abisai hijo de Sarvia hirió a Edom en el valle de la Sal a dieciocho mil hombres.

And Abishai son of Zeruiah hath smitten Edom in the valley of salt -- eighteen thousand,

13 Y puso guarnición en Edom, y todos los idumeos fueron siervos de David; porque el SEÑOR guardaba a David dondequiera que iba.

and he putteth in Edom garrisons, and all the Edomites are servants to David; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone.

14 Y reinó David sobre todo Israel, y hacía juicio y justicia a todo su pueblo.

And David reigneth over all Israel, and he is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,

15 Y Joab hijo de Sarvia era general del ejército; y Josafat hijo de Ahilud, escritor de crónicas;

and Joab son of Zeruiah over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud remembrancer,

16 y Sadoc hijo de Ahitob, y Abimelec hijo de Abiatar, eran sacerdotes; y Savsa, escriba;

and Zadok son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, priests, and Shavsha scribe,

17 y Benaía hijo de Joiada era sobre los cereteos y peleteos; y los hijos de David eran los primeros, a la mano del rey.

and Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the elder sons of David at the hand of the king.
