1 К огато някой вземе жена и се ожени за нея, ако тя не му хареса, защото той намира в нея нещо грозно, тогава да ѝ напише разводно писмо и като ѝ го връчи, да я изпрати от къщата си.

`When a man doth take a wife, and hath married her, and it hath been, if she doth not find grace in his eyes (for he hath found in her nakedness of anything), and he hath written for her a writing of divorce, and given into her hand, and sent her out of his house,

2 А тя, като излезе от къщата му, може да иде и да се омъжи за друг мъж.

and she hath gone out of his house, and hath gone and been another man's,

3 Н о ако я намрази и вторият мъж и ѝ напише разводно писмо, и като ѝ го даде, я изпрати от дома си, или ако умре вторият мъж, който я е взел за своя жена,

and the latter man hath hated her, and written for her a writing of divorce, and given into her hand, and sent her out of his house, or when the latter man dieth, who hath taken her to himself for a wife:

4 т о първият ѝ мъж, който я е напуснал, не може да я вземе пак за жена, понеже е осквернена; защото това е мерзост пред Господа. Така да не навличаш грях на земята, която Господ, твоят Бог, ти дава в наследство.

`Her former husband who sent her away is not able to turn back to take her to be to him for a wife, after that she hath become defiled; for an abomination it before Jehovah, and thou dost not cause the land to sin which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee -- an inheritance.

5 А ко някой се е оженил наскоро, да не отива на война и да не му се възлага нищо; нека бъде свободен у дома си една година и нека да весели жената, която си е взел.

`When a man taketh a new wife, he doth not go out into the host, and doth not pass over unto him for anything; free he is at his own house one year, and hath rejoiced his wife whom he hath taken.

6 Н икой да не взема в залог мелница, нито горния ѝ камък; защото с това той взема живот в залог.

`None doth take in pledge millstones, and rider, for life it he is taking in pledge.

7 А ко се установи, че някой е отвлякъл човек от сънародниците си, израелтяните, и го е поробил или го е продал, тогава този крадец да умре; така да премахнеш злото.

`When a man is found stealing a person, of his brethren, of the sons of Israel, and hath tyrannized over him, and sold him, then hath that thief died, and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.

8 Щ о се отнася до проказата, да спазваш и да постъпваш според всичко, което ви учат левитските свещеници; внимавайте да правите така, както съм им заповядал.

`Take heed, in the plague of leprosy, to watch greatly, and to do according to all that the priests, the Levites, teach you; as I have commanded them ye observe to do;

9 П омни какво направи Господ, твоят Бог, на Мариам по пътя, когато излязохте от Египет.

remember that which Jehovah thy God hath done to Miriam in the way, in your coming out of Egypt.

10 К огато заемеш нещо на ближния си, да не влизаш в къщата му, за да вземеш залог за него.

`When thou liftest up on thy brother a debt of anything, thou dost not go in unto his house to obtain his pledge;

11 О стани отвън и човекът, на когото заемаш, нека ти изнесе залога.

at the outside thou dost stand, and the man on whom thou art lifting up is bringing out unto thee the pledge at the outside.

12 И ако човекът е сиромах, да не си легнеш да спиш със залога му при себе си.

`And if he is a poor man, thou dost not lie down with his pledge;

13 Н епременно да му върнеш залога до залез слънце, за да спи той с дрехата си и да те благослови; и това ще ти се сметне за правда пред Господа, твоя Бог.

thou dost certainly give back to him the pledge at the going in of the sun, and he hath lain down in his own raiment, and hath blessed thee; and to thee it is righteousness before Jehovah thy God.

14 Д а не онеправдаваш някой наемник, беден и сиромах, бил той от братята ти или от чужденците, които са в земята ти в градовете ти.

`Thou dost not oppress a hireling, poor and needy, of thy brethren or of thy sojourner who is in thy land within thy gates;

15 С ъщия ден му дай заплатата, преди изгрев слънце, защото е сиромах и на нея се надява; за да не извика против тебе към Господа и това да ти се сметне за грях.

in his day thou dost give his hire, and the sun doth not go in upon it, for he poor, and unto it he is lifting up his soul, and he doth not cry against thee unto Jehovah, and it hath been in thee -- sin.

16 Б ащите да не бъдат убивани заради децата, нито децата да бъдат убивани заради бащите; всеки заради собствения си грях да бъде умъртвяван.

`Fathers are not put to death for sons, and sons are not put to death for fathers -- each for his own sin, they are put to death.

17 Д а не изкривяваш правосъдието, дължимо на чужденеца или на сирачето, и да не вземаш дрехата на вдовицата в залог;

`Thou dost not turn aside the judgment of a fatherless sojourner, nor take in pledge the garment of a widow;

18 а да помниш, че ти си бил роб в Египет и че Господ, твоят Бог, те е избавил оттам; затова Аз ти заповядвам да вършиш това.

and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in Egypt, and Jehovah thy God doth ransom thee from thence; therefore I am commanding thee to do this thing.

19 К огато жънеш нивите си и забравиш някой сноп на нивата, да не се връщаш, за да го вземеш; нека остане за чужденеца, за сирачето и за вдовицата; за да те благославя Господ, твоят Бог, във всичко, което вършиш.

`When thou reapest thy harvest in thy field, and hast forgotten a sheaf in a field, thou dost not turn back to take it; to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, it is; so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all the work of thy hands.

20 К огато брулиш маслините си, да не отърсваш повторно клоните; останалото нека бъде за чужденеца, за сирачето и за вдовицата.

`When thou beatest thine olive, thou dost not examine the branch behind thee; to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, it is.

21 К огато обираш лозето си, да не се връщаш да го береш повторно; останалото нека да бъде за чужденеца, за сирачето и за вдовицата.

`When thou cuttest thy vineyard, thou dost not glean behind thee; to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, it is;

22 П омни, че си бил роб в Египетската земя; затова Аз ти заповядвам да постъпваш така.

and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in the land of Egypt; therefore I am commanding thee to do this thing.
