1 А тези са заключителните Давидови думи: Давид, Есеевият син, каза: Мъжът, който беше издигнат нависоко, помазаникът на Бога Яковов и сладкият Израелев псалмопевец, каза:

And these the last words of David: -- `The affirmation of David son of Jesse -- And the affirmation of the man raised up -- Concerning the Anointed of the God of Jacob, And the Sweetness of the Songs of Israel:

2 Д ухът на Господа говорѝ чрез мен и словото Му дойде на езика ми.

The Spirit of Jehovah hath spoken by me, And His word on my tongue.

3 Б ог Израелев каза, Скалата Израелева ми говори: Онзи, който владее над хора, нека бъде праведен. Нека бъде един, който владее със страх от Бога.

He said -- the God of Israel -- to me, He spake -- the Rock of Israel: He who is ruling over man righteous, He is ruling in the fear of God.

4 И ще бъде като утринната виделина, когато изгрява слънцето в безоблачна зора, като трева, която никне от земята от сиянието, което блясва след дъжд.

And as the light of morning he riseth, A morning sun -- no clouds! By the shining, by the rain, Tender grass of the earth!

5 Д ори домът ми да не е такъв пред Бога, пак Той е сключил с мене вечен завет, нареден във всичко, твърд и неизменим. От Него произлиза цялото ми спасение и цялото ми желание. И няма ли да го направи да процъфти?

For -- not so my house with God; For -- a covenant age-during He made with me, Arranged in all things, and kept; For -- all my salvation, and all desire, For -- He hath not caused to spring up.

6 А всички беззаконници ще бъдат като тръни, които се изхвърлят. Защото с ръце не се хващат,

As to the worthless -- As a thorn driven away all of them, For -- not by hand are they taken;

7 а който се допре до тях, трябва да е въоръжен с желязо или с дръжка на копие. И ще бъдат изгорени с огън на самото си място. Изброяване на храбрите Давидови войни

And the man who cometh against them Is filled with iron and the staff of a spear, And with fire they are utterly burnt In the cessation.'

8 Е то имената на силните мъже, които имаше Давид: тахмонецът Йосев-васевет, главен военачалник, който уби в една битка осемстотин души.

These the names of the mighty ones whom David hath: sitting in the seat the Tachmonite, head of the captains -- he Adino, who hardened himself against eight hundred -- wounded at one time.

9 С лед него беше Елеазар, син на Додо, син на един ахохиец, един от тримата силни мъже с Давид. Когато Израелевите мъже се оттеглиха, след като се бяха заканили на събраните там на бой филистимци,

And after him Eleazar son of Dodo, son of Ahohi, of the three mighty men with David; in their exposing themselves among the Philistines -- they have been gathered there to battle, and the men of Israel go up --

10 т ой стана и поразяваше филистимците, докато ръката му изнемощя и се залепи за меча; така че в онзи ден Господ извърши голямо избавление и народът се върна само за да събере плячката след него.

he hath arisen, and smiteth among the Philistines till that his hand hath been weary, and his hand cleaveth unto the sword, and Jehovah worketh a great salvation on that day, and the people turn back after him only to strip off.

11 С ледващият беше Сама, син на арареца Агей. Когато филистимците се бяха събрали в Лехий, където имаше парче земя, засадено с леща, и народът побегна от филистимците,

And after him Shammah son of Agee the Hararite, and the Philistines are gathered into a company, and there is there a portion of the field full of lentiles, and the people hath fled from the presence of the Philistines,

12 т ой застана сред нивата и я защити. И порази филистимците и Господ извърши голямо избавление.

and he stationeth himself in the midst of the portion, and delivereth it, and smiteth the Philistines, and Jehovah worketh a great salvation.

13 А още трима от тридесетте военачалници слязоха и дойдоха при Давид при Одоломската пещера в жътвено време. Филистимският стан беше разположен в Рафаимската долина.

And three of the thirty heads go down and come unto the harvest, unto David, unto the cave of Adullam, and the company of the Philistines are encamping in the valley of Rephaim,

14 Д авид беше по това време при канарата, а филистимският гарнизон беше тогава във Витлеем.

and David then in a fortress, and the station of the Philistines then in Beth-Lehem,

15 Д авид, като поиска да пие, каза: Кой би ми дал да пия вода от витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата?

and David longeth and saith, `Who doth give me a drink of the water of the well of Beth-Lehem, which by the gate?'

16 Т ези трима силни мъже пробиха филистимския стан и наляха вода от витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата, и я донесоха на Давид. Но той отказа да я пие, а я изля пред Господа, като каза:

And the three mighty ones cleave through the camp of the Philistines, and draw water out of the well of Beth-Lehem, which by the gate, and take up, and bring in unto David; and he was not willing to drink it, and poureth it out to Jehovah,

17 Д алече да бъде от мене, Господи, да направя аз това! Да пия ли кръвта на мъжете, които ходиха с опасност за живота си? Затова отказа да я пие. Това сториха тези трима силни мъже.

and saith, `Far be it from me, O Jehovah, to do this; is it the blood of the men who are going with their lives?' and he was not willing to drink it; these did the three mighty ones.

18 А Йоавовият брат Ависей, Серуиният син, беше първият от тримата. Той, като замахваше с копието си против триста души неприятели, ги уби и името му се прочу между тримата.

And Abishai brother of Joab, son of Zeruiah, he head of three, and he is lifting up his spear against three hundred -- wounded, and he hath a name among three.

19 Н е беше ли той най-славният от тримата? Затова им стана началник; обаче не стигна до славата на първите трима.

Of the three is he not the honoured? and he becometh their head; and unto the three he hath not come.

20 И Ванайя, син на Йодай, син на един храбър мъж от Кавсеил, който беше извършил храбри дела, уби двамата моавски мъже, които се биеха като лъвове. Той също така слезе и уби лъва сред рова в многоснежния ден.

And Benaiah son of Jehoiada (son of a man of valour, great in deeds from Kabzeel), he hath smitten two lion-like men of Moab, and he hath gone down and smitten the lion in the midst of the pit in a day of snow.

21 П ри това той уби египтянина, едрия мъж, който държеше в ръката си копие. А той слезе при него само с тояга и като грабна копието от ръката на египтянина, го уби със собственото му копие.

And he hath smitten the Egyptian man, a man of appearance, and in the hand of the Egyptian a spear, and he goeth down unto him with a rod, and taketh violently away the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slayeth him with his own spear.

22 Т ези неща стори Ванайя, Йодаевият син, и си придоби име между тези трима силни мъже.

These hath Benaiah son of Jehoiada done, and hath a name among three mighty.

23 П о-славен беше от тринадесетте, но не достигна до славата на първите трима. И Давид го постави над телохранителите си.

Of the thirty he is honoured, and unto the three he came not; and David setteth him over his guard.

24 А саил, Йоавовият брат, беше между тридесетте. Между тях бяха също и: Елханан, син на Додо от Витлеем;

Asahel brother of Joab of the thirty; Elhanan son of Dodo of Beth-Lehem.

25 С ама ародецът; Елика ародецът;

Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

26 Х елис фалтянинът; Ирас, син на текоеца Екис;

Helez the Paltite, Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

27 А виезер анатонецът; Мевунай кусатецът;

Abiezer the Annethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

28 С алмон ахохиецът; Маарай нетофатецът;

Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

29 Х елев, син на нетофатеца Ваана; Итай, син на Ривай от Гавая на вениаминците;

Heleb son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ittai son of Ribai from Gibeah of the sons of Benjamin,

30 В анайя пиратонецът; Идай от долината на Гаас;

Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,

31 А ви-алвон арветецът; Азмавет варумецът;

Abi-Albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

32 Е лиав саалвонецът; Йонатан от Ясиновите синове;

Eliahba the Shaalbonite, the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

33 С ама арорецът; Ахаим, син на арореца Сарар;

Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam son of Sharar the Hararite,

34 Е лифелет, син на Аасве, син на маахатец; Елиам, син на гилонеца Ахитофел;

Eliphelet son of Ahasbai, son of the Maachathite, Eliam son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

35 Е срай кармилецът; Фаарай арвиецът;

Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

36 И гал, син на Натан от Сова; Ваний гадецът;

Igal son of Nathan from Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

37 С илек амонецът; оръженосец на Йоав, Саруиния син; Наарай виротецът;

Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, bearer of the weapons of Joab son of Zeruiah,

38 И рас йетерецът; Гарив йетерецът и

Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,

39 У рия хетът; всичко тридесет и седем души.

Uriah the Hittite; in all thirty and seven.
