1 С лед това Давид порази филистимците и ги покори, и отне Гет и селата му от ръката им.

And it cometh to pass after this, that David smiteth the Philistines, and humbleth them, and taketh Gath and its small towns out of the hand of the Philistines;

2 П орази и моавците; и те станаха Давидови слуги и плащаха данък.

and he smiteth Moab, and the Moabites are servants to David, bringing a present.

3 Д авид порази още совския цар Ададезер в Емат, когато последният отиваше да утвърди властта си на реката Ефрат.

And David smiteth Hadarezer king of Zobah, at Hamath, in his going to establish his power by the river Phrat,

4 Д авид му отне хиляда колесници, седем хиляди конници и двадесет хиляди пешаци и преряза жилите на всички колеснични коне само че запази от тях за сто колесници.

and David captureth from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroyeth utterly all the chariots, and leaveth of them a hundred chariots.

5 И когато дамаските сирийци дойдоха, за да помогнат на совския цар Ададезер, Давид порази от сирийците двадесет и две хиляди мъже.

And Aram of Damascus cometh in to give help to Hadarezer king of Zobah, and David smiteth in Aram twenty and two thousand men,

6 Т огава Давид постави гарнизони в Дамаска Сирия; и сирийците станаха Давидови слуги и плащаха данък. И Господ запазваше Давид, където и да отиваше.

and David putteth in Aram of Damascus, and the Aramaeans are to David for servants, bearing a present, and Jehovah giveth salvation to David whithersoever he hath gone.

7 Д авид взе златните щитове, които бяха върху слугите на Ададезер, и ги донесе в Йерусалим.

And David taketh the shields of gold that have been on the servants of Hadarezer, and bringeth them in to Jerusalem;

8 И от Тиват и от Хун, Ададезерови градове, Давид взе твърде много мед, от която Соломон направи медното море, стълбовете и медните съдове.

and from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, hath David taken very much brass; with it hath Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

9 А ематският цар Той, когато чу, че Давид поразил цялата сила на совския цар Ададезер,

And Tou king of Hamath heareth that David hath smitten the whole force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,

10 п рати сина си Адорам при цар Давид, за да го поздрави и да го благослови, понеже се бил против Ададезер и го поразил, защото Ададезер често воюваше против Той. Адорам донесе със себе си всякакви златни, сребърни и медни съдове;

and he sendeth Hadoram his son unto king David, to ask of him of peace, and to bless him (because that he hath fought against Hadarezer, and smiteth him, for a man of wars with Tou had Hadarezer been,) and all kinds of vessels, of gold, and silver, and brass;

11 а и тях цар Давид посвети на Господа заедно със среброто и златото, което беше отнел от всички народи: от Едом, от Моав, от амонците, от филистимците и от Амалик.

also them hath king David sanctified to Jehovah with the silver and the gold that he hath taken from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

12 П ри това Ависей, Саруиният син, порази осемнадесет хиляди едомци в Долината на солта.

And Abishai son of Zeruiah hath smitten Edom in the valley of salt -- eighteen thousand,

13 Т ой постави гарнизони в Едом и всички едомци се подчиниха на Давид. И Господ запазваше Давид, където и да отиваше.

and he putteth in Edom garrisons, and all the Edomites are servants to David; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone.

14 Т ака Давид царува̀ над целия Израел и съдеше целия си народ, и им раздаваше правда.

And David reigneth over all Israel, and he is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,

15 А Йоав, Саруиният син, беше над войската; а Йосафат, Ахилудовият син - летописец;

and Joab son of Zeruiah over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud remembrancer,

16 а Садок, Ахитововият син, и Авимелех, Авиатаровият син - свещеници; а Суса - секретар;

and Zadok son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, priests, and Shavsha scribe,

17 а Ванайя, Йодаевият син, беше над херетците и фелетците; а Давидовите синове бяха първенци около царя.

and Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the elder sons of David at the hand of the king.
