1 В начало беше Словото; и Словото беше у Бога; и Словото беше Бог.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God;

2 Т о в начало беше у Бога.

this one was in the beginning with God;

3 В сичко това стана чрез Него; и без Него не е станало нищо от това, което е станало.

all things through him did happen, and without him happened not even one thing that hath happened.

4 В Него беше животът и животът беше светлина на човеците.

In him was life, and the life was the light of men,

5 И светлината свети в тъмнината; а тъмнината не я обхвана. Йоан - предтеча на Спасителя

and the light in the darkness did shine, and the darkness did not perceive it.

6 Я ви се човек, изпратен от Бога, на име Йоан.

There came a man -- having been sent from God -- whose name John,

7 Т ой дойде за свидетелство, да свидетелства за Светлината, за да повярват всички чрез него.

this one came for testimony, that he might testify about the Light, that all might believe through him;

8 Т ой не беше светлината, но дойде да свидетелства за Светлината. Бог се въплътява

that one was not the Light, but -- that he might testify about the Light.

9 И стинската Светлина, която осветява всеки човек, идваше на света.

He was the true Light, which doth enlighten every man, coming to the world;

10 Т ой беше в света; и светът чрез Него стана; но светът не Го позна.

in the world he was, and the world through him was made, and the world did not know him:

11 П ри Своите Си дойде, но Своите Му не Го приеха.

to his own things he came, and his own people did not receive him;

12 А на онези, които Го приеха, даде право да станат Божии чеда, т. е. на тези, които вярват в Неговото име;

but as many as did receive him to them he gave authority to become sons of God -- to those believing in his name,

13 к оито се родиха не от кръв, нито от плътско пожелание, нито от мъжко пожелание, но от Бога.

who -- not of blood nor of a will of flesh, nor of a will of man but -- of God were begotten.

14 И Словото стана плът и живя между нас; и видяхме славата Му, слава като на Единородния от Отца, пълно с благодат и истина.

And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.

15 Й оан свидетелства за Него и казваше със силен глас: Ето Този, за Когото говорих: Този, Който идва след мене, стана по-горен от мене, понеже е бил преди мене.

John doth testify concerning him, and hath cried, saying, `This was he of whom I said, He who after me is coming, hath come before me, for he was before me;'

16 З ащото ние всички приехме от Неговата пълнота и благодат върху благодат;

and out of his fulness did we all receive, and grace over-against grace;

17 п онеже законът беше даден чрез Моисей, а благодатта и истината дойдоха чрез Исус Христос.

for the law through Moses was given, the grace and the truth through Jesus Christ did come;

18 Н икой никога не е видял Бога; Единородният Син, Който е в лоното на Отца, Той Го изяви. Свидетелството

God no one hath ever seen; the only begotten Son, who is on the bosom of the Father -- he did declare.

19 И това е свидетелството, което Йоан даде, когато юдеите пратиха до него свещеници и левити от Йерусалим да го попитат: Ти кой си?

And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent out of Jerusalem priests and Levites, that they might question him, `Who art thou?'

20 Т ой изповяда и не отрече, а изповяда: Не съм аз Христос.

and he confessed and did not deny, and confessed -- `I am not the Christ.'

21 И го попитаха: Тогава кой си ти ? Илия ли си? Той каза: Не съм. Пророкът ли си? И отговори: Не съм.

And they questioned him, `What then? Elijah art thou?' and he saith, `I am not.' -- `The prophet art thou?' and he answered, `No.'

22 Т огава му казаха: Кой си, за да дадем отговор на онези, които са ни пратили. Какво казваш за себе си?

They said then to him, `Who art thou, that we may give an answer to those sending us? what dost thou say concerning thyself?'

23 Т ой каза: Аз съм "глас на един, който вика в пустинята: Прав направете пътя за Господа", както каза пророк Исая.

He said, `I a voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord, as said Isaiah the prophet.'

24 А изпратените бяха от фарисеите.

And those sent were of the Pharisees,

25 И го попитаха: А защо кръщаваш, ако не си Христос, нито Илия, нито Пророкът?

and they questioned him and said to him, `Why, then, dost thou baptize, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?'

26 Й оан им отговори: Аз кръщавам с вода. Но сред вас стои Един, Когото вие не познавате.

John answered them, saying, `I baptize with water, but in midst of you he hath stood whom ye have not known, this one it is who is coming after me, who hath been before me,

27 Т ози, Който идва след мене, Който беше преди мене, на Когото аз не съм достоен да развържа ремъка на сандалите Му.

of whom I am not worthy that I may loose the cord of his sandal.'

28 Т ова стана във Витания отвъд Йордан, където Йоан кръщаваше.

These things came to pass in Bethabara, beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing,

29 Н а следващия ден Йоан видя Исус, че идва към него, и каза: Ето Божия Агнец, Който поема греха на света!

on the morrow John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, `Lo, the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world;

30 Т ози е, за Когото казах: След мен идва Човек, Който стана по-горен от мене, защото е бил преди мен.

this is he concerning whom I said, After me doth come a man, who hath come before me, because he was before me:

31 И аз не Го познавах; но дойдох и кръщавам с вода, за да бъде Той изявен на Израел.

and I knew him not, but, that he might be manifested to Israel, because of this I came with the water baptizing.

32 И Йоан свидетелства, като каза: Видях Духът да слиза като гълъб от небето и да почива върху Него.

And John testified, saying -- `I have seen the Spirit coming down, as a dove, out of heaven, and it remained on him;

33 И аз не Го познавах; но Онзи, Който ме прати да кръщавам с вода, Той ми каза: Онзи, над Когото видиш да слиза Духът и да почива върху Него, Той е, Който кръщава със Святия Дух.

and I did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water, He said to me, On whomsoever thou mayst see the Spirit coming down, and remaining on him, this is he who is baptizing with the Holy Spirit;

34 И видях и свидетелствам, че Този е Божият Син. Първите апостоли

and I have seen, and have testified, that this is the Son of God.'

35 Н а следващия ден Йоан пак стоеше с двама от учениците си.

On the morrow, again, John was standing, and two of his disciples,

36 И като видя Исус, когато минаваше, каза: Ето Божия Агнец!

and having looked on Jesus walking, he saith, `Lo, the Lamb of God;'

37 И двамата ученици го чуха да говори така и отидоха след Исус.

and the two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.

38 А Исус, като се обърна и видя, че идват след Него, ги попита: Какво търсите? А те Му казаха: Равви (което значи Учителю), къде живееш?

And Jesus having turned, and having beheld them following, saith to them, `What seek ye?' and they said to them, `Rabbi, (which is, being interpreted, Teacher,) where remainest thou?'

39 К аза им: Елате и ще видите. И така, дойдоха и видяха къде живее, и този ден останаха при Него. Беше около десетия час.

He saith to them, `Come and see;' they came, and saw where he doth remain, and with him they remained that day and the hour was about the tenth.

40 Е диният от двамата, които чуха от Йоан за Него и Го последваха, беше Андрей, брат на Симон Петър.

Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard from John, and followed him;

41 Т ой първо намери своя брат Симон и му каза: Намерихме Месия (което значи Христос).

this one doth first find his own brother Simon, and saith to him, `We have found the Messiah,' (which is, being interpreted, The Anointed,)

42 К ато го заведе при Исус, Той се вгледа в него и каза: Ти си Симон, син на Йона; ти ще се наричаш Кифа (което значи Петър).

and he brought him unto Jesus: and having looked upon him, Jesus saith, `Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas, thou shalt be called Cephas,' (which is interpreted, A rock.)

43 Н а другия ден Исус реши да отиде в Галилея; и намери Филип и му каза: Ела след Мен.

On the morrow, he willed to go forth to Galilee, and he findeth Philip, and saith to him, `Be following me.'

44 А Филип беше от Витсаида, от града на Андрей и Петър.

And Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter;

45 Ф илип намери Натанаил и му каза: Намерихме Онзи, за Когото писа Моисей в закона и за Когото писаха пророците, Исус, Йосифовия син, Който е от Назарет.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, `Him of whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the prophets, we have found, Jesus the son of Joseph, who from Nazareth;'

46 Н атанаил му каза: От Назарет може ли да произлезе нещо добро? Филип му отвърна: Ела и виж.

and Nathanael said to him, `Out of Nazareth is any good thing able to be?' Philip said to him, `Come and see.'

47 И сус видя Натанаил да идва към Него и каза за него: Ето истински израелтянин, у когото няма лукавство.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming unto him, and he saith concerning him, `Lo, truly an Israelite, in whom guile is not;'

48 Н атанаил Го попита: Откъде ме познаваш? Исус му отговори: Преди да те повика Филип, те видях, когато беше под смокинята.

Nathanael saith to him, `Whence me dost thou know?' Jesus answered and said to him, `Before Philip's calling thee -- thou being under the fig-tree -- I saw thee.'

49 Н атанаил му каза: Учителю, Ти си Божият Син, Ти си Израелевият Цар.

Nathanael answered and saith to him, `Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the king of Israel.'

50 И сус му отговори: Понеже ти казах: Видях те под смокинята, затова ли вярваш? Повече от това ще видиш.

Jesus answered and said to him, `Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, thou dost believe; greater things than these thou shalt see;'

51 И му каза: Истина, истина ви казвам: Отсега ще виждате небето отворено и Божиите ангели да се възкачват и слизат над Човешкия Син.

and he saith to him, `Verily, verily, I say to you, henceforth ye shall see the heaven opened, and the messengers of God going up and coming down upon the Son of Man.'
