1 С лед това Исус влезе в Йерихон и минаваше през града.

And having entered, he was passing through Jericho,

2 И , ето, един човек на име Закхей, който беше началник на бирниците и беше богат,

and lo, a man, by name called Zaccheus, and he was a chief tax-gatherer, and he was rich,

3 и скаше да види Кой е Исус, но не можеше поради навалицата, защото беше нисък на ръст.

and he was seeking to see Jesus, who he is, and was not able for the multitude, because in stature he was small,

4 И се завтече напред и се покачи на една дива смокиня, за да Го види; понеже щеше да мине през онзи път.

and having run forward before, he went up on a sycamore, that he may see him, because through that he was about to pass by.

5 И сус, като дойде на това място, погледна нагоре и му каза: Закхей, слез бързо, защото днес трябва да отседна в дома ти.

And as Jesus came up to the place, having looked up, he saw him, and said unto him, `Zaccheus, having hastened, come down, for to-day in thy house it behoveth me to remain;'

6 И той побърза да слезе и Го прие с радост.

and he having hastened did come down, and did receive him rejoicing;

7 И като видяха това, всички роптаеха и казваха: Отби се при грешен човек.

and having seen, they were all murmuring, saying -- `With a sinful man he went in to lodge!'

8 А Закхей стана и каза на Господа: Господи, ето, отсега давам половината от имота си на сиромасите; и ако някак съм ограбил някого, връщам му четворно.

And Zaccheus having stood, said unto the Lord, `Lo, the half of my goods, sir, I give to the poor, and if of any one anything I did take by false accusation, I give back fourfold.'

9 И Исус му каза: Днес стана спасение на този дом; защото и този е Авраамов син.

And Jesus said unto him -- `To-day salvation did come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;

10 П онеже Човешкият Син дойде да потърси и да спаси погиналото. Притча за десетте слуги

for the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.'

11 И като слушаха това, Той продължи да говори и каза една притча, защото беше близо до Йерусалим и те си мислеха, че Божието царство веднага ще се яви.

And while they are hearing these things, having added he spake a simile, because of his being nigh to Jerusalem, and of their thinking that the reign of God is about presently to be made manifest.

12 З атова каза: Някой си благородник отиде в далечна страна да получи за себе си царска власт и да се върне.

He said therefore, `A certain man of birth went on to a far country, to take to himself a kingdom, and to return,

13 И повика десетима от слугите си и им даде десет мнаси; и им каза: Търгувайте с това, докато дойда.

and having called ten servants of his own, he gave to them ten pounds, and said unto them, Do business -- till I come;

14 Н о неговите граждани го мразеха и изпратиха след него посланици да кажат: Не искаме този да царува над нас.

and his citizens were hating him, and did send an embassy after him, saying, We do not wish this one to reign over us.

15 А като получи царската власт и се върна, заповяда да повикат при него онези слуги, на които бе дал парите, за да знае какво са припечелили чрез търгуване.

`And it came to pass, on his coming back, having taken the kingdom, that he commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he gave the money, that he might know what any one had done in business.

16 И така, дойде първият и каза: Господарю, твоята мнаса спечели десет мнаси.

`And the first came near, saying, Sir, thy pound did gain ten pounds;

17 И му каза: Хубаво, добър слуга! Понеже в твърде малкото се показа верен, имай власт над десет града.

and he said to him, Well done, good servant, because in a very little thou didst become faithful, be having authority over ten cities.

18 Д ойде и вторият и каза: Господарю, твоята мнаса принесе пет мнаси.

`And the second came, saying, Sir, thy pound made five pounds;

19 А каза и на него: Бъди и ти над пет града.

and he said also to this one, And thou, become thou over five cities.

20 Д ойде и друг и каза: Господарю, ето твоята мнаса, която пазих скътана в кърпа,

`And another came, saying, Sir, lo, thy pound, that I had lying away in a napkin;

21 з ащото се боях от тебе, понеже си строг човек; взимаш това, което не си положил, и жънеш, което не си посял.

for I was afraid of thee, because thou art an austere man; thou takest up what thou didst not lay down, and reapest what thou didst not sow.

22 Г осподарят му каза: От устата ти ще те съдя, зъл слуга. Знаел си, че съм строг човек, който вземам това, което не съм положил, и жъна, което не съм сял;

`And he saith to him, Out of thy mouth I will judge thee, evil servant: thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow!

23 т огава защо не вложи парите ми в банката; и аз, като си дойдех, щях да ги прибера с лихвата?

and wherefore didst thou not give my money to the bank, and I, having come, with interest might have received it?

24 И каза на стоящите до него: Вземете от него мнасата и я дайте на този, който има десет мнаси.

`And to those standing by he said, Take from him the pound, and give to him having the ten pounds --

25 ( Казаха му: Господарю, той има вече десет мнаси!)

(and they said to him, Sir, he hath ten pounds) --

26 К азвам ви, че на всеки, който има, ще се даде; а от този, който няма, от него ще се отнеме и това, което има.

for I say to you, that to every one having shall be given, and from him not having, also what he hath shall be taken from him,

27 А онези мои неприятели, които не искаха да царувам над тях, доведете ги тук и ги посечете пред мен.

but those my enemies, who did not wish me to reign over them, bring hither and slay before me.'

28 И като изрече това, Исус тръгна напред, като се изкачваше към Йерусалим. Тържественото влизане в Йерусалим

And having said these things, he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.

29 И когато се приближи до Витфагия и Витания, до хълма, наречен Елеонски, прати двама от учениците и им каза:

And it came to pass, as he came nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, unto the mount called of the Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

30 И дете в селото, което е насреща ви, в което, като влизате, ще намерите едно вързано осле, което никой човек не е възсядал; отвържете го и го докарайте.

having said, Go away to the village over-against, in which, entering into, ye shall find a colt bound, on which no one of men did ever sit, having loosed it, bring;

31 И ако някой ви попита: Защо го отвързвате?, кажете така: На Господа трябва.

and if any one doth question you, Wherefore do ye loose ? thus ye shall say to him -- The Lord hath need of it.'

32 И изпратените отидоха и намериха всичко, както им бе казал.

And those sent, having gone away, found according as he said to them,

33 И като отвързваха ослето, стопаните попитаха: Защо отвързвате ослето?

and while they are loosing the colt, its owners said unto them, `Why loose ye the colt?'

34 А те отвърнаха: На Господа трябва.

and they said, `The Lord hath need of it;'

35 И го докараха при Исус; и като намятаха дрехите си на ослето, качиха Исус.

and they brought it unto Jesus, and having cast their garments upon the colt, they did set Jesus upon it.

36 И когато Той минаваше, хората постилаха дрехите си по пътя.

And as he is going, they were spreading their garments in the way,

37 А когато вече се приближаваше до превала на Елеонския хълм, цялото множество ученици почнаха да се радват и велегласно да славят Бога за всички велики дела, които бяха видели, и казваха:

and as he is coming nigh now, at the descent of the mount of the Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began rejoicing to praise God with a great voice for all the mighty works they had seen,

38 Б лагословен Царят, Който иде в Господнето име! Мир на небето и слава във висините!

saying, `blessed he who is coming, a king in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.'

39 А някои фарисеи от множеството Му казаха: Учителю, смъмри учениците Си.

And certain of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, `Teacher, rebuke thy disciples;'

40 И Той отговори: Казвам ви, че ако тези млъкнат, то камъните ще извикат.

and he answering said to them, `I say to you, that, if these shall be silent, the stones will cry out!'

41 И като се приближи и видя града, плака за него и каза:

And when he came nigh, having seen the city, he wept over it,

42 Е х, ако ти бе познал поне в този ден това, което служи за мира ти! Но сега това е скрито от очите ти.

saying -- `If thou didst know, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things for thy peace; but now they were hid from thine eyes.

43 З ащото ще настанат за тебе дни, когато твоите неприятели ще издигнат валове около тебе, ще те обсадят, ще те притиснат отвред

`Because days shall come upon thee, and thine enemies shall cast around thee a rampart, and compass thee round, and press thee on every side,

44 и ще те разорят, и ще избият жителите ти в теб, и няма да оставят в тебе камък върху камък; защото ти не разпозна времето, когато беше посетен.

and lay thee low, and thy children within thee, and they shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone, because thou didst not know the time of thy inspection.'

45 И като влезе в храма, започна да пъди онези, които продаваха; и им казваше: Изгонването на търговците от храма

And having entered into the temple, he began to cast forth those selling in it, and those buying,

46 П исано е: "И домът Ми ще бъде молитвен дом"; а вие го направихте "разбойнически вертеп".

saying to them, `It hath been written, My house is a house of prayer -- but ye made it a den of robbers.'

47 И поучаваше всеки ден в храма. А главните свещеници, книжниците и водачите на народа се стараеха да Го погубят.

And he was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests and the scribes were seeking to destroy him -- also the chiefs of the people --

48 Н о не намериха какво да направят, понеже целият народ се прилепваше към Него и Го слушаше.

and they were not finding what they shall do, for all the people were hanging on him, hearing him.
