1 С лед тези събития, като се укроти яростта на цар Асуир, той си спомни за Астин и за онова, което беше направила, и какво беше решено против нея.

After these things, at the ceasing of the fury of the king Ahasuerus, he hath remembered Vashti, and that which she did, and that which hath been decreed concerning her;

2 Т огава слугите, които слугуваха на царя, казаха: Нека бъдат потърсени за царя красиви млади девици;

and servants of the king, his ministers, say, `Let them seek for the king young women, virgins, of good appearance,

3 и нека царят назначи чиновници по всички области на царството си, които да съберат в столицата Суса, в женската къща, всички красиви млади девици под надзора на царския евнух Игай, пазач на жените; и нека им бъдат дадени нещата, които са им необходими за приглаждане.

and the king doth appoint inspectors in all provinces of his kingdom, and they gather every young woman -- virgin, of good appearance -- unto Shushan the palace, unto the house of the women, unto the hand of Hege eunuch of the king, keeper of the women, and to give their purifications,

4 А девицата, която се хареса на царя, нека стане царица вместо Астин. И това беше угодно на царя; и той направи така.

and the young woman who is good in the eyes of the king doth reign instead of Vashti;' and the thing is good in the eyes of the king, and he doth so.

5 В столицата Суса имаше един юдеин на име Мардохей, син на Яир, син на Семей, син на Киса, вениаминец,

A man, a Jew, there hath been in Shushan the palace, and his name Mordecai son of Jair, son of Shimei, son of Kish, a Benjamite --

6 к ойто беше откаран от Йерусалим с пленниците, които бяха отведени с Юдейския цар Ехония, които вавилонският цар Навуходоносор беше откарал.

who had been removed from Jerusalem with the removal that was removed with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed --

7 Т ой отглеждаше Адаса (която е Естир), дъщерята на чичо си, защото тя нямаше нито баща, нито майка. Момичето беше прилично и красиво; и когато баща му и майка му умряха, Мардохей го взе за своя дъщеря.

and he is supporting Hadassah -- she Esther -- daughter of his uncle, for she hath neither father nor mother, and the young woman of fair form, and of good appearance, and at the death of her father and her mother hath Mordecai taken her to him for a daughter.

8 И така, когато се разчу заповедта и указът на царя и когато бяха събрани много момичета в столицата Суса под надзора на Игай, доведоха и Естир в царската къща, под надзора на Игай, пазача на жените.

And it cometh to pass, in the word of the king, even his law, being heard, and in many young women being gathered unto Shushan the palace, unto the hand of Hegai, that Esther is taken unto the house of the king, unto the hand of Hegai, keeper of the women,

9 И момичето му се хареса и придоби неговото благоволение; и той побърза да ѝ даде от царската къща нещата, необходими за приглаждането ѝ, както и нейния дял, също и седемте момичета, които подобаваше да ѝ бъдат дадени; и премести нея и момичетата ѝ в най-доброто помещение на женската къща.

and the young woman is good in his eyes, and she receiveth kindness before him, and he hasteneth her purifications and her portions -- to give to her, and the seven young women who are provided -- to give to her, from the house of the king, and he changeth her and her young women to a good the house of the women.

10 Е стир не беше говорила за народа си, нито за рода си; защото Мардохей ѝ беше заръчал да не казва.

Esther hath not declared her people, and her kindred, for Mordecai hath laid a charge on her that she doth not declare;

11 М ардохей ходеше всеки ден пред двора на женската къща, за да научава как е Естир и какво ще стане с нея.

and during every day Mordecai is walking up and down before the court of the house of the women to know the welfare of Esther, and what is done with her.

12 А когато дойдеше ред на всяка девица да влезе при цар Асуир, след като беше стояла дванадесет месеца в женската къща според нареденото за жените (защото така се използваше времето на приглаждането им - шест месеца се мажеха със смирнено масло и шест месеца с аромати и други неща за приглаждане на жените),

And in the drawing nigh of the turn of each young woman to come in unto the king Ahasuerus, at the end of there being to her -- according to the law of the women -- twelve months, for so they fulfil the days of their purifications; six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with spices, and with the purifications of women,

13 т огава, така приготвена, девицата влизаше при царя, всичко, каквото поискаше, ѝ беше давано да го занесе със себе си от женската къща в къщата на царя.

and with this the young woman hath come in unto the king, all that she saith is given to her, to go in with her, out of the house of the women, unto the house of the king;

14 В ечер влизаше, а сутрин се връщаше във втората женска къща под надзора на Саасгаз, царския евнух, който пазеше наложниците; тя не влизаше вече при царя, освен ако царят я поискаше и бъдеше повикана по име.

in the evening she hath gone in, and in the morning she hath turned back unto the second house of the women, unto the hand of Shaashgaz eunuch of the king, keeper of the concubines; she cometh not in any more unto the king except the king hath delighted in her, and she hath been called by name.

15 А когато дойде редът да влезе при царя Естир, дъщеря на Авихаил, чичо на Мардохей, която той беше взел за своя дъщеря, тя не поиска друго, освен каквото определи царският евнух Игай, пазачът на жените. И Естир придобиваше благоволението на всички, които я гледаха.

And in the drawing nigh of the turn of Esther -- daughter of Abihail, uncle of Mordecai, whom he had taken to him for a daughter -- to come in unto the king, she hath not sought a thing except that which Hegai eunuch of the king, keeper of the women, saith, and Esther is receiving grace in the eyes of all seeing her.

16 И така, Естир беше заведена при цар Асуир в царския му дом в десетия месец, който е месец Тевет, в седмата година от царуването му.

And Esther is taken unto the king Ahasuerus, unto his royal house, in the tenth month -- it the month of Tebeth -- in the seventh year of his reign,

17 И царят възлюби Естир повече от всичките жени; тя придоби неговото благоволение и милост повече от всичките девици; и той сложи царската корона на главата ѝ и я направи царица вместо Астин.

and the king loveth Esther above all the women, and she receiveth grace and kindness before him above all the virgins, and he setteth a royal crown on her head, and causeth her to reign instead of Vashti,

18 Т огава царят направи голямо угощение на всичките си първенци и на служителите си, угощение в чест на Естир; и определи деня за празник на областите и даде подаръци, както подобаваше на царя. Мардохей спасява живота на царя

and the king maketh a great banquet to all his heads and his servants -- the banquet of Esther -- and a release to the provinces hath made, and giveth gifts as a memorial of the king.

19 К огато девиците се събраха втори път, тогава Мардохей седеше в царската порта.

And in the virgins being gathered a second time, then Mordecai is sitting in the gate of the king;

20 Е стир не беше говорила за рода си, нито за народа си, както ѝ беше заръчал Мардохей, защото Естир изпълняваше заповедта на Мардохей, както когато беше в неговия дом.

Esther is not declaring her kindred and her people, as Mordecai hath laid a charge upon her, and the saying of Mordecai Esther is doing as when she was truly with him.

21 В тези дни, когато Мардохей седеше в царската порта, двама от царските евнуси, Вихтан и Терес, от онези, които пазеха входа, се разгневиха и поискаха да сложат ръка върху цар Асуир.

In those days, when Mordecai is sitting in the gate of the king, hath Bigthan been wroth, and Teresh, (two of the eunuchs of the king, the keepers of the threshold,) and they seek to put forth a hand on king Ahasuerus,

22 А това стана известно на Мардохей и той го съобщи на царица Естир; а Естир съобщи на царя от името на Мардохей.

and the thing is known to Mordecai, and he declareth to Esther the queen, and Esther speaketh to the king in the name of Mordecai,

23 И като изследваха работата и намериха, че беше така, и двамата бяха обесени на дърво; и събитието бе записано в книгата на летописите пред царя.

and the thing is sought out, and found, and they are hanged both of them on a tree, and it is written in the book of the Chronicles before the king.
