1 Т огава Соломон събра при себе си в Йерусалим Израелевите старейшини и всички началници на племената, началниците на бащините домове на израелтяните, за да възнесат ковчега на Господния завет от Давидовия град, който е Сион.

Then doth Solomon assemble the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, princes of the fathers of the sons of Israel, unto king Solomon, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the city of David -- it Zion;

2 И така всички Израелеви мъже се събраха при цар Соломон на празника в месец Етаним, който е седмият месец.

and all the men of Israel are assembled unto king Solomon, in the month of Ethanim, in the festival -- the seventh month.

3 А когато дойдоха всички Израелеви старейшини, свещениците вдигнаха ковчега.

And all the elders of Israel come in, and the priests lift up the ark,

4 Т е занесоха Господния ковчег и шатъра за срещане с всичките святи принадлежности, които бяха в шатъра. Свещениците и левитите ги занесоха.

and bring up the ark of Jehovah, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that in the tent, yea, the priests and the Levites bring them up.

5 А цар Соломон и цялото Израелево общество, колкото се бяха събрали при него, бяха с него пред ковчега и пожертваха овце и говеда, които по броя си не можеха да се пресметнат или да се изброят.

And king Solomon and all the company of Israel who are met unto him with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that are not counted nor numbered for multitude.

6 Т ака свещениците внесоха ковчега на Господния завет на мястото му в светилището на дома, в пресвятото място, под крилата на херувимите.

And the priests bring in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah unto its place, unto the oracle of the house, unto the holy of holies, unto the place of the wings of the cherubs;

7 З ащото херувимите бяха с разперени крила над мястото на ковчега. Херувимите покриваха отгоре ковчега и върлините му.

for the cherubs are spreading forth two wings unto the place of the ark, and the cherubs cover over the ark, and over its staves from above;

8 И върлините бяха издадени, така че от святото място пред светилището се виждаха краищата им, но навън не се виждаха. Те са там и до днес.

and they lengthen the staves, and the heads of the staves are seen from the holy on the front of the oracle, and are not seen without, and they are there unto this day.

9 В ковчега нямаше друго освен двете каменни плочи, които Моисей положи там, на Хорив, където Господ сключи завет с израелтяните, когато бяха излезли от Египетската земя.

There is nothing in the ark, only the two tables of stone which Moses put there in Horeb, when Jehovah covenanted with the sons of Israel in their going out of the land of Egypt.

10 А щом свещениците излязоха от светилището, облакът изпълни Господния дом,

And it cometh to pass, in the going out of the priests from the holy, that the cloud hath filled the house of Jehovah,

11 т ака че поради облака свещениците не можеха да застанат, за да служат, защото Господнята слава изпълни Господния дом.

and the priests have not been able to stand to minister because of the cloud, for the honour of Jehovah hath filled the house of Jehovah.

12 Т огава Соломон каза: Господ е казал, че ще обитава в мрак.

Then said Solomon, `Jehovah hath said to dwell in thick darkness;

13 А з Ти построих дом за обитаване, място, в което да пребиваваш вечно. Реч и молитва на Соломон при освещаването на храма

I have surely built a house of habitation for Thee; a fixed place for Thine abiding to the ages.'

14 П осле царят обърна лицето си и благослови цялото Израелево общество, докато цялото Израелево общество стоеше на крака:

And the king turneth round his face, and blesseth the whole assembly of Israel; and all the assembly of Israel is standing.

15 Б лагословен да бъде Господ, Израелевият Бог, Който извърши с ръката Си онова, което говорѝ с устата Си на баща ми Давид:

And he saith, `Blessed Jehovah, God of Israel, who spake by His mouth with David my father, and by His hand hath fulfilled, saying,

16 О т деня, когато изведох народа Си Израел от Египет, не избрах измежду всички Израелеви племена нито един град, където да бъде построен дом, за да се настани името Ми там; но избрах Давид, за да бъде над народа Ми Израел.

From the day that I brought out My people, even Israel, from Egypt, I have not fixed on a city out of all the tribes of Israel, to build a house for My name being there; and I fix on David to be over My people Israel.

17 Б аща ми, Давид, имаше на сърце да построи дом за името на Господа, Израелевия Бог.

`And it is with the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah, God of Israel,

18 Н о Господ каза на баща ми Давид: Понеже пожела да построиш дом за името Ми, добре си направил, че това е дошло на сърцето ти.

and Jehovah saith unto David my father, Because that it hath been with thy heart to build a house for My name, thou hast done well that it hath been with thy heart;

19 Т и обаче няма да построиш дома, а синът ти, който ще излезе от чреслата ти. Той ще построи дома за името Ми.

only, thou dost not build the house, but thy son who is coming out from thy loins, he doth build the house for My name.

20 И така, Господ изпълни словото, което говорѝ. Като се издигнах аз вместо баща си Давид и седнах на Израелевия престол, както говорѝ Господ, построих дома за името на Господа, Израелевия Бог.

`And Jehovah doth establish His word which He spake, and I am risen up instead of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah spake, and build the house for the name of Jehovah, God of Israel,

21 И в него приготвих място за ковчега, в който е заветът, който Господ сключи с бащите ни, когато ги изведе от Египетската земя.

and set there a place for the ark, where the covenant of Jehovah which He made with our fathers in His bringing them out from the land of Egypt.'

22 Т огава Соломон застана пред Господния жертвеник пред цялото Израелево общество и като протегна ръцете си към небето, каза:

And Solomon standeth before the altar of Jehovah, over-against all the assembly of Israel, and spreadeth his hands towards the heavens,

23 Г осподи, Боже Израелев, няма горе на небето или долу на земята бог, подобен на Тебе, Който пазиш завета и милостта към слугите Си, които ходят пред Тебе с цялото си сърце.

and saith, `Jehovah, God of Israel, there is not a God like Thee, in the heavens above, and on the earth beneath, keeping the covenant and the kindness for Thy servants, those walking before Thee with all their heart,

24 Т и си изпълнил към слугата Си Давид, баща ми, това, което си му обещал - да! Каквото си говорил с устата Си, това си извършил с ръката Си, както се вижда днес.

who hast kept for Thy servant David my father that which Thou spakest to him; yea, Thou speakest with Thy mouth, and with Thy hand hast fulfilled, as this day.

25 С ега, Господи, Боже Израелев, изпълни спрямо баща ми, слугата Си Давид, онова, което си му обещал с думите: Няма да ти липсва мъж, който да седи пред Мене на Израелевия престол, ако само синовете ти внимават в пътя си, за да ходят пред Мене, както ти си ходил пред Мен.

`And now, Jehovah, God of Israel, keep for Thy servant David my father that which Thou spakest to him, saying, There is not cut off to thee a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel -- only, if thy sons watch their way, to walk before Me as thou hast walked before Me.

26 И така, сега, Боже Израелев, нека се потвърди словото, което си говорил на слугата Си, баща ми, Давид.

`And now, O God of Israel, let it be established, I pray Thee, Thy word which Thou hast spoken to Thy servant, David my father.

27 Н о Бог наистина ли ще обитава на земята? Ето, небето и небето на небесата не са достатъчни да Те поберат, а колко по-малко този дом, който построих!

But, is it true? -- God dwelleth on the earth! lo, the heavens, and the heavens of the heavens do not contain Thee, how much less this house which I have builded!

28 Н о пак погледни благосклонно към молитвата на слугата си и към молбата му, Господи, Боже мой. Послушай вика и молитвата, с която слугата Ти се моли днес пред Тебе.

`Then thou hast turned unto the prayer of Thy servant, and unto his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to hearken unto the cry and unto the prayer which Thy servant is praying before Thee to-day,

29 Н ека бъдат очите Ти нощем и денем, отворени към Твоя дом, към мястото, за което Ти си казал: Името Ми ще бъде там, за да слушаш молитвата, с която слугата Ти ще се моли на това място.

for Thine eyes being open towards this house night and day, towards the place of which Thou hast said, My Name is there; to hearken unto the prayer which Thy servant prayeth towards this place.

30 С лушай молбата на слугата Си и на народа Си Израел, когато се молят на това място - да! Слушай Ти от местообиталището Си, от небето, и като слушаш, бъди милостив.

`Then Thou hast hearkened unto the supplication of Thy servant, and of Thy people Israel, which they pray towards this place; yea, Thou dost hearken in the place of Thy dwelling, in the heavens -- and Thou hast hearkened, and hast forgiven,

31 А ко някой съгреши спрямо ближния си и му се наложи клетва, за да се закълне, и дойде и се закълне пред жертвеника Ти в този дом,

that which a man sinneth against his neighbour, and he hath lifted up upon him an oath to cause him to swear, and the oath hath come in before Thine altar in this house,

32 т огава Ти слушай от небето и стори, извърши правосъдие за слугите Си и осъди беззаконника, възвърни делото му върху главата му, а оправдай праведния, като му отдадеш според правдата му.

then Thou dost hear in the heavens, and hast done, and hast judged Thy servants, to declare wicked the wicked, to put his way on his head, and to declare righteous the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

33 К огато народът Ти Израел бъде разбит пред неприятеля по причина, че са съгрешили пред Теб, ако се обърнат към Теб и изповядат Твоето име, и принесат молитва, като Ти се помолят в този дом,

`In Thy people Israel being smitten before an enemy, because they sin against Thee, and they have turned back unto Thee, and have confessed Thy name, and prayed, and made supplication unto Thee in this house,

34 т огава Ти послушай от небето и прости греха на народа Си Израел и ги възвърни в земята, която си дал на бащите им.

then thou dost hear in the heavens, and hast forgiven the sin of Thy people Israel, and brought them back unto the ground that Thou gavest to their fathers.

35 К огато се затвори небето и не вали дъжд по причина, че са съгрешили пред Теб, ако се помолят на това място и изповядат Твоето име, и се обърнат от греховете си, понеже ги съкрушаваш,

`In the heavens being restrained, and there is no rain, because they sin against Thee, and they have prayed towards this place, and confessed Thy name, and from their sin turn back, for Thou dost afflict them,

36 т огава Ти послушай от небето и прости греха на слугите Си и на народа Си Израел и им покажи добрия път, по който трябва да ходят, и изпрати дъжд на земята Си, която Си дал в наследство на народа Си.

then Thou dost hear in the heavens, and hast forgiven the sin of Thy servants, and of Thy people Israel, for Thou directest them the good way in which they go, and hast given rain on Thy land which Thou hast given to Thy people for inheritance.

37 А ко настане глад на земята, ако настане мор, ако се появят изсушителен вятър, мана, скакалци или гъсеници, ако неприятелят им ги обсади в градовете на земята им - каквато и да е язвата, каквато и да е болестта, -

`Famine -- when it is in the land; pestilence -- when it is; blasting, mildew, locust; caterpillar -- when it is; when its enemy hath distressed it in the land its gates, any plague, any sickness, --

38 т огава всяка молитва, всяка молба, която би била принесена от който и да било човек или от целия Ти народ Израел, като всеки познае раната на своето сърце и протегне ръцете си към този дом,

any prayer, any supplication that of any man of all Thy people Israel, who know each the plague of his own heart, and hath spread his hands towards this house,

39 Т и послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си, и прости, и направи, и въздай на всеки според всичките му постъпки, като познаваш сърцето му (защото Ти, само Ти познаваш сърцата на целия човешки род),

then Thou dost hear in the heavens, the settled place of Thy dwelling, and hast forgiven, and hast done, and hast given to each according to all his ways, whose heart Thou knowest, (for Thou hast known -- Thyself alone -- the heart of all the sons of man),

40 з а да се боят от Тебе през цялото време, когато живеят на земята, която си дал на бащите ни.

so that they fear Thee all the days that they are living on the face of the ground that Thou hast given to our fathers.

41 О ще за чужденеца, който не е от народа Ти Израел, а идва от далечна страна, заради Твоето име

`And also, unto the stranger who is not of Thy people Israel, and hath come from a land afar off for Thy name's sake --

42 ( защото ще чуят за великото Ти име, за Твоята мощна ръка и за Твоята издигната мишца) - когато дойде и се помоли в този дом,

(for they hear of Thy great name, and of Thy strong hand, and of Thy stretched-out arm) -- and he hath come in and prayed towards this house,

43 Т и послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си, и направи според всичко, за което чужденецът Те призове; за да познаят името Ти всички народи на света, да се боят от Тебе, както народът Ти Израел, и да познаят, че с Твоето име бе наречен този дом, който построих.

Thou dost hear in the heavens, the settled place of Thy dwelling, and hast done according to all that the stranger calleth unto Thee for, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know Thy name, to fear Thee like Thy people Israel, and to know that Thy name hath been called on this house which I have builded.

44 А ко народът Ти излезе на бой против неприятеля си, където би ги пратил Ти, и се помолят на Господа, като се обърнат към града, който Ти си избрал, и към дома, който построих за Твоето име,

`When Thy people doth go out to battle against its enemy, in the way that Thou dost send them, and they have prayed unto Jehovah the way of the city which thou hast fixed on, and of the house which I have builded for Thy name;

45 т огава послушай от небето молитвата им и защити правото им.

then Thou hast heard in the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and hast maintained their cause.

46 А ко съгрешат пред Тебе (защото няма човек, който да не греши) и Ти се разгневиш на тях и ги предадеш на неприятеля, и поробителите им ги заведат като пленници в неприятелската земя, далеч или близо,

`When they sin against Thee (for there is not a man who sinneth not), and Thou hast been angry with them, and hast given them up before an enemy, and they have taken captive their captivity unto the land of the enemy far off or near;

47 в се пак, ако дойдат на себе си в земята, където са отведени като пленници, и се обърнат и Ти се помолят в земята на поробителите си, и кажат: Съгрешихме, беззаконствахме, извършихме неправда,

and they have turned back unto their heart in the land whither they have been taken captive, and have turned back, and made supplication unto Thee, in the land of their captors, saying, We have sinned and done perversely -- we have done wickedly;

48 и се обърнат към Тебе с цялото си сърце и цялата си душа в земята на неприятелите, които са ги пленили, и Ти се помолят, като се обърнат към земята, която си дал на бащите им, към града, който си избрал, и към дома, който построих за Твоето име,

yea, they have turned back unto Thee, with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and have prayed unto Thee the way of their land, which Thou gavest to their fathers, the city which Thou hast chosen, and the house which I have builded for Thy name:

49 т огава Ти послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си, молитвата им и молбата им, защити правото им

`Then Thou hast heard in the heavens, the settled place of Thy dwelling, their prayer and their supplication, and hast maintained their cause,

50 и прости на народа Си, който е съгрешил пред Тебе, всичките им престъпления, чрез които станаха престъпници против Теб. Умилостиви към тях враговете им, за да им покажат милост;

and hast forgiven Thy people who have sinned against Thee, even all their transgressions which they have transgressed against Thee, and hast given them mercies before their captors, and they have had mercy them --

51 з ащото те са Твой народ и Твое наследство, които си извел от Египет, от желязната пещ.

(for Thy people and Thy inheritance they, whom Thou didst bring out of Egypt, out of the midst of the furnace of iron) --

52 И така, нека очите Ти бъдат отворени към молбата на слугата Ти и към молбата на народа Ти Израел, за да ги слушаш, за каквото и да Те призоват;

for Thine eyes being open unto the supplication of Thy servant, and unto the supplication of Thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all they call unto Thee for;

53 з ащото Ти, Господи Йехова, си ги отделил от всички племена на света, за да бъдат Твое наследство, както говорѝ чрез слугата Си Моисей, когато изведе бащите ни от Египет.

for Thou hast separated them to Thyself for an inheritance, out of all the peoples of the earth, as Thou didst speak by the hand of Moses Thy servant, in Thy bringing out our fathers from Egypt, O Lord Jehovah.'

54 С лед като Соломон свърши да принася цялата тази молитва и прошение към Господа, стана отпред Господния жертвеник, където беше коленичил с ръце, протегнати към небето.

And it cometh to pass, at Solomon's finishing to pray unto Jehovah all this prayer and supplication, he hath risen from before the altar of Jehovah, from bending on his knees, and his hands spread out to the heavens,

55 И застана и благослови цялото Израелево общество, като каза:

and he standeth and blesseth all the assembly of Israel a loud voice, saying,

56 Б лагословен да бъде Господ, Който успокои народа Си Израел според всичко, което е обещал. Не пропадна нито едно от всичките добри обещания, които даде чрез слугата Си Моисей.

`Blessed Jehovah who hath given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He hath spoken; there hath not fallen one word of all His good word, which He spake by the hand of Moses his servant.

57 Д ано Господ, нашият Бог, бъде с нас, както е бил с бащите ни. Да не ни изостави, нито да ни отхвърли!

`Jehovah our God is with us as He hath been with our fathers; He doth not forsake us nor leave us;

58 Д а преклони сърцата ни към Себе Си, така че да ходим във всичките Му пътища и да пазим заповедите, наредбите и законите, които е заповядал на бащите ни!

to incline our heart unto Himself, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commands, and His statutes, and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers;

59 И тези думи, с които се помолих на Господа, нека бъдат денем и нощем близо до Господа, нашия Бог, за да защитава правото на слугата Си и правото на народа Си Израел според всекидневната нужда,

and these my words with which I have made supplication before Jehovah, are near unto Jehovah our God by day and by night, to maintain the cause of His servant, and the cause of His people Israel, the matter of a day in its day;

60 т ака че всички племена на света да познаят, че Йехова е Бог и няма друг.

for all the peoples of the earth knowing that Jehovah, He God; there is none else;

61 И така, нека вашите сърца бъдат съвършени спрямо Господа, нашия Бог, за да ходите в наредбите Му и да пазите заповедите Му, както правите днес.

and your heart hath been perfect with Jehovah our God, to walk in His statutes, and to keep His commands, as this day.'

62 Т огава царят заедно с целия Израел принесоха жертви пред Господа.

And the king and all Israel with him are sacrificing a sacrifice before Jehovah;

63 З а мирни жертви, които принесе на Господа, Соломон пожертва двадесет и две хиляди говеда и сто и двадесет хиляди овце. Така царят и всички израелтяни осветиха Господния дом.

and Solomon sacrificeth the sacrifice of peace-offerings, which he hath sacrificed to Jehovah, oxen, twenty and two thousand, and sheep, a hundred and twenty thousand; and the king and all the sons of Israel dedicate the house of Jehovah.

64 В същия ден царят освети средата на двора, който е към лицето на Господния дом. Там принесе всеизгарянето, хлебния принос и тлъстината на мирните приноси. Понеже медният жертвеник, който беше пред Господа, беше твърде малък, за да побере всеизгарянето, хлебния принос и тлъстината на мирните приноси.

On that day hath the king sanctified the middle of the court that before the house of Jehovah, for he hath made there the burnt-offering, and the present, and the fat of the peace-offerings; for the altar of brass that before Jehovah too little to contain the burnt-offering, and the present, and the fat of the peace-offerings.

65 П о този начин Соломон заедно с целия Израел - голям събор, събран от местностите от прохода на Емат до Египетския поток - спазваха в онова време празника пред Господа, нашия Бог, седем и седем дни, общо четиринадесет дни.

And Solomon maketh, at that time, the festival -- and all Israel with him, a great assembly from the entering in of Hamath unto the brook of Egypt -- before Jehovah our God, seven days and seven days; fourteen days.

66 А на осмия ден Соломон разпусна народа. Те благословиха царя и си отидоха в шатрите с радостни и весели сърца поради всичкото добро, което Господ беше показал към слугата Си Давид и към народа Си Израел.

On the eighth day he hath sent the people away, and they bless the king, and go to their tents, rejoicing and glad of heart for all the good that Jehovah hath done to David His servant, and to Israel His people.
