1 В осемнадесетата година от царуването на Еровоам, Наватовия син, Авия се възцари над Юдея

And in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam son of Nebat, reigned hath Abijam over Judah;

2 и царува̀ три години в Йерусалим. Името на майка му беше Мааха, Авесаломова дъщеря.

three years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Maachah daughter of Abishalom;

3 Т ой вършеше всички грехове, които баща му беше сторил преди него. Сърцето му не беше съвършено пред Господа, неговия Бог, както сърцето на баща му Давид.

and he walketh in all the sins of his father, that he did before him, and his heart hath not been perfect with Jehovah his God, as the heart of David his father;

4 Н о заради Давид Господ, неговият Бог, му даде светилник в Йерусалим, като издигна сина му след него и утвърди Йерусалим.

but for David's sake hath Jehovah his God given to him a lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem,

5 З ащото Давид стори онова, което беше право пред Господа, и през всички дни на живота си не се отклоняваше от нищо, което му заповяда, освен в делото относно хета Урия.

in that David did that which right in the eyes of Jehovah, and turned not aside from all that He commanded him all days of his life -- only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite;

6 И между Ровоам и Еровоам имаше война през всички дни на Ровоамовия живот.

and war hath been between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

7 А останалите дела на Авия и всичко, което извърши, са записани в книгата на Юдейските царе. Имаше война и между Авия и Еровоам.

And the rest of the matters of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah? And war hath been between Abijam and Jeroboam;

8 И Авия заспа с бащите си и го погребаха в Давидовия град. Вместо него се възцари синът му Аса. Юдейското царство при Аса

and Abijam lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in the city of David, and reign doth Asa his son in his stead.

9 А са се възцари над Юдея в двадесетата година на Израелевия цар Еровоам

And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned hath Asa over Judah,

10 и царува̀ в Йерусалим четиридесет и една години. Името на майка му беше Ана̀, Авесаломова дъщеря.

and forty and one years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Maachah daughter of Abishalom.

11 И Аса вършѝ това, което беше право пред Господа, както баща му Давид.

And Asa doth that which right in the eyes of Jehovah, like David his father,

12 Т ой премахна мъжеложниците от земята и вдигна всичките идоли, които бяха направили бащите му.

and removeth the whoremongers out of the land, and turneth aside all the idols that his fathers made;

13 О свен това свали и майка си Ана̀ да не бъде царица, понеже тя беше направила отвратителен идол на Ашера. Аса съсече нейния идол и го изгори при потока Кедрон.

and also Maachah his mother -- he turneth her aside from being mistress, in that she made a horrible thing for a shrine, and Asa cutteth down her horrible thing, and burneth by the brook Kidron;

14 Н о високите места не бяха премахнати. Сърцето на Аса обаче беше съвършено пред Господа през всичките му дни.

and the high places have not turned aside; only, the heart of Asa hath been perfect with Jehovah all his days,

15 Т ой донесе в Господния дом посветените от баща му и от самия него вещи, сребро, злато и съдове.

and he bringeth in the sanctified things of his father, and his own sanctified things, to the house of Jehovah, silver, and gold, and vessels.

16 А между Аса и Израелевия цар Ваас имаше война през всичките им дни.

And war hath been between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days,

17 И зраелевият цар Ваас, като излезе против Юдея, съгради Рама, за да не позволи на никого да излиза от Юдейския цар Аса, нито да влиза при него.

and Baasha king of Israel goeth up against Judah, and buildeth Ramah, not to permit any one going out and coming in to Asa king of Judah.

18 Т огава Аса взе цялото сребро и злато, останало в съкровищата на Господния дом и в съкровищата на царската къща, и ги предаде в ръцете на слугите си. Цар Аса ги прати при сирийския цар Венадад, син на Тавримон, син на Есион, който живееше в Дамаск, да му кажат:

And Asa taketh all the silver and the gold that are left in the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the house of the king, and giveth them into the hand of his servants, and king Asa sendeth them unto Ben-Hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion king of Aram, who is dwelling in Damascus, saying,

19 Н ека има договор между мен и тебе, както е имало между баща ми и твоя баща. Ето, пращам ти подарък сребро и злато. Иди, развали договора си с Израелевия цар Ваас, за да се оттегли от мен.

`A covenant between me and thee, between my father and thy father; lo, I have sent to thee a reward of silver and gold; go, break thy covenant with Baasha king of Israel, and he goeth up from off me.'

20 И Венадад послуша цар Аса и прати началниците на войските си против Израелевите градове, и порази Ийон, Дан, Авел-вет-мааха и целия Хинерот с цялата Нефталимова земя.

And Ben-Hadad hearkeneth unto king Asa, and sendeth the heads of the forces that he hath against cities of Israel, and smiteth Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and all Chinneroth, besides all the land of Naphtali;

21 А Ваас, като чу това, престана да гради Рама и се установи в Терса.

and it cometh to pass at Baasha's hearing, that he ceaseth from building Ramah, and dwelleth in Tirzah.

22 Т огава цар Аса провъзгласи на цяла Юдея без никакво изключение, и вдигнаха камъните на Рама и дърветата ѝ, с които Ваас градеше. С тях цар Аса съгради Гава Вениаминова и Масфа.

And king Asa hath summoned all Judah -- there is none exempt -- and they lift up the stones of Ramah, and its wood, that Baasha hath built, and king Asa buildeth with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

23 А всичките останали дела на Аса, всичките му подвизи, всичко, което извърши, и градовете, които съгради, са описани в Книгата на летописите на Юдейските царе. А в старостта си той се разболя от болест в краката.

And the rest of all the matters of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities that he built, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah? Only, at the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet;

24 И Аса заспа с бащите си и беше погребан с тях в града на баща си Давид. Вместо него се възцари синът му Йосафат. Израелското царство при Надав

and Asa lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoshaphat his son reigneth in his stead.

25 П рез втората година на Юдейския цар Аса над Израел се възцари Надав, Еровоамовият син, и царува̀ над Израел две години.

And Nadab son of Jeroboam hath reigned over Israel, in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigneth over Israel two years,

26 Т ой вършѝ зло пред Господа, като ходи в пътя на баща си и в греха му, като направи Израел да греши.

and doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and goeth in the way of his father, and in his sin that he made Israel to sin.

27 А Ваас, Ахиевият син, от Исахаровия дом, организира заговор против него. И Ваас го уби в Гиветон, който принадлежеше на филистимците; защото Надав и целият Израел обсаждаха Гиветон.

And conspire against him doth Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, and Baasha smiteth him in Gibbethon, which to the Philistines -- and Nadab and all Israel are laying siege against Gibbethon --

28 А Ваас го уби в третата година на Юдейския цар Аса и се възцари вместо него.

yea, Baasha putteth him to death in the third year of Asa king of Judah, and reigneth in his stead.

29 И щом се възцари, изби целия Еровоамов род. Не остави на Еровоам нищо живо, което да не изтреби, според словото, което Господ говори чрез слугата Си Ахия, силонеца,

And it cometh to pass, at his reigning, he hath smitten the whole house of Jeroboam, he hath not left any breathing to Jeroboam till his destroying him, according to the word of Jehovah, that He spake by the hand of His servant Ahijah the Shilonite,

30 з аради греховете, с които Еровоам съгреши и чрез които направи Израел да греши, и поради раздразнението, с което предизвика гнева на Господа, Израелевия Бог.

because of the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned, and that he caused Israel to sin, by his provocation with which he provoked to anger Jehovah, God of Israel.

31 А останалите дела на Надав и всичко, което извърши, са записани в Книгата на летописите на Израелевите царе.

And the rest of the matters of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

32 И между Аса и Израелевия цар Ваас имаше война през всичките им дни. Израелското царство при Ваас

And war hath been between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

33 В третата година на Юдейския цар Аса в Терса се възцари Ваас, Ахиевият син, над целия Израел и царува двадесет и четири години.

In the third year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Baasha son of Ahijah over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years,

34 Т ой вършѝ зло пред Господа, като ходѝ в пътя на Еровоам и в греха му, чрез който направи Израел да греши.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and walketh in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin that he caused Israel to sin.
